Josh Barnett No Longer Running Bloodsport Events For The Foreseeable Future

Josh Barnett has addressed the future of Bloodsport.

Following his victory over Yuji Nagata in the main event of Bloodsport XV in Las Vegas, Josh Barnett announced that the event would be the last Bloodsport event for the foreseeable future.

Bloodsport started in 2018 by Matt Riddle, but Barnett took over in 2019 once Riddle was signed to WWE. The first Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport took place in Jersey City, New Jersey, which was also the first year of GCW’s The Collective. The event was a hybrid of professional wrestling and mixed martial arts, and became a staple of WrestleMania week every year.

There is no word on if Bloodsport will continue with someone else hosting the event.
