This week’s MLW Fusion started with a video package showing sit downs with both Delmi Exo and Taya Valkyrie. Both cut promos on each other speaking about how they going to win in tonight’s MLW Featherweight Championship Match.

From there we go into the arena. Joe Dombroswki and Matt Striker are the announce team for this episode. Dombroswki goes through and hypes up the matches for tonight’s episode. First the opening match is the triple threat match for the MLW Middleweight Championship. Followed by Willie Mack vs Sam Adonis. Followed by the Main Event for the MLW Women’s Featherweight Championship.

We go to ring announcer Mike Falvo, who introduced champion Lince Dorado first for the opening contest. Akira attacks Dorado from behind. Raven walked out with gas mask wearing henchmen from The Calling behind him. Akira suplexes Dorado onto the floor outside the ring. As this is happening, Lio Rush comes down to the ring with Dorado’s stolen championship.

We go to a video clip showing how Lio rush came into possession in Dorado’s championship when he stole it.

 

MLW Middleweight Championship Match: Lince Dorado (c) vs. Lio Rush vs. Akira (w/Raven, Gas Masked Henchman) –

Back in the ring, the match has begun. Akira and Lio Rush start off the match, while Dorado is still down outside of the ring. Rush & Akira takes turns going back and forth in what was some fast paced action. Lince joined the action in the ring and sends Akira & Rush to the outside floor as we go to break.

Back from the break Lince hits a tornado from top rope onto both opponents outside the ring. We get a split second stair down and battle between Lince & Rush. After all three battled for some time. The ending came when Akira hits the death penalty on Lince Dorado to become the new MLW Middleweight Champonship.

Result: Akira defeats Lince Dorado (c) and Lio Rush to become new MLW Middleweight Champion.



We get a replay of key points in the match. From there Dombrowski said Taya Valkyrie is in the back and have some comments. She starts speaking but there are some audio issues. A crew member came to tell Taya the audio wasn’t working. She got upset and “said are you serious?!”

Back into the arena, the crowd is cheering as we get an update on the condition of Jacob Fatu. Fatu cuts a promo on John Hennigan and said he was cleared to wrestle next week and he is coming for the title. The National Openweight Championship Match is announced for next week. Dombrowski also announced the Willie Mack vs Sam Adonis match will happen after the break.

Back from the break, Sam Adonis and John Hennigan make their entrance. Footage is shown of Sam Laterna’s pre-taped interview with Willie Mack, who cuts a promo on his opponent Sam Adonis. Back in the arena, Sam Adonis is in the ring on the mic introducing himself and insulting the crowd. Willie Mack then makes his entrance. He grabs the mic from the ring announcer and calls him out for listing him being from the wrong part of California. Mack also spoke about sticking his foot up Adonis’ ass and that he had another boot for Hennigan, if he had a problem with it.

 

Willie Mack vs. Sam Adonis (w/John Hennigan)

Willie Mack came out fast and clotheslined Adonis to the floor. Mack followed him to the outside, where he was distracted by Hennigan.  He managed to get Adonis back inside the ring. Mack went for a leapfrog but Adonis foiled it by hitting the inside of his leg. Adonis is in control heading into a break.

Back from the break, Adonis starts to walk the ropes until Mack pulled him inside the ring. Mack performed a Death Valley Driver while favoring his leg. Mack then performed a standing moonsault for two count. Both wrestlers started trading blows with each other.

Hennigan got involved by grabbing Mack’s foot and then climbed onto the ring apron. Mack knocked Hennigan to the floor, however Adonis took advantage of the distraction. The end came when Adonis hit a 450 splash for the win.

Result: Sam Adonis defeated Willie Mack via pinfall.

 

Next, Mance Warner is interviewed by Sam Laterna on the stage. Sam Adonis was upset with Warner interrupting his victory. Warner spit beer in Adonis’ face. Hennigan hit Warner and then Adonis joined in for a double team. They proceed to take Warner to the ring.

Adonis took a leather strap and wrapped it around the throat of Warner. Adonis choked Warner with the assistance of Hennigan. Two officials entered the ring and were able to break it up, however Adonis went back to choking Warner. Matt Striker asked if they have to show this footage as we go to a break.

We then go to the MLW Never Say Never control room segment. They talk about Hammerstone vs. Kane for the MLW Heavyweight Championship. We go to Kane and Mr. Thomas together where Kane cuts a promo. And both finish by saying Boomaye is for the people. Dombrowski promoted and hyped the MLW Tag Team Title Match between the Samoan Swat Team (Juicy Finau & Lance Anoa’i) (c) and The Calling (Rickey Shane Page & Akira), in a Fans Bring the Weapons match. Also Timothy Thatcher will be taking on Tracy Williams and B3cca will be performing live at Never Say Never. This live event on Saturday, July 8th, will be coming from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA and is streaming on FITE+.

Next we go backstage where Taya Valkyrie delivered a promo. The audio cuts out again. The crew member wants to replace her mic. Valkyrie tried to go back to talking, but the producer said the fans would not be able to hear her, even though the audio was good. Valkyrie ended by saying there was a reason that she was moving on, “Wera Loca out.”

Dombrowski did a recap of the show so far and said MLW officials were considering potential punishments for Adonis and Hennigan’s attack on Mance Warner.

It is now time for the main event. Ring announcer Mike Falvo starts the introductions. Delmi Exo was introduced first, followed by Taya Valkyrie who came down with John Hennigan.

 

MLW Featherweight Championship: Taya Valkyrie (c) (w/John Hennigan) vs. Delmi Exo

We go to a commercial break early at the beginning of the contest. Back from the break, Valkyrie ducked one kick, but Delmi caught her with another. Delmi was in control in the early stages of this match by hitting a fisherman’s suplex and then a pedigree, both for near falls.

Valkyrie came back with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a two count. Valkyrie set up for her finisher, the Road to Valhalla, but Delmi elbowed her way free. Hennigan then grabbed the foot of Delmi. Valkyrie took advantage by going for a rollup, but Delmi ended up rolling Valkyrie into a pin.

Shortly after, Valkyrie accidentally knocked Hennigan off the ring apron as the crowd chanted “You fuc*ed up.” Exo then hit her Delmi Driver to pick up the three count to be come the new Featherweight Champion.

Result: Delmi Exo defeated Taya Valkyire (c) via pinfall to become the New MLW Women’s Featherweight Champion.
Delmi Exo celebrated her win and held up her championship. A Replay of highlights from the match were shown. Striker asked the question on whether Exo would be a good queen or an evil queen. Delmi then went to ringside and celebrated with the fans. She heads up to the stage and holds up the belt as the show goes off the air.
This was a great episode of MLW Fusion. It was action packed and we got to see two new champions crowned. Next week should also be great with the National Openweight Championship Match between John Hennigan (c) against Jacob Fatu.
