No Holds Barred 8/1/2026 NHB Volume 100 Recap and Review

We are back at the Anchor Bar in Atlantic City for NHB 100! Danny comes out to greet us all, but comes with some bad news that Reed Bentley and Hoodfoot can not make it, but they will ROLL WITH THE PUNCHES and deliver.

We open up with the sounds of Lynard Skynyrd and our IWTV Independent Wrestling World Champion Mance Warner. The first surprise of the night is Bobby Beverly replacing Reed Bentley in this title match.

This is a battle between two wrestlers that were around for the early days of NHB, but have not competed in the chains for a while. It is a slugfest until Bev brings in a barbed wire bat. They fight to the outside. Mancer uses a megaphone that a fan had, like only Mancer can. Mance is dominating, but Bev hits him with a big suplex into a barbed wire board. Bobby then introduces light tubes into the match. This backfires, as Mancer choke slams Bev onto tubes and hits Bev with a running knee for the win. A great match to open this historic show.

Our next match up is Angel Metro against Lucky 13, who attacks her before the bell, like the jerk that he is. Angel cannot get too much offense going, other than a nice gusset bat shot to Lucky. Lucky is giving quite a bit of punishment, but we all know Angel does not give up easy. They fight to the balcony, and Lucky trys to end Angel, but she knocks him off the balcony through a door in the ring. Angel is gushing blood, but that only fires her up. Angel hits a swinging neck breaker into a box of barbed wire, but both of their shoulders are down, so the match is ruled a no contest.

The surprise match of the night is Jamesen Shook and Danny Demanto. Danny slices Shook up with the light tubes, then throws salt all over him. Shook takes out Danny’s knees, cuts him up with a gusset plate and squeezes a lemon on him. Nice elbow drop from Danny onto Shook who had light tubes on top of him. Shook comes back with a powerbomb through a can board, and a unloads light tubes on him, but Danny won’t stay down. Shook drives Danny into a Tokyo Tower, but Danny pops right back up and hits the Demanto Driver for the win. Really good match, with great usage of weapons and told a good story.

Dr. Redacted defends the American Death Match Championship against Dimitri Alexandrov, the Deathmatch Jesus. Alexandrov comes to the ring with a bat that has scissors sticking out of it. The doctor gives Dimitri a suplex followed by a cannonball. We have interesting usage of a ladder and an ironing board, along with the usual light tubes and doors. Redacted puts Dimitri on his own barbed wire cross and hits a light tube frog splash on him, but Dimitri will not stay down. They hit each other with everything they can find, then Dr. Redacted hits a lariat to the back of Dimitri for the win.

Cassanova Valentine, Kaplan, Lowlife Louie and JB Anderson are facing off in a four way match that should be like nothing else you have seen, ever. Kaplan hits everyone else with a water jug and gets everything going. Louie takes everyone out with his dildo and JB brings in his weapon of choice, the carpet strips. Big dive from Kaplan onto all other three opponents. Cass hits JB with a Text Message Breakup onto light tubes. Cass gets the win with a Muta lock on Louie, using Louie’s own dildo. This match had everything I expected it to have, it was crazy and insane in the best ways.

In a match between two of the most insane people who have ever been in a NHB ring, we have SHLAK and SLADE. They start the match with no brakes and the crowd loves it. SHLAK goes for an armbar outside of the ring, but Slade bites his way out of it. They go back in the ring and run into each other at full speed while they are both holding a bundle of tubes and this is great. SHLAK hits a leg drop on SLADE who is on two chairs, but SLADE just pops up. After some more incredible violence, SHLAK gets the win with a ref stoppage with a wrist lock. This match was amazing and I don’t think any of us thought that it would end with a technical wrestling hold.

In the main event we have two of the top wrestlers in the history of NHB, Eric Ryan and John Wayne Murdoch, going head to head in a last man standing match. We do not waste much time getting into the violence in this match with the usage of tubes and Eric getting dropped on a knife board. Murdoch gets dropped on some safety pins, which get stuck in his back. He tries to put Ryan away outside of the ring, by burying him in chairs, then hitting a piledriver on the stage. Eric hits Murdoch with a John Woo kick into a knife board, but also into the ref. Murdoch hits the other ref that comes to the ring in the groin, then hits Eric in the groin and destroys him with tubes. Murdoch tries to drop Eric on a chair with tubes on it, but Eric reverses it, destroys the chair and is able to keep Murdoch down for a ten count. Eric Ryan picks up the win in a ring that looks like a crime scene.

NHB has been one of my favorite promotions since it has started. It really helped bring wrestling fans through the pandemic and kept deathmatch wrestling alive. I don’t think deathmatch wrestling in America is anywhere near what it is without NHB and I hope that it continues for years to come.
