Brandon Kirk has released a statement via Twitter, stating that the DLC Match this Sunday at “The People vs GCW” will be his final match in professional wrestling.
Brandon had a near 13 year career and is leaving professional wrestling to focus on his future. Win or lose, his match at the Hammerstein Ballroom will be his final match. He’s set to compete in a Doors Ladders and Chairs Match between Matt Tremont, Drew Parker, John Wayne Murdoch, Matthew Justice, Dr Redacted, Rina Yamashita and Maki Itoh. The event will stream live this Sunday January 19th on TrillerTV+.
In 2024, Brandon put on amazing deathmatch performances in GCW against Shunma Katsumata, Drew Parker and Matt Tremont, before he dethroned the longest reigning Ultraviolent Champion Rina Yamashita. He is a former GCW Ultraviolent Champion, H2O Danny Havoc Hardcore Champion and ICW American Deathmatch World Champion; and has competed for promotions such as CZW, Beyond Wrestling, Limitless Wrestling, ETU, and others.

“January 19th 2025, in a ladder match for the GCW Ultraviolent Championship, at the Hammerstein Ballroom, Win or Lose, will be my final match.
I started this journey in Professional Wrestling almost 13 years ago. In that time I’ve been fortunate enough to able to travel the world, share the ring with some of the best wrestlers on the planet, meet some incredible people, and do things that I never thought would even be possible. I’ve given absolutely everything I had to a business that never owed me anything in return, but has awarded me more than I could have ever imagined.
At this point in time, I’m ready to move on and move forward, and focus on the things that are most important to me. My whole career it was always “wrestling over everything”, and somewhere along the way lost myself. I’m ready to focus on me, my wife, my family, my job, and my future.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to anyone who has ever taken a chance on me, believed in me, cheered for me, booed me, and supported me. I am forever grateful.
This Sunday won’t be about me. Nor would I ever want it to be. It’s about GCW. It’s about the unbelievable accomplishment of us going to the Hammerstein Ballroom again, against all odds, and all of the people that made it possible. I’m going to go out there and give it everything that I have, one last time, for all of you. Thank you, Brandon”
