The recently crowned GCW World Champion Blake Christian was pulled from last night’s Game Changer Wrestling “Thank Me Later” event in Los Angeles, California. Blake Christian was scheduled to make his first title defense as GCW Champion against Kevin Blackwood, after winning the championship at GCW’s “Cage of Survival 2” on June 4th. Blackwood ended up competing in a three way match against Jack Cartwheel and Titus Alexander.

GCW announced the change two hours before the start of the event, stating “Due to circumstances out of our control, Blake Christian will be unable to appear at #GCWThanks tonite in LA.”

It turns out that Blake Christian was pulled by AEW/ROH to compete in Ring of Honor tapings taking place at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois following the premier episode of AEW Collision. Christian teamed with Matt Sydal to take on Big Bill and Lee Moriarty.
