EVE’s 150 event proved to be very exciting and eventful. It saw title defenses, title changes, debuts and the return of an EVE icon.

We start the show with a match that could be a main event on any other show, as Session Moth Martina makes her first defense of the EVE Championship against Alexxis Falcon. Falcon attacks Martina before the bell rings, and goes for a very quick pinfall, but Martina will not let the title that she worked so hard for slip away that quickly. Falcon is determined to end this match early and seems even more mean and vicious than I have ever seen her. This was a very hard fought battle, but Session Moth is able to retain her title.

In the second match of the event, NyteSkye (Skye Smitson and Violet Nyte) take on the debuting Relentless All Stars (Rhiannon Jade and Buby Manitoba).
The All Stars have some very athletic double team maneuvers. Both teams are really working well as a team. EVE has really been getting themselves a great teg team division right now, with these two teams, the two teams fighting for the tag titles later in the show, Hyperactive returning from Japan soon, and others. NyteSkye loves to work outside of the rules and get the ref distracted and use illegal moves behind the ref’s back. NyteSkye hits a very impressive double team finisher for the win. The All Stars has a very impressive debut and I hope to see them back in EVE, but it looks like it is NyteSkye who have their eyes on a tag team championship match in the future.

Molly Spartan comes out for her open challenge, and it is answered by….”Abi Fyre?” Well, Abi comes out and Molly starts beating on her until the lights go out and Molly gets her real opponent, Kay Lee Ray, who has not been in EVE since she left for the WWE in 2019. Ray is a former EVE Champion, along with former NXT Women’s Champion, NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion, and WWE Tag Team Champion. She is an EVE Icon, but Molly will not step down. They have a very hard hitting match with Ray picking up the victory.

In the first half main event, we have LALLIE (Hollie Barrlow and Lana Austion) defend their EVE Tag Team Championship against French Art (Cory Zero and JGU). This is a rematch that everyone wanted from an incredible match in French Art’s debut. That was a non-title match and LALLIE got the victory, but French Art have had some experience together as a team since then and have grown a lot as a team.
LALLIE is a team that was thought to be a fluke champion, but has had seven title defenses and look better as a team each time they are in the ring together. The crowd is split, which shows how much they have taken to French Art, as LALLIE is typically a resounding crowd favorite. Hollie is very impressive, as she has constantly been improving since her return to wrestling. LALLIE hits an impressive double team move as Hollie hits a destroyer and Lana follows it up with a spear for a close pin.
After 20 minutes, everyone is going after each other. This is another incredible match from these four women. Cory Zero goes to use the title but misses and hits her partner. They regroup and Corey comes off the top for the win. Zero and JGU haven’t been in EVE or even been a tag team for very long, but have been impressive every time they have been in the ring and deserved these tites. LALLIE has nothing to be ashamed of, they had a great title reign and had a great battle with French Art.

Next, is a triple threat match between Emersyn Jayne, Lucy Sky and Melissa Fierce. Emersyn brings out a chair, as she is the hardcore wrestler of the three, but Sky is the first one to use it on Emersyn. Emersyn may be one of the best all around wrestlers, combining hardcore/deathmatch, athleticism and technical wrestling. On the other hand, Fierce is the quickest of the three and Sky is straight ahead violence and power. Emersyn gets a cut on her head and starts bleeding. Emersyn hits a crazy spinning DDT from the inside of the ring to the out, dropping Lucy on her head. Emersyn then brings Lucy in the ring and hits her with a Minge Driver for the win.

Rhio versus Aliss Ink is up next. Rhio starts out quick and violent. She does not let Aliss get any momentum going at all and if Aliss gets any offense, it just seems to make Rhio mad and she becomes more violent. For as much damage that Rhio has done to Ink, Ink keeps kicking out and staying in the match. They start exchanging strikes with under three minutes left, but Rhio has much more power on everything. Rhio gets the win with a package Piledriver with six seconds left in the match. This match showed how merciless Rhio is, but also showed how tough Ink is.

The main event is the EVE International Championship Kris Statlander against Miyu Yamashita. These are two wrestlers that have held titles in EVE and around the globe. Neither wrestler appears to have an advantage early on, but they are weakening each other. Miyu is very innovative and violent, but Statlander is so strong and quick. Statlander lands a 450, but Miyu kicks out of the pin attempt. As they hit the 15 min mark of the match, Statlander hits a Chaos Theory, but does not have enough energy to capitalize. As they exchange strikes, Miyu hits a skull kick out of no where for the win.
Kay Lee Ray comes out and says she’s next, which brings out Rhio, who says she’s next. Miyu decides to be matchmaker and says winner of Kay Lee Ray and Rhio gets Miyu.
I really enjoyed this show as every match was great. The match of the show for me was LALLIE vs French Art. LALLIE is so entertaining, and have become such a great tag team. Lana is an icon and Hollie is constantly surprising me with how good she is. French Art has been amazing everyone since they have debuted and is giving us something so unique and incredible. I am very excited to see what kind of title matches EVE has in store for them.

Miyu is an international star and I can’t wait to see her first defense against Kay Lee Ray or Rhio. The next EVE event will be “Beers, Brawls and Burlesque” on July 3. Announced for this event will be Kay Lee Ray against Rhio and Emersyn Jayne against AEW’s Skye Blue.
