Ladies Night 2 is an event that includes some of the best female independent wrestlers across the country, including AEW and OVW star Leila Grey, former ROH star Vita Vonstarr, NWA Women’s Tag Team Champion Missa Kate, and many more. It also features a 30-minute Iron Women Match where Gia Scott defends the MCW Women’s Championship against Ray Lyn.

Christina Marie vs. Ultra Violette

We open with the HOG Women’s Champion, Ultra Violette, against the CCW Women’s Champion, Christina Marie. This was a very hard-hitting match. Violette had Christina in a pinning attempt with an incredible suplex bridge, but Christina kicked out and answered with a spear for the win. Christina Marie continues her winning ways, as she has been on an absolute roll. Christina has been really using her quickness and athleticism a lot more recently, along with the power and intensity that she has always used.

Emily Jaye vs. JC Storm

This is a battle between 2 young wrestlers, as the debuting JC Storm faces the crowd favorite Emily Jaye. Storm seems to be a little cocky and possibly overconfident in the beginning of the match. Jaye takes advantage of Storm possibly underestimating her, but Storm gets control of the match after throwing Jaye into the ropes and kicking her in the head. Storm uses the ring post to damage Jaye’s legs, but Jaye makes a rally with a bulldog. Emily gets distracted and loses her focus, which leads to JC hitting a Flatliner for the win.

Brittany Jade vs. Ella Envy

Ella Envy has had a lot of her success as a tag team wrestler, capturing the NWA Women’s Tag Team Championship and the New South Tag Team Championship as part of Pretty Empowered, but she is all alone in this match against the young rising star Brittany Jade. Brittany is the crowd favorite and gets the early advantage with a head scissor takedown. However, Ella catches her in the corner and drops Brittany spine first on her knee. Ella trash talks the crowd and Brittany as she is beating Brittany down, which has to add insult to injury and be very frustrating. Brittany is able to turn the tide with a swinging neck breaker, followed by a Russian Leg Sweep and a belly-to-belly suplex. Ella hits Brittany with a Yakusa Kick and an Ella Bottom, but Brittany does not stay down. Brittany avoids a spin kick from Ella, hits a backcracker and then a shining wizard for the win.

Katie Arquette vs. Leila Grey

The former IWC Women’s Champion and Queen of the Silver Screen, Katie Arquette, takes on The Baddie and former OVW Women’s Champion, Leila Grey. Katie does not seem to be showing much respect for The Baddie and pays for it early. Katie baits Grey to the outside of the ring and takes Leila’s leg out from under her on the apron and Leila crashes headfirst to the hardest part of the ring. The crowd gets behind Leila, and Leila hits Katie with some clotheslines, a sling blade, knee in the corner, bulldog combination for a near fall. Katie keeps fighting back, but Leila hits her with a face buster for the win.

Megan Bayne vs. Rebecca Scott

Rebecca Scott is giving up a lot of size to Megan Bayne, but Scott is incredibly tough and will look to use her quickness and intelligence to combat the size discrepancy. Bayne is coming off an injury and is looking to reclaim her dominance in the MCW women’s division and women’s divisions all over the east coast. Rebecca takes the fight to Bayne, but Bayne only needs one power move to get the momentum back on her side. Bayne easily throws Scott over her head and out of the ring. Rebecca tries to fight back, but each attempt is short lived. Scott gets some impressive offense in, when she gets Bayne up for a German Suplex, followed by a really nice springboard flatliner off the middle rope. Scott comes off the top rope, but Bayne catches her and slams her into the mat. Scott fights back, but Bayne is just too much for her as she drops Scott face first into the mat and gets the win.

Nikii Duke vs. Missa Kate

Missa Kate is half of the NWA women’s tag team champions as well as former CSW and ZOWA champion. Nikii Duke is making her MCW debut and is looking to make a name for herself. Missa starts the match by laying strikes into Duke, but Duke is able to catch her with a rana and shows off some of her gymnastics abilities. This is short lived though, as Missa gets control back with a boot to the face and is ruthless in the face of the jeers from the fans. Nikki goes for a back handspring elbow in the corner, but Missa catches her and throws her face first into the middle turnbuckle. She follows that up with a spinning crescent kick for the win.

Zoey Skye vs. Vita Vonstarr

Vita Vonstarr is a former ROH wrestler and is looking to take down the always impressive Zoey Skye, who seems to collect titles everywhere she goes, including Shimmer, Rise and AIW. Vita uses her flexibility and unorthodox offense to get the advantage early on. Zoey is able to withstand Vita’s onslaught and comes back with some offense of her own, including a cross body from the top rope. Vita attempts to come off the top rope onto Zoey, but Zoey gets her knees up and hits Vita with a backstabber. The veteran is staying one step ahead of Vita, as she moves out of the way, in the corner, and hits Vita with a DDT on the apron. Zoey goes up top, but Vita uses the ref as a shield and kicks the ropes, causing Zoey to lose her balance. Vita then locks Zoey in a submission and Zoey is forced to tap out.

30-minute Iron Woman Match for the MCW Woman’s Championship:  Gia Scott (c) vs. Ray Lyn

Ray Lyn is the current IWC Women’s Champion and the former MCW Women’s Champion. Gia Scott defeated B3CCA to win the MCW championship for the fifth time. The beginning of this match is very even with Gia and Ray Lyn exchanging holds and neither one able to get the advantage for very long. Ray Lyn looks to turn things up as she sits Gia on a chair on the outside of the ring. Gia is able to avoid a kick from Ray Lyn and gets her with a drop toehold into the chair. She then sets Ray Lyn on the chair and gives Ray Lyn a boot to the face. Gia tries to pick Ray Lyn up, but Ray Lyn slips out and hits the Ray Cray for the first fall with around 15:40 left in the match.

Ray Lyn starts working on Gia’s legs and locks in a submission, but Gia is able to fight out. Ray Lyn lays into Gia with a series of kicks, but Gia answers with a Rock Bottom to even up the match at 1 a piece with 12:10 left in the match. Gia picks Ray Lyn up on the apron and drops her through a table on the outside of the ring. This results in a double count out, and the score is 2-2. Both combatants crawl back into the ring with a little over 7 minutes left and exchange strikes. They kick each other in the head, and both are down on the mat. As they are making their way up to their feet, the locker room comes out to cheer these ladies on. Ray Lyn hits a spinning DDT from the middle rope, but it is not enough for her to take the lead.

Ray Lyn goes to the top rope, but Gia meets her there and hits a superplex. Ray Lyn misses with a spin kick and Gia hits a spinebuster to go up 3-2 with 2 minutes left. Ray Lyn goes for the Ray Cray again, but Gia counters with another spinebuster and goes up 4-2 with about a minute left. Ray Lyn tries to fight back with all that she has and even hits another Ray Cray, but does not have the energy to cover Gia as time expires. Gia Scott retains her championship in an incredible match.

There were lots of great matches on this show involving established stars in women’s wrestling and new up-and-comers looking to impress in their MCW debuts. The main event was obviously the match of the show, as both Gia Scott and Ray Lyn killed it in the ring. I also thought Rebecca Scott and Megan Bayne had a really good match. Missa Kate, Christina Marie and Ella Envy really got to prove why they are going to be future stars.

You can watch this show, along with a lot of MCW’s past shows, including the first Ladies Night on FITE+.
