Hi everyone! Welcome to this week’s MLW Fusion recap. Up first on tonight’s show was a Trios Match between Arez, Gino Medina, and Mini Abismo Negro vs. Aramis, El Dragon, and Mister Saint Laurent’s mystery fighter. And in the main event, Jacob Fatu battled Mads Kruger. The latest episode of MLW Fusion can be viewed below:

Strong Points of the Show

  • Gino Medina is a talented wrestler. And based on what happened after the Trios match, it seems as if Gino will have a spot going forward, which is awesome. I enjoyed the aggressiveness Medina showed towards Rich Bocchini and El Dragon.
  • Jacob Fatu and Mads Kruger beat the hell out of each other tonight, which was great to see. I’m looking forward to seeing the rematch between these two competitors.
  • Cesar Duran continues to stir the pot and I love it. I love how Cesar tempted and manipulated Holliday to go after Davey Richards in order to get his world title shot.

Weak Points of the Show

  • I am glad that Arez’s alliance with Dr. Dax and Holidead was acknowledged during the opening match. However, I would have liked to have seen Holidead at ringside with Dr. Dax. Especially since Holidead hasn’t appeared on Fusion in months.

Other Notes/Highlights

  • Mads Kruger promised to brutalize Jacob Fatu in their match later on in the programming.
  • Emilio Sparks attempted to question EJ Nduka about The Dynasty’s break-up. However, EJ Nduka lifted Emilio against a wall and told Sparks that he didn’t like to be touched. Then, Nduka swore that he and Hammerstone were on good terms before walking off.
  • Mister Saint Laurent introduced Microman before the Trios match began. Saint Laurent also joined Rich Bocchini and Joe Dombrowski on commentary for the Trios match.
  • 5150 celebrated their win over Los Parks last week with a couple of ladies. Then, 5150 taunted the Von Erichs by saying they came to Dallas only for the Von Erichs to bail on their scheduled match.
  • Rich Bocchini announced that nZo was reinstated after being suspended for attacking KC Navarro a couple of months ago.
  • KC Navarro vs. Ho Ho Lun was announced for next week’s broadcast. Also announced for next week is a Fatal Four Way for the World Middleweight Championship between Tajiri, Myron Reed, Matt Cross, and a mystery opponent.
  • Alex Kane and Calvin Tankman discussed their recent issues. Kane mocked Tankman, while Calvin denounced Alex for trying to get him arrested and costing him the Opera Cup. Moreover, Calvin stated that he didn’t need to tell people how great he is like Alex Kane does. After the vignette, Alex Kane promised Emilio Sparks that he would choke Tankman out. Alex Kane vs. Calvin Tankman will fight next week for the National Openweight Championship.
  • Microman was announced for MLW’s Superfight event.
  • Alex Hammerstone and Davey Richards talked about their upcoming championship match at Superfight.
  • Near the end of the main event, Ikuro Kwon attempted to interfere on Kruger’s behalf. However, Kwon accidentally hit Kruger instead of Fatu and cost Kruger the match. After the match, Kwon and Kruger attacked Fatu, but Fatu fought both men off. At one point, Kruger tossed Kwon off the stage onto referees before going after Fatu again as security unsuccessfully tried to break things up.

Match Results

  • Trios Match: Aramis, El Dragon, and Microman (with Mister Saint Laurent) defeated Arez, Gino Medina, and Mini Abismo Negro (with Dr. Dax) via pinfall.
  • Jacob Fatu defeated Mads Kruger via pinfall.
