Deadlock Pro Wrestling Announces Indefinite Hiatus Starting in 2026

The unfortunate news broke last night that the North Carolina based promotion, Deadlock Pro Wrestling will be taking an indefinite hiatus in 2026.

DPW announced their next event, their 4th Anniversary event in Cary, North Carolina on Friday, December 12th, will be the final DPW event in the United States for the foreseeable future. They plan on running one more event in Japan in 2026.

DPW’s 4th Anniversary event will have special pricing as all tickets to the event will be $1 (plus Eventbrite fees/tax) to allow anyone who has ever wanted to attend a DPW event the ability to do so. There will also be an option to donate on Eventbrite and DPW will also be collecting donations at the event. All the money from the gate and donations will be donated to a local North Carolina food bank, Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, just ahead of the holidays. Deadlock Pro will also match the gate and donations up to $10,000.

The social media post ended with a thank you from DPW.

It has been an absolute pleasure to produce DPW events these past 4 years. Thank you to all the fans, wrestlers, & everyone behind-the-scenes that made all this possible. We are extremely proud of what we have accomplished & we are excited to celebrate with a great anniversary event in December! Thank you for everything.

Deadlock Pro was founded in November 2021 by popular wrestling YouTubers Anthony Douglas, James Darnell, and John Blud. They become one of the top independent wrestling promotions in the US, running shows in North Carolina, New Jersey, Illinois, Texas, California, Nevada, and Japan. The reason for the hiatus wasn’t given at the moment.
