On Friday, January 12th, Chaotic Wrestling held its first big show of the new year, “Pandemonium.”

The show saw a lot of fun matches and moments, including an incredible main event match that saw Aaron Rourke defend his Chaotic Wrestling Heavyweight Championship against Richard Holliday, Bronson, Ricky Smokes, Brad Cashew, and Danny Miles in a Pandemonium match. The show also saw Paris Van Dale defend her Pan-Optic Championship against Gabby Forza and Ariel. As well as,  God’s Greatest Creations defend their Chaotic Wrestling Tag Team Championships against Waves and Curls, and so much more.

Trigga The OG vs. Shannon LeVangie

Winner: Shannon LeVangie

Kicking off the new year for Chaotic, we saw a great match between Shannon LeVangie and Trigga The OG. Since Trigga and Danny Miles split from The Unit, the lines have been drawn at Chaotic Wrestling. Shannon LeVangie took the side of JT Dunn in The Unit Civil War, while Trigga and Miles formed The Broken Unit with Chase Del Monte. LeVangie does a good job taking the fight to Trigga to start the match.

However, Trigga uses his power to gain the upper hand and control over this match. Every time LeVangie tried to fight back, it would be to no avail as Trigga stood two steps ahead of her. However, LeVangie was able to get back into the match using her unique offensive maneuvers. LeVangie hit a meteora from the top rope that Trigga kicked up immediately after in a cool moment in the match.

Trigga immediately landed a standing Spanish fly for just a two-count. Ultimately, it would be LeVangie who would walk away with the win after hitting a code red on Trigga. After the match, the two gave each other a fist bump as a sign of respect. Chaotic has booked The Unit vs. The Broken Unit perfectly. With so many layers to this story, I love the incorporation of LeVangie into play and you can go back and watch all of it play out on the Chaotic Wrestling Twitch Channel. Truly a special story in the world of independent wrestling.

Pan Optic Championship match: Paris Van Dale (c) vs. Gabby Forza vs. Ariel (w/ BMT)

Winner: AND STILL PAN OPTIC CHAMPION, Paris Van Dale

The first championship match of 2024 for Chaotic was Paris Van Dale defending her Pan-Optic Championship in a triple-threat match against two worthy challengers, Gabby Forza, and Ariel. Van Dale orders the audience in attendance to please rise and show her the respect that she’s owed, and she gets a lot of boos. Van Dale rolls out of the ring to start the match and sits down near the bellkeeper. Forza and Ariel start the match off and the fans are strongly behind Forza.

Forza squats Ariel much to the fans’ admiration, as she shows off her strength before throwing Ariel to the outside. Van Dale sneaks in and tries to attack Forza from behind but it doesn’t work. Ariel and Van Dale work together to take down the strongest competitor in the match, Gabby Forza. Van Dale does a good job showing her flexibility as she chokes out Forza with her foot against the turnbuckle, playing up to the fans watching.

Van Dale and Ariel can’t seem to stay on the same page though, and Forza fights back. Forza hits a Samoan drop and fallaway slam combo on both Van Dale and Ariel to show off her strength as fans chant “NEW CHAMP!” After some more great back-and-forth action, Forza lands a spear on Ariel but immediately gets thrown out by Van Dale, allowing Van Dale to steal the win and retain her title. After the match, Ariel and BMT jump Forza from behind but Bronson makes the save for his fiance and takes out BMT while Forza deals with Ariel.

Paris Van Dale is on an absolute roll right now and that’s something that’s not talked about enough. She’s one of the greatest Pan Optic Champions that Chaotic has ever seen. Ariel and Gabby Forza are both very talented, but they could not stop this incredible run by Van Dale, at least not yet.

Tyree Taylor vs. Landon Hale

Winner: Landon Hale

This was a match that I was truly looking forward to from the start of the night. Tyree Taylor and Landon Hale are two of the most talented and popular young guns in Chaotic. Landon Hale jumps Taylor during his entrance and wastes little time going after him. Hale does an incredible job showcasing his high-flying offense to keep down the big man. Hale lands a springboard cross body for just a two-count and measures Taylor for a big move.

