Victory Pro Wrestling 06/13/2026 VPW Battle In Bay Shore 4 Recap, Review, & Exclusives

On Saturday, June 13th, Victory Pro Wrestling returned to ProGame Sports in Bay Shore, NY. The event was recorded to air later on the VPW YouTube channel.

The main event of the show saw Alvin Alvarez put his VPW Championship on the line against “Dr. Sleep” Anthony Gangone.

We also saw Amity LaVey battle Kalypto & The Unwilting Tatiana for the Top Contenders Spot for the VPW Women’s Championship, Security Inc. put their VPW Tag Team Championships on the line against Committed to Excellence, Rex Lawless put his VPW New York State Championship on the line against Brother Greatness, Azure and Steve Somerset do battle in singles action in a personal rivalry, and so much more. Check out the recap, review, and some exclusive comments from stars on the show.

El Terrifico def. Mikee G

The opening match of the night saw El Terrifico go one-on-one with Mikee G. This was a match that was originally supposed to see El Terrifico battle Sebastian Amor. But with Amor unable to be at the show, Mikee G stepped up. Mikee G has become someone who has taken a lot of New York by storm. He’s become somewhat of a mainstay with House of Glory, even competing at their most recent show in Chicago. However, despite being someone who has taken a lot of New York by storm, he is also not someone who is extremely liked by the fans.

El Terrifico was the firm and clear-cut fan favorite. This was a very fun match to kick off the event that saw El Terrifico getting his hand held high at the end of it. The action was very fast-paced the whole time, and El Terrifico was able to weather the storm known as Mikee G. El Terrifico looked fantastic, and even in a loss, Mikee G looks like a star. Look out for both of these names on the independent scene all across the great state of New York.

Bay Shore Scramble Match: Tommy Heartfelt def. Dylon Woodword, Shotgun Adams, Jackson Crowe, Just Joe, & ABBS

Following the opener, we saw a six-man scramble match featuring some more of New York’s up-and-coming stars. It’s always a treat getting to see ABBS on a show, as he is one of the most entertaining people around today. Just Joe and Jackson Crowe have been getting the chance to shine at Create A Pro and have a ton of potential in this world. Two of the most entertaining stars of the next generation of Create A Pro. We also saw Shotgun Adams, Dylon Woodword, and Tommy Heartfelt in this one. All three, I’m not very familiar with, but am now a newfound fan of. More of the young guns of the East Coast.

ABBS was the first one eliminated, as he fell to Just Joe. Following ABBS, Jackson Crowe eliminated Just Joe. After Just Joe ate the dust, Jackson Crowe got eliminated by a fresh Dylon Woodword. Tommy Heartfelt eliminated both Shotgun Adams and (lastly) Woodword to win the match. A very unique scramble set up with some people whom I was unfamiliar with, but was very impressed by, by the match’s conclusion.

Azure vs. Steve Somerset ends in double disqualification

In one of the most personal matches of the night, we saw the implosion of the Even Stevens. After turning on Somerset inside of a Steel Cage a few months back, Azure has been on a run of dominance wherever he shows up. However, Somerset made his return at the last VPW show, taking the fight to his former partner. Thus, we had this match set up, and spoiler alert, fans were not disappointed.

Azure and Somerset were amazing together as teammates, but worked even more amazingly together as opponents. Of course, we’ll always miss those sweater-vest-wearing balls of fun, but with that said, Azure’s work lately is truly unmatched. He is the most unsettling person to see in the ring, and he strikes fear wherever he ends up. The match was chaotic to the very end when the referee called for the bell because he was unable to control the match. We are far from over in this rivalry.

VPW New York State Championship: Rex Lawless (c) def. Brother Greatness to retain the VPW New York State Championship

Next up, we saw Rex Lawless go one-on-one with Brother Greatness for the VPW New York State Championship in one of the best matches of the night. The two men absolutely delivered on every front to each have the opportunity to call themselves the Victory Pro Wrestling New York State Champion. After the match, Rex Lawless delivered some comments on working with Brother Greatness.

“He definitely took me to my limit. I’ve known him for years; at this point, we’ve gone up and down the roads together to a bunch of different shows. He’s one of my closest friends in wrestling. I was really looking forward to it. He definitely, as I said, took me to my limit. I like to think we had another banger in the Rex Lawless Open Challenge. But for it to end like that, it’s just tough, man. It’s tough.”

This truly was one of Lawless toughest challenges to date. Brother Greatness, despite the massive size difference, is one of the true, most underrated wrestlers around today. The two battled for close to 15 minutes in a match that really pushed both competitors to their limits. In the end, Lawless delivered his tree trunk slam to put the match away and retain the title. Unfortunately for Lawless, his night didn’t have a happy ending.

