From the likes of Jersey Championship Wrestling, PROGRESS Wrestling, and Limitless Wrestling, these are three must-see matches from this past weekend for any fan of professional wrestling to go back and check out. These matches include a bout between two of the most agile and talented young guns around today, a contest between two women who are recently building themselves back up again on the indies and showing the world just how great they truly are, and a match of the year for Limitless Wrestling with one of the best payoffs in one of the best stories of the year. Check them all out below.
3. Alec Price vs. Dustin Waller from JCW’s “Breakdown”
Kicking off the list, we saw AEW’s Alec Price return to Jersey Championship Wrestling to face off against someone many fans would say is a lot like Price: Dustin Waller. This match was truly out of this world. This show was stacked, with an incredible main event between Charles Mason and Jordan Oliver, a great showing by Kylie Alexa against Rhett Titus, Marcus Mathers battling Leo Sparrow, and so much more. However, the show stealer of the night was ultimately the contest between Price & Waller. The chemistry between Price and Waller is unmatched; they instantly click every time they’re in the ring together in multi-man matches, so it was awesome getting to see them go one-on-one. Waller is having a breakout 2026, wrestling in over 100 matches with still three months left to go. The two men wrestled in a match that lasted over 10 minutes. This was a fantastic, quick-paced, and hard-hitting match. Alec Price is someone who doesn’t always get the flowers he deserves on television. The fans of the independents know exactly how good he is, but it’s fair to say that he hasn’t had that opportunity to compete on AEW the way he should. However, he and Jordan Oliver have been putting in great work on Ring of Honor. This is awesome, but it makes his match with MJF that much more confusing back in January. MJF said he and Jordan were “All Elite,” but lately we’ve only seen them on Ring of Honor. Nonetheless, they deserve all the opportunities they’ve been getting. They’re two of the most talented wrestlers around today. His opponent in this one, Waller, has arguably put together his best year yet. Before 2026, he was known as one half of Miracle Generation, one of the best tag teams the independent wrestling scene has ever seen. However, he has established himself as a major singles player this year. He is the top heel in Beyond Wrestling, and a sure-fire choice to win the Wrestling Open Championship after Bear Bronson finishes his run. Waller is someone who we’ve got to see shine and really come into his own this year. His confidence is at another level. Even looking back on Waller’s match with Marcus Mathers a week ago at Americanrana, he has been put in big situations and has looked amazing every single time. 2. Kay Lee Ray vs. Nikki Storm from PROGRESS Wrestling’s “The Odyssey Tour: Manchester”
Next on this list, we saw a match that was 18 years in the making. Kay Lee Ray met Nikki Storm in a match at the third night of PROGRESS Wrestling’s five-day “Odyssey Tour” in Manchester. We saw many, many great matches on this card. It started off with a bang with Donovan Dijak and Charles Crowley going to war. From there we saw the likes of Lio Rush in action, Tommy Tanner continue his hot streak against Mark Coffey, Sha Samuels battle Man Like DeReiss, Xelina make her debut at PROGRESS Wrestling against Myla Grace, Scott Oberman and Nathan Black team up against Simon Miller and Farraz from The Traitors, and so much more. However, the match that was head and shoulders against the rest was the one that saw two women wrestling with something to prove. Since their recent WWE releases, Kay Lee Ray and Nikki Storm have been on a warpath to show the independents exactly how good they are. No shade at their time in WWE, but this is something we sadly were not able to see much at the televised promotion. Oftentimes, they were booked in not the best light, or not really given that chance to put on an incredible match. Well, this match was a reminder to all the haters just how good they each are. Storm and Ray have known each other for 18 years. With Storm being with the WWE for the past decade, and Ray being with the company for the past seven, the independents have changed a lot. Now, Storm and Ray are each trying to show the world that just because they haven’t been around in quite some time, the UK independent wrestling scene is very much still their yard. Kay Lee Ray is back where she left off on Pro Wrestling EVE, and once again starting to take over the independent scene in the UK again, as for Storm, she’s showing with every performance that she is far more talented than people who have only watched her in WWE knew. She’s on her way to prove to everyone in the UK and all over the independent scene that this is also still her yard. The magic and chemistry these two have together is enough to earn them the two spot on this list. This was the first half main event for the Manchester show in PROGRESS, and those fans were treated to something extremely special. This whole show was unbelievably stacked, but this match is one that everyone must go out of their way to check out. 1. Gabby Forza vs. Aaron Rourke from Limitless Wrestling’s “11th Anniversary Weekend Night 2”
Coming in at number one on this list, saw Gabby Forza put her Limitless Wrestling World Championship on the line against “Evil Gay,” Aaron Rourke. This may have been the very best story that Limitless Wrestling has put on in 2026, and it has come to a head in the main event of their 11th Anniversary Weekend. This weekend was unbelievably great from Limitless Wrestling and all of those involved. Night 1 saw the likes of Aaron Rourke team up with Charles Mason against Gabby Forza and Ace Romero (Romero was jumped before the match by B3), Billie Starkz team up with Bustah & The Brain’s Alec Price & Jordan Oliver to face off with B3’s B3CCA, Anthony Vecchio, & Aaron Ortiz, Channing Thomas face off with Marcus Mathers, and Maggie Lee face off with Amira. Night 2 was equally as great as we saw the likes of Joseph Sawyer vs. Channing Thomas, Lee Moriarty vs. Joseph Alexander, Ace Romero & Anthony Greene face off with B3, Bruss Hamilton in action, and so much more. The best match of the entire weekend, though, had to be the story coming to a head between Forza and Rourke in the main event of Night 2 of the 11th Anniversary Weekend. Gabby Forza defeated Donovan Dijak back in August at the “Vacationland Cup 2026” event to become the new Limitless Wrestling World Champion. With this win, Forza put her name in the history books as she also became the very first female to hold that title, proving that the championship really is “Limitless.” She wasted little time in finding a challenger for her first defense, or should I say the challenger found her. In a backstage video, Rourke cashed in his Bissell Brothers contract by leaving it by Forza. He watched from the background as fans knew what we were about to witness. The chemistry these two have/had is unbelievable. Rourke turned on Forza earlier in the year, screwing her out of potentially winning the Limitless World Championship. He seemingly aligned with The Limit for one night in the Warzone match and had one goal in mind: stop Forza at any cost. So, these two were destined to do this dance one final time in Limitless Wrestling, and that’s exactly what they did. Forza and Rourke have a long history together, being best friends back in high school. However, it seems that Rourke forgot all about that as he turned on Forza. Was it jealousy? Was it something else? Who knows. One thing we know is Rourke was going to do whatever he could to keep Forza away from that title. Well, that plan didn’t work. Forza won the title that Rourke vied for, and Rourke was going to do anything he could to make sure her reign was short. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone watching, but this was an amazing payoff that had such an emotional ending between the childhood best friends.