However, Taylor catches Hale with a cutter over the top rope to gain control of the match. Taylor builds up his momentum by taking the fight to Hale’s bandaged-up mid-section. Hale uses his speed to try to get back into the match, but to no avail, as Taylor can keep him grounded. Taylor calls for his finishing move but is rolled up by Hale for the three count.

This was a very fun match. Hale and Taylor are two of the top young stars of Chaotic. Seeing them showcase their talents in a one-on-one setting was a sight to see, and the future for both men is very bright.

Chaotic Wrestling Tag Team Championship match: God’s Greatest Creations (c) vs. Waves and Curls

Winners: AND STILL CHAOTIC WRESTLING TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS, God’s Greatest Creations

God’s Greatest Creations, Deacon Kayos, and Brother Steven make their way down to the ring alongside Jariel Rivera. Waves and Curls make their return to Chaotic and get jumped by GGC during their entrance. Jaylen Brandyn kicks off the match for his team and is quickly able to overcome a two-on-one situation. Waves and Curls show a lot of their innovative offense early on taking out the champions and getting the fans hyped.

Waves and Curls use some party poppers on the champs on the outside to much of the fans’ cheers. However, God’s Greatest Creations turn it around and quickly gain back some of the momentum they lost. Deacon Kayos and Brother Steven do a good job of keeping Brandyn away from his corner, and his fresh partner, Traevon Jordan.

God’s Greatest Creations controls a good majority of the match over Jaylen Brandyn. However, Brandyn is finally able to fight back and tag in Traevon Jordan. Jordan is a big man and a ball of energy and quickly takes the fight to both members of GGC. Jordan calls for a chokeslam on Deacon Kayos, but it gets reversed. Ultimately, Brother Steven pins Jordan after a blind tag to retain the titles for GGC. God’s Greatest Creations is on one hell of a tag team championship run right now. It is truly very fun to watch.

New England Championship match: Che Long vs. Seabass Finn

Winner: AND STILL New England Champion, Che Long

The New England Champion, Che Long makes his way down to the ring coming back from intermission. Fans greet him with “YOU SUCK” and “SHUT THE HELL UP” chants. Long says 2023 was a great year for him, and that he cemented his name in the history books as the greatest New England Champion of all time. He says that tonight will be different because he single-handedly picked his opponent for tonight.

Seabass Finn makes his way down to the ring as it’s announced that the match will be a New England Championship match. The match starts with a collar-elbow tie-up between the two men. Finn uses some of his versatile offense to get the best of Long in the early going. Finn sends  Long to the outside and hits him with a tope suicida to keep momentum in his favor. However, Long quickly takes the leg from Finn out and gains momentum and control over the match.

Long maintains his target on the leg of Seabass, and keeps the fisherman grounded. Finn tries to regain some momentum in this match and takes the fight back to Long on one leg. Ultimately, Long locks in the calf-crusher which forces Finn to tap out. Che Long continues his great reign as he defeats a very game challenger in Seabass Finn.

The Unit (JT Dunn and Ace Romero) vs. Mane Event

Winners: The Unit (JT Dunn and Ace Romero)

The Mane Event, Midas Black and Jay Lyon, make their way down to the ring first, followed by The Unit. This was one of the most anticipated matches of the night beteween two of the top tag teams on the independent wrestling scene. The crowd was split right down the middle for both of these teams. Both Mane Event and The Unit are fan favorites, so there was no “heel” team during this match.

JT Dunn and Midas Black start the match for their respective teams. In a feeling out process, both men use their quick offense to try to take the other man down, to no avail. Ace Romero and Jay Lyon tag in and we get a test of strength between the two big men. The fans got behind this staredown with chants of “BIG BOY SEASON” and “LETS GO LYON” ringing through Massachusettes. Lyon tries to get to the big man, but to no avail as Romero over powers both members of Mane Event.

Black puts a hoop around Romero, allowing Lyon to take him out at the leg and lead to kicks from Mane Event to down the big man. Lyon goes for a moonsault on Dunn, but Dunn walks out of the way leading to Lyon crashing down to the ring. The Unit control a majority of the match, keeping Lyon away from Black, while targeting his ribs. Lyon tries to fight back to no avail, as Dunn lands a huge elbow for just a two count.