VPW New York State Championship: David Graham def. Rex Lawless (c) to win the VPW New York State Championship

Following his 15-minute war with Brother Greatness, Lawless cut a promo talking about how he was going to be a fighting champion and take on anyone, at any time, in any place. Someone did take him up on that offer as he was attacked by a masked man with a steel chair. The masked man demanded a match before delivering one final cheap shot to put the match away and win the title. After the match, I had the chance to speak with Lawless on losing the VPW New York State Championship to a returning David Graham.

“That was shenanigans at its finest. I went a full 15 minutes with Brother Greatness. The toughest challenge I’ve done yet is for the New York State Open Challenge. Then, little David decides to come in to pick up the scraps. Like the fighting champion I was, I was willing to do another match, fair and square. Of course, he hit me with a chair like five times. I was still willing to do it, and he still needed a low blow after I was already drained. But that’s okay. We’re on to bigger and better things.”

“Maybe I’ll move on. Maybe I’ll go for the big title now. Regroup. Hit the gym. Train again. And just be ready for anything… You can always see me at Wrestling Open and Beyond Wrestling. Keep a lookout for their shows. Heavy Metal Parking Lot. June 20th. I’m also double-shooting. I’m coming back to Massapequa, Long Island, for Guardians Productions. They’re doing a show over there. You can check my page, Instagram, Twitter, and Twitter for all the details. All future VPW shows. VCW in Virginia on July 25th. I’m defending my Heavyweight Championship.”

The masked man was unveiled to be David Graham, who made his return from injury. He hoisted the title over his head, and not only is he the new Victory Pro Wrestling New York State Champion, but he is still also the King of New York in VPW. Graham, despite his size, is someone who always manages to get the job done, by hook or by crook. After the match, I had the chance to catch up with Graham.

“First of all, how the plan came to be, will not be answered. You see, when the planning, when you start diving deep into that, you start to understand the psychology. Maybe you get a step ahead of David Graham. No. No. You see, this took a long time to plan. I was sitting in the emergency room on the night my jaw broke, putting it all, pen to paper. However, the plan doesn’t matter because it came to fruition. And I am the New York State Champion. It feels good.”

“This moment means something special to me because I grew up as a little kid, watching the King of New York tournaments, watching the New York State Championship passed around like it didn’t mean a damn thing. This moment means everything to me. But what means more is every moment after. David Graham is going to take the New York State Championship, this crown, as the King of New York, and he’s going to show you why he’s New York Excellence personified.”

So, the conclusion of this whole segment ultimately saw Lawless drop the title. He was successful in a war against brother Greatness, but he couldn’t manage to get the job done twice due to the low road taken by David Graham. Graham is officially back in VPW following breaking his jaw, and he looks about as dangerous and as crazy as ever. The 2026 King of New York is the new Victory Pro Wrestling New York State Champion.

VPW Tag Team Championships: Committed To Excellence (Adam Kirkland & Skyler Mack) def. Security Inc. (Ronald Moses & Malcom Murray) (c) via DQ. Per stipulation, Committed To Excellence win the VPW Tag Team Championships.

Following that crazy sequence of events, we saw an intermission. After the intermission and time to regroup, after the VPW New York State Championship debacle. However, the action quickly picked up as Security Inc.’s Ronald Moses & Malcom Murray put their VPW Tag Team Championships on the line against one of VPW’s newest, hottest, and most dangerous teams, Committed To Excellence, Adam Kirkland & Skyler Mack.

The match saw an unusual rule commence, as a disqualification would result in a title change. Spoiler alert: that is exactly what happened. The match was competitive throughout. Kirkland hatched a clever idea; he threw a baton at Moses’ hand before collapsing to the mat. The referee turned around and saw this and immediately disqualified Moses. This was a fun ending, but something tells me we are far from over between these two teams.

VPW Women’s Championship Top Contenders Match: Amity LaVey def. The Unwilting Tatiana & Kalypto to become the Top Contender for the VPW Women’s Championship

In the final match before the main event, we saw a Top Contender’s match, which was originally supposed to see Kalypto battle The Unwilting Tatiana one-on-one. I had the chance to catch up with The Unwiliting Tatian before the show, and get some pre-match comments about a match that she thought was going to be a one-on-one with Kalypto.

“You know, I’ve been through a lot at VPW. I’ve had a lot of turmoil. A lot of betrayals. A lot of my own betrayals. I’m getting a little tired of everyone blaming me for their problems, so I think I’m just going to throw hands.”

