Last night, SPARK Joshi Puroresu of America held their debut event at The Heart Ballroom in Newark, New Jersey. In the main event, Miyu Yamashita took on Rachael Ellering for a chance to become the inaugural SPARK Joshi World Champion. The match saw Yamashita coming out on top and becoming the first ever champion.

Other matches of SPARK’s “Ignite East” included Saki vs Billie Starkz, Maki Itoh vs Brittany Blake, Rina Yamashita vs Masha Slamovich, and more.

While the event wasn’t streamed live, it was taped for VOD, with streaming details coming soon.

This Friday SPARK will hold their second ever event, this time on the West Coast. “Ignite West” will take place at the East San Gabriel Valley Japanese Community Center in West Covina, California. The announced matches are listed below.

  • Ram Kaichow vs. Saki
  • Miyu Yamashita vs. Delilah Doom
  • Sumie Sukai vs. Kidd Bandit
  • Maki Itoh vs. Zeda Zhang
