Last night, Masha Slamovich competed in and won the Jersey J-Cup tournament presented by both Game Changer Wrestling and Jersey Championship Wrestling. She outlasted 19 other competitors to not only capture the Jersey J-Cup trophy but to become the new Jersey Championship Wrestling World Champion.
The tournament began on Friday February 9th, where Masha Slamovich competed against UK sensation Man Like Dereiss. Masha picked up the victory despite the great showing from Dereiss.
Masha’s journey continued the following day on Night Two of the J-Cup tournament, where she defeated Matt Makowski in the quarter finals, and Alec Price in the semis.
Masha met JCW World Champion Jordan Oliver in the finals. The champion had to defend the title throughout the tournament, and defeated all his former tag team partners in Griffin McCoy, Myron Reed and Nick Wayne.
After a long tournament and a near 20 minute battle between the two, Masha Slamovich was able to pick up the victory by referee stoppage, winning the 2024 Jersey J-Cup and becoming the new JCW World Champion. Masha becomes the first woman to win the Jersey J-Cup, first woman to hold the JCW World Championship, and the first wrestler to hold both the GCW and JCW World Championships.
