This event was held on Sunday, July 16, and broadcast to EVE members on YouTube on July 22. It included the debut of Regina Rosendal and the returns of Alex Windsor and Mercedes Martinez.

The opening bout was an exhibition between Rayne Leverkusen and Amara Jayde. Rayne is still feeling the effects of her knee injury, so she was not cleared to wrestle an official match. However, the young Amara was more than happy to step up and show what she could do. Amara gave Rayne quite a battle, but Rayne came out on top with a spinebuster.

The next match saw Rhio face the debuting Regina Rosendahl, who is from Finland. Regina was very impressive in her debut, using her size to her advantage and almost pulled off the upset victory after hitting Rhio with a Vader Bomb. Regina received a bloody face from Rhio’s kicks and eventually was defeated by pinfall in this very hard hitting battle. Rhio continues to prove she is one of the top competitors in EVE and I would love to see Regina come back to EVE in the future.

Skye Smitson and Session Moth Martina started their match with a very enthusiastic dance off, and eventually got serious and had quite an entertaining match. Skye came to the ring alone, but Nightshade came out to ringside during the match. Skye picked up the victory after a distraction from Nightshade and with the assistance of a handful of Martina’s pants. After the match, Martina said that she does not have any friends left in EVE and that she needs a friend to drink with. The Ava, who appears to have been drinking all day, comes in the ring and starts dancing and drinking with Martina.

The semi main event is the returning Alex Windsor against Nightshade. Skye Smitson came out to the ring with Nightshade, but did not really factor into the match. Alex was able to pick up the win after powerbombing Nightshade out of the corner, then hitting her with a running kick to the chin. Nightshade dominated most of this match, which went over 15 minutes, but Alex kept fighting back.

The main event saw Mercedes Martinez against Safire Reed. Mercedes has been wrestling longer than Safire has been alive and Safire is yet to record a win in EVE, so this may seem like an easy night for Mercedes, but it was anything but easy. Safire stood toe to toe with one of the most accomplished women’s wrestlers for 23 minutes, which was the longest match of Safire’s career. Mercedes was eventually able to pull out the victory after hitting an air raid crash, followed by several knees to the head, a kill shot, and finally forced Safire to tap out with the Brass City Sleeper. After the match Mercedes showed respect to the young, tough competitor, Safire.

The next EVE show will be Riot at the Yard on August 13. Then on August 26, they will present EVE x CHOCOPRO. Already announced for EVE x CHOCOPRO are the EVE champion, Miyu Yamashita, Mei Suruga, Chie Koishikawa and Session Moth Martina.

Results:

  • Rayne Leverkusen def. Amara Jayde
  • Rhio def. Regina Rosendahl
  • Skye Smitson def. Session Moth Martina
  • Alex Windsor def. Nightshade
  • Mercedes Martinez def. Safire Reed
