Prestige Wrestling’s next event will take place on Sunday, March 24th, 2024, from the Hawthorne Theatre in Portland, Oregon.

While this show is sandwiched between two Roseland events for Prestige, it has a lot of great matchups on it. That includes Jaiden vs Cruz 3, a two out of three falls match for the tag titles, and Alan Angels getting another shot at the Prestige World Championship.

Flamin’ Aces vs. Suavecitos vs. Midnight Heat

While not the current Prestige Tag Team Champions, the Midnight Heat can still stake a claim to being the best tag team in the company. An old-school, technically skilled team, the Heat have a date with the team of Dirty Breeze at Roseland 8 in April. The Aces and Suavecitos are both well rounded teams in their own right.  Both have appeared in Prestige before and have represented themselves very well. In the end, this one feels all about the Heat getting a victory on their way to Roseland 8.

Prediction: Midnight Heat

Elliot Tyler vs. Adrian Quest vs. Kris Brady vs. Lazarus

Quest has been gaining some steam out west having worked Prestige’s last show, A Moment of Violence. He also had a match against Chris Hero last month in West Coast Pro. In all honestly, I have yet to see much from the other three, but do know that Kris Brady is everybody’s favorite homeboy. I’m excited to see what these guys can deliver, but I’m going with Quest to get the victory.

Prediction: Adrian Quest

Matt Brannigan vs. Drexl

Brannigan has been making a name for himself on the west coast as of late, working several matches for DEFY Wrestling. He makes his Prestige debut here against mainstay Drexl. Drexl, who is winding down his full-time wrestling career, looks to be in a stage where he’s going to do his best to make his opponents look good. He did that with Amira back at Roseland 7, and I expect him to something similar here against Brannigan. Let’s go with Brannigan to get the win.

Prediction: Matt Brannigan

Gin Sevani vs. Amira

Amira has been riding a wave of momentum since her death match against Drexl at Roseland 7. I watched her match at DOA Pro Wrestling in early March and her crowd support was as good as I’ve ever seen it. Gin Sevani is a newcomer to Prestige. It will be interesting to see how the crowd takes to her against a fan favorite in Amira. Amira seems primed for even more success in the near future, and this feels like a good spot to keep her winning ways going.

Prediction: Amira

Daniel Makabe vs. Gregory Sharpe

Recently, Daniel Makabe announced that this will be his last year in pro wrestling. One of the better technical wrestlers on the independent scene, he has a date with Zack Sabre Jr. next month at Roseland 8. Before he gets there however, he must face a tough test in Gregory Sharpe.

Sharpe wrestled at the last Prestige show, A Moment of Violence. He put up a good fight in a losing effort against Jordan Cruz. While Sharpe is a very good athlete and will put in a strong performance again, I think Makabe will out-wrestle him with his technical skills on his way to facing Sabre Jr in April.

Prediction: Daniel Makabe

Last Man Standing Match: Jaiden vs. Jordan Cruz

The story of this feud is simple, but very effective. At the Alive! event in November of 2023, Jaiden scored an upset win over Jordan Cruz. This caused Cruz to snap and brutally attack Jaiden post-match. Fast forward to January in a rematch, Cruz absolutely decimated Jaiden defeating him in under 4 minutes. As Jaiden took time to recover and reflect on that match, he not only challenged Cruz to a rubber match, but with a Last Man Standing stipulation attached to it. Cruz not being one to back down, not only accepted, but also launched a surprise attack on Jaiden at a DOA Pro Wrestling show earlier this month.

In a match where there will be no rules, Cruz is sure to inflict a lot of pain and violence on Jaiden. That said, I think Jaiden is going to be prepared and come with a few surprises of his own to pull off a big win.

Prediction: Jaiden

Prestige Wrestling Tag Team Championships – Two out of Three Falls:  Sinner & Saint (c) vs. C4

In January, Sinner and Saint defeated C4 in a great match at the Roseland 7 event in Portland to win the Prestige Tag Titles for the first time. I don’t see any reason why this match won’t be even better than that one. As much as I enjoy tag team wrestling, I enjoy two out of three falls tag matches even more. I’d fully expect one of these falls to end via nefarious means in favor of the champions. Given that, and the fact that it just feels too soon to take the titles off Sinner & Saint, I’m going with the champs to retain.

Prediction: Sinner & Saint

Prestige Wrestling World Championship: Alex Shelley (c) vs. Alan Angels

Alan Angels is awesome. He’s a great wrestler in the ring, and great at generating heel heat on the microphone. In my opinion, he’s deserving of being the Prestige World Champion. But, I don’t think it happens here, mainly for two reasons. One, as of this writing, Alive II is not slated to stream live on IWTV. I feel that a major title change is something that Prestige is going to pull the trigger on during a live broadcast. Second, after the most recent A Moment of Violence show, I’m buying into the Mustafa Ali wave of popularity. If I am making a prediction of who the person is to beat Alex Shelley, it’s Ali.

Prediction: Alex Shelley

And that’s it. The top three matches should all be awesome, and there’s a lot of opportunity for great stuff on the undercard. Make sure to follow Prestige Wrestling and check out the show on IWTV once it gets uploaded!
