We have a brand new GCW World Champion!
In the main event of “GCW Homecoming 2026, Part 1,” Joseph Sawyer captured the GCW World Championship from the now former champion, Atticus Cogar. The two went to a 25+ minute war in Sawyer’s first match inside of a GCW ring in nearly six years.
Atticus Cogar held the GCW World Championship for a total of 267 days. He first won it back from EFFY in a three-way match with Charles Mason at the American Dream Mall in New Jersey back in November of 2025. Now, in the very same state he won the title, he lost it 267 days later. Cogar knocked off the likes of Matt Tremont, 1 Called Manders, Priscilla Kelly, Bear Bronson, Allie Katch, Megan Bayne, Gringo Loco, SLADE, Hayabusa, Alec Price, Donovan Dijak, Emersyn Jayne, and plenty of other notable names in the world of professional wrestling.
GCW Homecoming Part 1 took place at The Showboat in Atlantic City, New Jersey and streamed live on TrillerTV+.
