Impact World Champion and Wrestling Revolver Remix Champion Alex Shelley is unable to compete at tonight’s Revolver event.

Last month Shelley stated he suffered a two location calf strain in the gastroc muscle belly and the myotendinous junction in his IMPACT World Championship defense against Jonathan Gresham. He had to drop off of Revolver’s Los Angeles debut on November 16th. Wrestling Revolver tweeted, “We waited until the last minute, hoping he could get cleared, but sadly he wasn’t able to.”

Shelley was originally scheduled to take on Revolver World Champion Jake Crist in a Title vs Title match for today’s “Season Finale” event. He tweeted, “So, unfortunately, I don’t have full capacity to return to sport just yet. My apologies to all fans. Calf injuries are notoriously tricky to deal with, and I am week to week, but progress is going well. See you soon, Iowa.”

A replacement has been named for tonight’s match. Revolver World Champion Jake Crist will now take on “The Base God” Gringo Loco. The title defense will take place tonight, December 2nd at the Horizon Events Center in Clive, Iowa. The event will stream live at 9pm ET on FITE+.
