Deathmatch legend and current IWTV Independent Wrestling World Champion Matt Tremont has dropped the news of the closing of the H2O Wrestling Academy.

In a statement, Tremont says “As of this past January and now can officially announce that the H2O Wrestling Academy is no longer a thing. They all came here and learned to become fantastic professional wrestlers which I’m very proud of them all, and for them to want to come here and also want to partake in the hardcore / Deathmatch world and do it the right way means even more!”

He goes on to say he doesn’t plan on running a school or teaching anywhere again. While the school is closed, he states “H2O is going nowhere and here to stay.”

With that news, there will be a deathmatch tournament featuring the final students of Matt Tremont. Some students will compete in the tournament, those not in the tournament will fight in non tournament hardcore matches. Tremont will also wrestle one of his students in a one-on-one non tournament match.

“The Last Generation Death Match Tournament” will take place on Saturday June 24th live at the H2O Wrestling Center in Williamstown, New Jersey. The event will live stream on IWTV. Tickets and more information to be announced.
