On Sunday, February 19th, Create A Pro Wrestling held their first big event of 2023, “OH BABY!” featuring Heath, and all of the top talents in Create A Pro Wrestling. Create A Pro Wrestling Academy has produced some of the biggest wrestlers around today, including Bear Bronson, Kris Statlander, and the AEW World Champion, MJF. Led by head trainers Brian Myers and Pat Buck, Create A Pro is proving to be one of the top wrestling schools in the United States today.

This card was headlined by a Create A Pro Television Championship Match, when the current champion Bobby Orlando defended his title against the “Dime Piece” Aaron Rourke in an “I Quit” match. We also saw the reuniting of VSK and Eric James, Adrenaline Express, take on the team of Brian Myers and Heath, as well as a battle royal to determine an interim Create A Pro Champion, while Bryce Donovan is currently out of commission with a broken hand.

CAP Tag Team Championship Match: Better Call Slade (c) vs. Birds of the Sun vs. Brick City Boyz vs. Mr. Tibbs and CPA

Winners, and new Create A Pro Tag Team Champions: Mr. Tibbs and CPA

This match was a lot of fun and a great way to kick off the show. “Smart” Mark Sterling and Slade came into the match hoping to defend their titles but knew they would have an uphill battle to climb. The crowd was behind Slade and Sterling, as well as CPA and Mr. Tibbs. Slade and Sterling each hit a double chokeslam on the heel tag teams in this match (Birds of the Sun, and Brick City Boyz). This was a great match for all involved. Ultimately, it would end with Tibbs and CPA hitting a big move on Leo Sparrow and pinning him to win their first tag team championships.

Celsius Live Pit in the Clear Match: Kevin Kiley Jr. vs. JGeorge

Winner: Kevin Kiley

This match was actually a lot of fun. The crowd was firmly behind Kiley as the former WWE superstar looked to gain another victory under his belt in his return to the ring. JGeorge uses the clapboard to his advantage to try to gain the upper hand, but it was not to be as Kiley picks up his second victory at Create A Pro, making his record there now 2-0.

Adrenaline Express vs. Brian Myers and Heath

Winners: Brian Myers and Heath

Eric James and Heath start the match, and they had some fun in the beginning. James proposed a concert with Heath playing air guitar, which Heath agreed to. James would try to turn on Heath early on with a kick to the gut, but Heath was able to catch the kick and take the fight right to James. Heath made the tag into Brian Myers, but Myers would not fare too well against VSK and James. Adrenaline Express did a good job at keeping Myers out of his corner and beating down their trainer. Myers is eventually able to hit Heath with the hot tag and Heath comes in and takes everyone out. The match ended with Myers hitting a spear on VSK, followed by Heath hitting his finisher on VSK, and a Myers elbow drop to seal the deal.

Ariela Nyx’s Invitational Battle Royal for the interim CAP Championship

Winner: Vargas

This was a very fun match that saw some of the best Create A Pro Wrestling Academy has to offer, from their more established wrestlers to their students, everyone was involved. The match came down to Evil Kip and Dr. Cool. Ultimately, Kip was able to eliminate Dr. Cool and began celebrating, forgetting there was one more man involved. Phil Cardigan showed back up in the ring and eliminated Kip and the crowd went nuts. However, Ariela Nyx made her way out to the ring and said there was one more person Cardigan had to eliminate.

The “Dominican Destroyer” Vargas made his way down to the ring and made light work of Cardigan to win his first Create A Pro Championship. After the match, Vargas kept beating down Cardigan, but the real Create A Pro Champion, Bryce Donovan made the save, only to be low-blowed and taken out by a Samoan Spike. Donovan who is out with a broken hand was quickly made light work of by Vargas. Later this year, we will see Vargas and Bryce Donovan meet to determine the Create A Pro Champion, once and for all.

B3CCA vs The Notorious Mimi

Winner: The Notorious Mimi

B3CCA gained control of this match in the early going. The fans greeted her with a lot of “Boston Sucks” chants and were entirely behind Mimi. This was a great back-and-forth match between two of the top women on the independent wrestling scene today. Ultimately, Mimi was able to hit her finisher for the three-count after a solid match by both competitors.

Bronson vs. TJ Crawford

Winner: TJ Crawford (by Disqualification)

This match could have very well been the best one of the night. Crawford made his way out limping, with Bronson mocking him who was already in the ring. Crawford quickly showed that he was faking and quickly took the fight to the AEW star. The two brawled outside to kick off the match. As the two made their way back into the ring, Bronson would get the better of Crawford. Bronson beat up the injured leg of Crawford, but Crawford was able to fight back into the match, hitting a massive powerbomb on Bronson.

Realizing he wasn’t going to get the better of Crawford on this night, Bronson took a steel chair to Crawford and got himself disqualified. As Bronson tried to continue his attack, Crawford reversed it and was able to get a few shots of his own in on Bronson, fending off the big man and standing tall to end the match.

Create A Pro Television Championship “I Quit” match: Bobby Orlando (c) vs. Aaron Rourke

Winner and still CAP Television Champion: Bobby Orlando

Aaron Rourke attacked Orlando during the introductions of this match, quickly taking the fight to him. Bobby fights back as the two brawled inside, and outside the ring. Orlando positioned Rourke on a chair and attempted to hit an elbow drop, but Rourke moved which left Orlando to crash and burn on the chair. Rourke put a trash can on Orlando’s head and started going to town on it with a Kendo Stick. With Rourke still beating down Orlando, Orlando was able to gain some of his strength back to send both him and Rourke through a door positioned in the ring.

Later on in the match, Aaron Rourke would bring out the duct tape and tape Orlando’s hands together. After giving him two chances to quit earlier in the match, he figured he’d give him one more chance, and Orlando declined his offer. Rourke promised to hurt Orlando now and was about to make good on his promise. However, Orlando was able to fight back into the match with his hands still taped together, and was able to choke the dime piece out, forcing him to say “I Quit.”

Overall, this show was another incredible card from top to bottom. We saw a lot of talented performers doing what they do best. Aaron Rourke and Bobby Orlando put on an incredible match to cap off an already fantastic show. Bronson and Crawford put on another fantastic match, that saw two of the established wrestlers going at it. Also, Vargas is now on top of the Create A Pro mountain for the time being, which doesn’t fare well for anyone who hopes to take his spot.

Hello, my name is Scott Mitchell and I have been a professional wrestling fan since 2005. Like everyone the first promotion I really fell in love with is the WWE. However, as I got older, I got largely into the greatness known as independent wrestling. Independent wrestling has turned into one of my biggest passions. Please enjoy!
