We have a new GCW Ultraviolent Champion!
On the final show of The Collective, “The Immortal Clusterf*ck,” Matt Tremont defeated Otis Cogar to win the GCW Ultraviolent Championship for the second time. This ended Cogar’s 91-day reign.
Cogar first won the title back from Tremont in January. From there, he went on to defend it against the likes of Ciclope, Beastman, Reed Bentley, and Connor Claxton.
As for Tremont, if history is any indication, he may hold onto that title for a while. He first won the GCW Ultraviolent Champion back in January of last year when he won it in a Ladder match at Hammerstein. He held the title for 363 days, which is the second-longest reign in promotion history, behind Rina Yamashita’s reign of 791 days.
While Otis Cogar had a fun reign, the GCW Ultraviolent Championship remains in good hands with one of the best deathmatch wrestlers in the entire world holding it.
