On Saturday, April 29th, WrestlePro held its big event, Anarchy, live from its home in Rahway, NJ. The show was headlined by an absolutely insane triple-threat match for the WrestlePro Gold Championship between Deonn Rusman, LSG, and Dan Maff. We also saw the first-ever Casket match in WrestlePro history between Fallah Bahh and Dark STG. Also, Lady Frost defended her WrestlePro Women’s Championship against Dasha.

Matt Hayter vs. Cheeseburger

Winner: Cheeseburger

Matt Hayter and Cheeseburger put on a very fun and entertaining opening match. Hayter did a great job controlling a lot of the match, but Cheeseburger would be able to fight back into it. Ultimately, it would be an arm-bar by Cheeseburger to give him the victory, when Hayter tapped out. It’s always a pleasure seeing Cheeseburger, and Hayter looked great and did a fantastic job at being a heel. The audience had a blast seeing Hayter get beat by Cheeseburger.

Crowbar vs. Yoscifer El vs. Colton Charles

Winner: Colton Charles

This match saw two of the younger guns in WrestlePro take on a legend in Crowbar. Colton Charles and Yoscifer El both looked great going up against a legend like Crowbar. Charles has all the makings to be the next star to come out of WrestlePro, and frankly, it could happen sooner than later. After a fun triple-threat match, ultimately Colton Charles would hit Crowbar with a big spear for a three-count. This was a great showing of WrestlePro’s young guns, along with a legend in Crowbar.

Pat Buck vs. Zack Clayton

Winner: Zack Clayton

This match saw one of WrestlePro’s most established and top wrestlers, Pat Buck, take on another one of the young, up-and-coming stars, Zack Clayton. Clayton took the fight to Buck and did a good job at showing that he can hang with the best of them. Using some underhanded tactics, Clayton was able to get the three-count over a very game Pat Buck. Regardless of how it happened, a win over Buck is a huge deal for someone like Clayton. Fantastic match.

Traxx and Victor Benjamin vs. GKM and Max St. Giovanni

Winner: Traxx and Victor Benjamin

The match featured the Ace of Space Academy taking on Dave Sturchio’s least favorite team, Traxx and Victor Benjamin. This match started off hot with the Ace of Space Academy taking it to Traxx and Victor Benjamin. However, Benjamin would use his MMA background to take the fight to Max, grounding him for a good portion of the match. After coming very close to winning the match, ultimately Traxx would pin Max St. Giovanni with a roll-up after hitting a low blow. This was an absolute barn-burner of a match and could have very well been one of the matches of the night.

Shawn Donovan vs. Anthony

Winner: Anthony

This match marks the return of Shawn Donovan for the first time in a few months. Before the match, Shawn Donovan says that the WrestlePro Gold Champion has a target on his back. This was about as big of a squash match as it gets. Donovan could have won the match a few times but decided to have some fun at Anthony’s expense. Ultimately, Anthony rolled up Donovan for the three-count stunning the crowd and the commentator team. This was the upset of the century.

WrestlePro Silver Championship Casket Match: Dark STG (w/ Zio Zagan) vs Fallah Bahh

Winner: And New WrestlePro Silver Champion, Dark STG

This has been arguably one of the best rivalries in WrestlePro of recent memory. This match marked the first-ever casket match in the history of WrestlePro. It also marked the end of Fallah Bahh’s reign. After a fun, back-and-forth match, ultimately, Dark STG would hit two spears in a row on Bahh and send Bahh into the casket to win the match. Bahh put up a great fight against one of the top stars on WrestlePro. Who can stop Dark STG as it looks like his reign of terror will officially begin? What a beast.

#1 Contender’s Match for the WrestlePro Gold Championship: Bobby Wayward vs CPA

Winner: And New #1 Contender for the WrestlePro Gold Championship, CPA

This match featured two of the pillars of WrestlePro facing off to see who will be next in line to challenge for the WrestlePro Gold Championship. The match starts out pretty even, but ultimately it’s Wayward who gets the best of CPA to control the match for a good portion of it. Despite a great showing by Wayward, it would ultimately be CPA who upsets Wayward after nailing his finishing move for the three-count. While Wayward continues to show why he is one of WrestlePro’s best, CPA continues to show why not only is he entertaining and funny, he can go in the ring.

WrestlePro Tag Team Championship Match: Iron Savages (c) vs. VBU

Winners: And Still WrestlePro Tag Team Champions, Iron Savages

VBU, consisting of Dante Drago and Jack Tomlinson, are two of the top Create A Pro students around today. While they had a tall task ahead of them in the form of the Iron Savages, VBU should never be taken lightly. VBU put on a very entertaining match with the Iron Savages, and although it looked like a mismatch, it was closer than a lot of people would think. VBU did a good job at controlling the match and taking the fight to Bronson. In the end, it would be Bronson who picks up the victory over Drago in a great match. This match continued to show how dominant the Iron Savages are and showed everyone that VBU while entertaining, can hang with the best of them.

WrestlePro Women’s Championship Match: Lady Frost (c) vs. Dasha

Winner: And Still WrestlePro Women’s Champion, Lady Frost

This match featured the WrestlePro debut of Dasha as she looked to win gold on her first night in WrestlePro as she takes on the champ, Lady Frost. Lady Frost has been all around the United States doing her thing, showing the world why she is as good as she says she is. Tonight was no different. This was a good match, and a fun showing by Dasha in her debut at WrestlePro. Ultimately, Lady Frost would be the victor, when she pinned Dasha to retain her WrestlePro Women’s Championship. Is there anyone who can dethrone Lady Frost? What a champion.

WrestlePro Gold Championship TLC Match: Deonn Rusman vs. LSG vs. Dan Maff

Winner: And New WrestlePro Gold Champion, Vargas

This match has been months in the making. Deonn Rusman and LSG both have the right to call themselves the WrestlePro Gold Champion, the only difference is LSG is the interim champion. Tonight was winner-take-all and it featured arguably the three best WrestlePro stars. From top to bottom, this main event was incredible. It was violent, hard-hitting, and about as good as it gets. There was a cool moment in the match where Maff pushed the ladder over with Rusman on it, sending Rusman to the floor crashing through a door. Ultimately, after all the interferences from the Ace of Space Academy, Victor Benjamin, and Traxx, a new faction of a Create A Pro Long Island invasion would show up and beat down Rusman. This would lead to Vargas cashing in his on-the-spot medallion and would become the new WrestlePro Gold Champion. This was an incredible sequence. We have a new WrestlePro Gold Champion, and his name is Vargas.

Overall, this show was fantastic from top to bottom. We saw title changes, titles retained, returns, debuts, and so much more. WrestlePro continues to prove why they are one of the best independent wrestling promotions around today, and if you have not checked them out, you should. Hello, my name is Scott Mitchell and I have been a professional wrestling fan since 2005. Like everyone the first promotion I really fell in love with is the WWE. However, as I got older, I got largely into the greatness known as independent wrestling. Independent wrestling has turned into one of my biggest passions. Please enjoy!
