Joey Janela’s premiere event has taken on an evolution over the years. Where it once felt like a show full of wacky matchups you’d make in a video game; now it’s become like GCW’s WrestleMania. This event is no different as nearly every GCW Championship is on the line with some big non-title matches to boot. This is shaping up to be one of the biggest Spring Breaks yet.

You can watch Joey Janela’s Spring Break 6 Part 1 live on Thursday March 31st at 8pm CDT. Here’s a breakdown of the 6 announced matches for the show. For match announcements and information regarding all 12 Collective events, you can visit HERE.

Ever since December 2019, AJ Gray has had one goal, win back the GCW World Championship. Jon Moxley has held the title since September and has successfully defended against Nick Gage and Homicide. After winning the Brass Ring Ladder Match at Hammerstein, AJ earned a guaranteed match with champ Jon Moxley. Can AJ finally reach the top of the mountain once again?

For a long while there’s been a debate on whether Alex Colon or John Wayne Murdoch is the Best Deathmatch Wrestler in The US. While you can argue that, you cannot dispute that Colon is the best in GCW. With 3 TOS wins, an NGI win and 2 Ultaviolent Title reigns, Colon is simply the best. After a war of words and blindsides, Alex successfully defended his Ultraviolent Championship against John Wayne Murdoch on New Year’s Day. Now John has yet another chance to show the world that he’s still in the Best in The US conversation.

There is much history in this match as The Briscoes dethroned SGC to win the GCW Tag Team Championships. Then, Nick Gage & Matt Tremont dethroned The Briscoes at Hammerstein in a match that left both fans and The Briscoes wanting more. In the meantime, Mance Warner has returned from injury and is looking to pick up those titles once again with SGC partner Matthew Justice. You can anticipate this match to be all out anarchy and fuckery galore.

These two started as allies, battling Matt Cardona and his band of merry men. They even teamed together to take on The Major Players; successfully defeating them in Los Angeles. Then, things took a turn as Joey Janela blindsided X-Pac after the match. Now showing fans a new, egomaniacal side to The Bad Boy. After costing Joey his match with Ninja Mack in Hollywood, both men are entering this show with bad blood on their mind. Will Joey finally get the recognition and flowers he sees that he deserves in victory at his own show?

Since his return to the indies, Blake Christian has proven that he is a multi-tooled threat in the ring. He has taken on the challenge of guys like Bandido, Lio Rush and Mike Bailey and shown he truly is “All Heart.” At Spring Break, he gets to put all of those tools to work against an incredibly gifted high flyer in AR Fox. Where Fox’s appearances on the indies are fewer nowadays, Fox will be looking to shine against the young Blake.

Allie Katch has consistently proven herself to be one of the best women on the indies. Because of this work ethic, she’s warranted huge matches against the likes of AEW’s Ruby Soho and Thunder Rosa, and IMPACT’s Jordynne Grace. In what might be the biggest match of her career, Allie takes on former WWE Womens’ & IMPACT Knockouts’ Champion Mickie James. This could truly be the door opening match that takes Allie Katch to the next level.

What would a GCW show be without a Scramble? In a “Scramble to end all Scrambles” Joey Janela has lined up six hungry competitors and given them a spotlight to shine. This Night One Scramble just might put attention on any of these six across the rest of The Collective.
