Opening Contest: Starboy Charlie vs. Nic Zander
Nic Zander’s hair is…impressive looking. Let’s go with that. They exchange slaps and Starboy Charlie gets a jumping kick to the chin. Monkey flip out of the corner sending Zander to the floor. Charlie tries for an Asai moonsault but Zander pulls him down and lands an enzuigiri. Kneedrop misses and Charlie gets a rana, but Zander rolls him up and hits a low cutter for two. Charlie avoids a backdrop and delivers a spinning heel kick, followed by a springboard dropkick. Standing corkscrew moonsault gets two. Zabder catches Charlie trying to do a flying headscissors and drops him on the top rope. Bounce Back Bomb (which looked really cool) hits for two. Charlie comes back with a Pele Kick, hits a dive out to the floor and gets a trap pin back inside to get the win. Solid opener. **¾
Match Two: Miko Alana vs. Lex Gonzalez
Lex Gonzalez slaps Miko Alana in the face and Alana takes her down, getting a rollup for two. Scoop slam and basement clothesline get another two count. Gonzalez runs the rope hitting a low dropkick and a meteora. Strikes in the corner by Gonzalez followed by a snap suplex. She bites Alana in the corner and hits a Codebreaker for two. Alana comes back with short clotheslines and a neckbreaker. Senton slash gets two. Gonzalez blocks a Tiger Driver and boots Alana in the corner. Dragon suplex by Gonzalez, but Alana comes back with a release German suplex. Tiger Driver follows to give Alana the victory. *½
Match Three: G Sharpe vs. Dustin Nguyen
They trade wristlocks and Dustin Nguyen goes all Karate Kid on G Sharpe with some chops. Sharpe pump kicks him to the floor and gets an uppercut back inside. Jumping clothesline gets two for Sharpe. Back suplex gets another two as Sharpe tries the cover three times. Nguyen comes back with some body shots and a hook kick. Tiger suplex by Nguyen gets two. Nguyen gives him the Hadouken but Sharpe avoids the attack and hits a Sliced Bread for two. Sharpe goes right into a crossface and quickly hits a pump kick. Standing short clothesline gets a two count. Sharpe gets frustrated and stomps away but a kick to the chest is blocked and Nguyen hits a dragonscrew. Typhoon Kick but Sharpe gets an enzuigiri, German suplex and The Sharpest Knife for the win. Good, I like this guy. **¼
Match Four: PrideStyle New Wave World Championship – Taniya (c) vs. Alan Angels
Taniya enters with a bubble gun that would make my 1-year-old son jealous. Quick shotgun dropkick from Alan Angels. Taniya gets a half-rana and tries a monkey flip, which Angels bocks only allowing the champion to get a top rope rana. Tope suicida out to the floor. Split legged moonsault misses, allowing Angels to take advantage. Textbook vertical suplex gets only one for Angels. Taniya comes back with a headscissors and boot to the face. German suplex gets two. Angels reverses and Irish whip, and hits a DVD for two. He looks for the Angels wins but gets countered into a rollup for two. Canadian Destroyer by Taniya, and she hits the split-legged moonsault this time to retain. **
Match Five: West Coast Golden Gate Championship (No DQ) – Andrew Cass (c) vs. Jiah Jewell vs. JT Thorne vs. Jayson Xavier
JT Thorne waylays the champion during introductions and we’re off. Andrew Cass comes back with a dropkick and a rana. Butterfly suplex connects but Jayson Xavier jumps in to break up the pin. Jiah Jewell looks for a Gator Roll but Xavier quickly runs away, so he stands off with Thorne. Thorne uses a fork to jab at the head of Jewell, sending him rolling out to the floor. Cass returns to take on the heels, but Thorne gets a cutter to cut him off. Thorne bites at the cut on Jewell, and gets a sitout powerbomb on Cass but only gets two. Jewell boots Thorne out to the floor and teams up with Cass for tandem pescado dives. Gator Dust on Xavier and a pump kick to Thorne. Pin attempt is broken up by Cass, who hits an enzuigiri and kneestrike to Jewell. Xavier gets a slam on Cass but receives a tornado DDT and powerbomb from Jewell for two. Thorne clocks Jewell but ends up on the receiving end of a Gator Roll. Cass dives onto them to bust that up and climbs to the top, but is stopped by Thorne. Fork stabbing to Cass this time and Thorne hits a suplex into a cutter to get the pin and win the title. ***