Lyon finally lands a big move on Romero from the middle rope to tag in Black. Dunn and Black make their way back into the ring hot, but Black gainst the upper hand quickly. Ultimately, JT Dunn lands a canadian destroyer followed by a huge elbow to pin Lyon. This match could very well have been match of the night. The Unit remain in charge of Unit Territory, and put on an absolutely amazing match with Mane Event.

Tony Navarro vs. Sean Vegan Keegan

Winner: Sean Vegan Keegan

Tony Navarro interrupts Rich Palladino prior to the main event match. Navarro goes to attack Palladino, but Sean Vegan Keegan makes his way down to the ring to make the save. Keegan lands a series of headbuts onto Navarro and hits a big pumphandle powerhouse and counts to three himself. Keegnan, alongside the fans, make Palladino ring the bell and announce him as the winner of an impromptu and very short match.

Pandemonium match for the Chaotic Wrestling Heavyweight Championship: Aaron Rourke (c) vs. Bronson vs. Danny Miles vs. Ricky Smokes vs. Richard Holliday vs. Mortar

Winner: AND STILL CHAOTIC WRESTLING HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, Aaron Rourke.

The Pandemonium match has been a staple in Chaotic Wrestling for quite some time now. This could be the biggest of all time though because it’s for the biggest prize in the sport, the Chaotic Heavyweight Championship. The rules are as follows, six wrestlers enter, #1 and #2 start it off for the first five minutes. From there on, each wrestler makes their way down to the ring in three minute intervals. Eliminations occur as a results of pinfall or submission at anytime during the match.

Aaron Rourke and Bronson start the match off. This is a Create A Pro showcase at it’s finest, as Rourke and Bronson both started off in Create A Pro Wrestling Academy in New York. Bronson offers a handshake to Rourke and he accepts and kisses Bronson’s hand. The match starts off with a collar-elbow lock up and a feeling out process betweent the two men. This is followed by a test of strength and a smack of Rourke onto Bronson’s behind.

This seemingly hurts Rourke’s hand more than Bronson though. Bronson takes down Rourke with a chop, and gains control in the early going of this match, targetting Rourkes mid-section. Danny Miles makes his way down to the ring and takes out both Rourke and Bronson. The Broken Unit member throws around both of the Create A Pro standouts, and is the fresh man in the fray now. However, his fire gets put out, as Rourke helps Miles motorboat Bronson. Miles takes out both men, ending the shenanigans.

Ricky Smokes makes his way down to the ring at #4. He takes out everyone, specifically going after his former friend, Aaron Rourke. Smokes targets Rourke in the corner, keeping the pressure on the champion. Smokes lands stomps on the champion, remaining in control of the match. The “Smokeshow” does a good job at isolating Rourke and keeping Miles and Bronson outside of the ring.

Richard Holliday makes his way down to the ring at #5. Holliday comes in fresh and goes after everyone. Rourke goes for a 450 on Holliday, but he is able to move out of the way. Holliday lands a big punch on Rourke. Mortar makes his way down to the ring as the #6 and final competitor of the match. He and Smokes have a staredown and Mortar quickly takes out Smokes.

Mortar cleans house of everyone he comes into contact with. Mortar hits a tope suicida out of all four sides of the ring. He then heads up to the top rope and takes out everyone with a swanton bomb at ringside. After some more great back-and-forth action, Mortar eliminates Richard Holliday via a roll-up for the first elimination of the match. Bronson and Mortar have a test of strength during the match, as each man tries to out-do the other one.

Bronson lands a drill-driver on Mortar to eliminate him. We are now down to four men, Bronson, Danny Miles, Ricky Smokes, and Aaron Rourke. Rourke lands a punt to the head of Bronson, and Smokes locks in the guillotine on Bronson to him out, and we are down to three. Miles and Smokes worked together to take out Rourke, but that partnership didn’t last.

Smokes would be the next to get eliminated, leaving Rourke and Miles as the final two men. After more great back-and-forth action, ultimately it would be Rourke who retained the top prize. JT Dunn made his way down to the ring indicating he wants a title shot, despite Chase Del Monte’s rules.
