Lufisto has announced that she will be starting a new all women’s promotion called Women’s Wrestling Syndicate.

Lufisto states that she wants to provide a safe space for women in professional wrestling. There have been some issues recently stemming from all women’s promotions that have been run by men, but Lufisto assures us that this will truly be an all-women’s promotion, from the staff to the locker room. She states that they will announce their first event soon and that it will be in her hometown of Montreal.

Lufisto started wrestling in 1997 and has wrestled all across the globe, from IWS to CZW, Shimmer, ROH, AEW and so many more places. She won the IWA-MS Queen of the Death Matches in 2007, along with the Femmes Fatales tournament at Germany’s wXw promotion in 2019. She was inducted into the CZW Hall of Fame in 2019, and the Independent Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2022.

Lufisto also changed the history of wrestling when she took the Ontario Sports Commission to court and got a rule that banned intergender wrestling overturned. Lufisto says that her goal has always been to leave the wrestling industry better than it was and that she feels there is still much more that she can do.

I have watched wrestling all of my life, from WWF and NWA to ECW and then indie shows. I have been steadily going to independent wrestling shows since 2002.