Match Six: Lazarus vs. Vinnie Massaro
Lazarus attacks quickly and mocks Vinnie Massaro. Massaro fires back with a single-leg dropkick and chops in the corner. Ten punches in the corner, but Lazarus slips out and gets a corner dropkick. He hammers Massaro down and dives off the second rope, but into a right hand from Massaro. Twisting suplex and elbowdrop get two. Lazarus boots Massaro and kind of gets a German suplex. He puts on a clutch hold but gets clotheslined down by Massaro. Exploder suplex into the corner but the Snoring Elbow misses and Lazarus hits a DDT. Clutch hold is applied again and Massaro taps out. Not great, Bob. *
Match Seven: PrideStyle World Championship – Johnnie Robbie (c) vs. Zara Zakher
Lightening quick clothesline from Johnnie Robbie and then head to the floor for some chops. Back in Zara Zakher gets a short rana and hammers away. Low dropkick by Zakher to the back of Robbie’s head gets two. She stomps the fingers of the champion and hits an enzuigiri, then a spinebuster for two. Powerbomb attempt is countered by Robbie with a rana and a release forward suplex for two. Komigoye on Zakher gets two, but Zakher gets a bridging German suplex for a two count. Code Red from Zakher gets two and a Shining Wizard gets another close two. Robbie tries some rapid fire pin attempts all for two, and hits Buzzball for two. TYK connects and Robbie retains the title. Best match on the show so far and could have gone longer. ***¼
Match Eight: Alpha Zo vs. Oceano Avery
Pushing and shoving at the start as we get a hockey fight until Oceano Avery rakes the eyes. Alpha Zo comes back with a kneedrop and corner chops. Avery gets a suplex out of corner for two and goes to work. Dragon suplex gets a two count. Zo escapes another suplex and hits a step-up kneestrike and spinning back elbow. Tilt-a-whirl slam by Zo gets two. German suplex by Zo, only to have Avery hit his own. Zo connects with a headbutt and both men collapse to the mat. They head out to the apron where Zo looks for a German suplex, but Avery blocks and hits a tombstone there. He rolls Zo back in and gets two. Avery gets a nice DVD for a close two count. Zo pops out of that, hits a Sidewinder and gets the pin. Another good match by Zo. ***
Main Event: West Coast Pro World Championship – Adam Priest (c) vs. Titus Alexander
Adam Priest does some stalling and works a headlock. Titus Alexander counters with a headscissor, but Priest hits a dropkick and chops away. Alexander gets his own dropkick and lands a big chop. Bodyslam and a stomp, but again Priest comes back with a northern lariat and steps on the face of Alexander. Camel Clutch is put on, followed by some forearms, but Alexander hulks up, getting a bodyslam and doublestomp for two. Priest gets a snap DDT for two. They battle on the apron where Priest trips the leg out from under the challenger, sending him down to the floor. Priest looks for a piledriver out there but gets back body dropped instead. Package backbreaker back instead gets two for Alexander. They trade forearms ending in a brainbuster by Alexander. Superkick, but Priest upends the challenger and drills a piledriver for two. Single-leg crab applied by the champion and Priest goes to work on the left leg. Titus fires up and delivers a sitout powerbomb for two. Running kneestrike gets a close two. Alexander heads to the top but gets caught by Priest who delivers an avalanche piledriver to get the win and retain the title. Roll Tide. ***½
Final Thoughts: Solid outing again from West Coast, as we always come to expect. The main event delivered, Robbie/Zakher was energetic and Alpha Zo delivers again in his match with Oceano Avery.
