Last night at Deadlock Pro Wrestling, Grizzled Young Veterans made their first post-WWE appearance.
In a surprise appearance, the team of James Drake and Zack Gibson answered an open challenge set by the DPW Tag Team Champions Anthony Henry and JD Drake, The WorkHorsemen. The former NXT stars picked up the victory in the non-title match but earned themselves a title shot at a future date against the current champions.
Grizzled Young Veterans recently became free agents after their WWE contracts expired. On Saturday they tweeted a video saying “they were sick of the safe options” and stating that the Grizzled Young Veterans are back. They wasted little time in returning back to independent wrestling after spending 5 years in WWE.
