Kay Lee Ray is officially back on the independent wrestling scene.
At Pro Wrestling EVE’s big 150th event, “History Makers Rule Breakers,” Kay Lee Ray made her return when she faced off with Molly Spartan. This was a match that was billed as Molly Spartan facing a “former WWE title winner, making her return to EVE.” This came about after Abi Cartwright came out as Abi Fyre to try to face off with Spartan for herself.
Kay Lee Ray returned with a vengeance and looked like she hadn’t missed a step. She was released from the WWE on April 24th and quickly made her intentions known. Alba Fyre was great, but Kay Lee Ray is where it’s at. She faced off with Spartan, one of EVE’s top women, and more than held her own. She defeated Spartan to make a statement in her return to the independent scene.
Kay Lee Ray returned to the place that it all started with her, becoming the EVE Champion in 2019. This was a thrilling independent wrestling homecoming for the UK independent wrestling women’s scene.
While it remains to be seen where she goes from here, the one thing we know for sure is that Kay Lee Ray is back and better than ever before. Welcome back to the indies, Kay Lee Ray!