She also spoke about the VPW Women’s Championship. “I never lost my opportunity at that championship. As a matter of fact, the fact that I have to fight for it again, even though I got the pin and that victory the last time I was here, doesn’t seem fair. But, we do what we’ve got to do around here.”

However, Amity LaVey, who was announced for the show, but nobody knew why, stormed the ring and immediately showed why. She took part in this match and not only took part in it, but won the whole thing. After the match, I had the chance to catch up with Amity LaVey on this and becoming the Top Contender for Tiphani Grady’s VPW Women’s Championship, and more.

“My plan worked all along by coming in and taking out the people who make all the decisions in this company. So, I mean, I could do the same thing next week, or I could just beat her fair and square, just like I said I was going to do. And that last little thing I said I was going to do at the end, don’t forget about that part either… That’s mine. That’s mine. That’s what I’m talking about.”

Now, Amity has a date with Tiphani Grady at Rising Stars of Women’s Wrestling on Saturday, June 27th, for the VPW Women’s Championship. “Finally. So, Tiphani, like I said before, everything I did tonight in your company, your crowd, your people, that you think support you. This is my home. So, you can move on out. If you’re not going to, then I’ll do exactly what I said, and I’ll just enjoy every bite of you.”

For Amity, she’s only really focused on her match at Rising Stars and doesn’t care much about anything else on the card. “I mean, I only really care about what I’m doing exactly. But, it is very, very cool that we get to share a locker room with some of the top talents, including the TNA Knockouts Women’s Champion.”

While Amity LaVey may have won this match, it certainly wasn’t the only story coming out. Kalypto appeared moments away from winning, but LaVey capitalized on an opening to steal the win for herself. After the match, and after LaVey won, Kalypto absolutely snapped. At first, Kalypto showed respect to The Unwilting Tatiana, before suddenly attacking her and forcing her to pass out to a rear-naked choke.

I absolutely loved this. Sorry Tatiana. But Kalypto has all the makings to be an absolutely monstrous heel. She’s scary, violent, sadistic, and above all else, awesome. Her Muay Thai background makes her super dangerous. She’s someone I will promote as much as I can, so get to know her name. She’s about to take off in this crazy world that we all love.

VPW Championship No Disqualification Match: Anthony Gangone def. Alvin Alvarez (c) to win the VPW Championship

The main event of tonight’s show saw Alvin Alvarez put his VPW Championship on the line against Dr. Sleep Anthony Gangone. This is a rivalry that has been brewing in VPW for quite some time. Earlier in the night, the owner of VPW, John Radioo, made the match official, banning Adam Cain from the building, ensuring we had a rightful winner. Before the match, I got to catch up with the champion about needing to defend his title.

“I’m not doing well right now because they’re forcing me to defend my VPW Championship, which you know, I know, anybody watching this video that watched the anniversary show, knows that I pinned Dr. Sleep, one, two, three, right in the middle of the ring. So, you tell me, why is he the number one at the front of the line? How is he at the front of the line? Now, I have to defend the title or lose the title. It’s BS. I shouldn’t even have to do it. These stupid Bay Shore fans don’t deserve me; they don’t deserve the championship to be defended tonight. That’s all I have to say.”

The contest quickly became an absolutely brutal fight that fans expected from the get-go. This was a fantastic, no-disqualification match. The two brawled throughout the ring and the ringside area. They used anything and everything they could find to hurt each other. After months of frustration, neither man gave the other an inch. This was very much a fun main event, which ended with a shocking moment where Gangone captured the VPW Championship to close out VPW 200 at the top of the company. After the match, I had the chance to catch up with the new VPW Champion, Anthony Gangone.

“You know, it’s funny because I first started here at VPW, my first match was against Alvin, and he beat me that night. Now, it comes full circle, and now I beat him for the biggest prize in VPW. Finally, Dr. Sleep is the champion,” Gangone says on winning the title. As for his goals in the future, he kept it short and sweet. “Just more pain and pleasure. You know how Dr. Sleep likes to do, and just kind of haunt the entire locker room. Yeah.”

While this may have been a VPW show, it didn’t stop Gangone from talking about his Devout tag team partner, Justin Vayne, turning on him at TiTan Championship Wrestling. “In due time, Justin, you will see, maybe not me, maybe someone way worse.”

This was a very strong main event to end a strong VPW show. The earlier matches on the card were fun, but the action really picked up around the midway point when Rex Lawless put his title on the line. From that point onwards, it was truly banger, after banger, after banger. We got some great moments, a couple of title changes, and even a couple of returns. The landscape of VPW truly changed at VPW 200. I’m very excited for the future of this promotion and happy to continue to be a part of the team there.
