A replacement for Mercedes Martinez has been found.
Kay Lee Ray has been announced to replace the injured Mercedes Martinez in wXw’s Femmes Fatales Tournament. This will be Kay Lee Ray’s first time competing inside a wXw ring since 2018. She’s set to face Stephanie Maze in the opening round of the tournament.
The replacement comes after Martinez announced that she has suffered a torn ACL and her in-ring wrestling career has come to an end.
Chihiro Hashimoto, Manami, Kanji, Madison Marley, Killer Kelly and Jane Nero will also be competing in the tournament. The winner of the single-elimination tournament will become the new wXw Women’s World Champion, a championship that has been inactive since 2023.
The entirety of the tournament will take place at wXw’s Pro-Wrestling Grand Prix 2026 on September 25–27 at Turbinenhalle Oberhausen in Germany. For tickets and info go to events.wXw-Wrestling.com.
