From the likes of Chaotic Wrestling, Game Changer Wrestling, House Of Glory, wXw, and Revolution Pro Wrestling, these are five must-see matches for any fan of professional wrestling to go back and check out. These matches include a HOSS fight between two of the biggest and baddest men in the Northeast, an intergender bout which stole the show, a Cruiserweight Championship match with a couple of the hottest stars around today, a wXw Unified World Wrestling Championship dream match, and two of the very best independent wrestlers from across the pond once again make magic. Check them all out below.

5. Tyree Taylor vs. Danny Miles from Chaotic Wrestling’s “OVERDRIVE”

Kicking off the list, we saw Tyree Taylor put his Chaotic Wrestling Heavyweight Championship on the line against Danny Miles in an Era Of Violence match. There were so many good things to like about this match. Tyree Taylor and Danny Miles tore the house down, showed up, and showed out in their main event match of “OVERDRIVE.” The show itself was great. We also saw the likes of The Breadwinners (Patrick Wheatman & Cash McGuiness) put their newly-won Chaotic Wrestling Tag Team Championships on the line for the first time against DJ Powers and Liviyah, Jose Zamora compete in singles action, an impromptu match between Milo Mirra and Seabass Finn, Shannon LeVangie put her Chaotic Wrestling Pan Optic Championship against Chase Del Monte, Brad Hollister put his Chaotic Wrestling New England Championship on the line against Just Jamari, and so much more. Tyree Taylor entered his main event Era of Violence match having held the Chaotic Wrestling Heavyweight Championship now for over 50 days, having defeated Armani Kayos for the title back in August. He has since knocked off the likes of Armani Kayos, Brian Johnson, and Donovan Dijak in a four-way match, Anthony Greene in a singles warfare, and Armani Kayos yet again at Summer Chaos in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Taylor has been on an absolute tare since returning from injury. He has wasted little time picking up where he left off, and has been one of my favorite big men to watch on the independent scene. Simply put, Taylor has been an ass kicker. The best thing about Taylor is his age. He has years to go, and hasn’t even hit his prime yet. That’s terrifying to think about, especially with how great and hard-hitting he already is. As far as his opponent in this one, Danny Miles is no slouch. Miles is another big dude in the Northeast. He is extremely hard-hitting, and while he may not be as tall as some of the other guys he goes up against, he hits harder than most. He is someone who I absolutely love watching it. This was a beautiful display of hard-hitting, strong style wrestling. If I were to book any match between these two, that’s exactly how it would have went. What a war. Go back and check this one out on the Chaotic Wrestling Twitch and YouTube channel(s).

4. Terry Yaki vs. Corinne Joy from GCW’s “The Score”

Coming up next on this list, we saw an intergender bout between two young and standout wrestlers, Terry Yaki and Corinne Joy. Normally, I don’t love intergender matches, mainly because it’s the same song and dance in many of them. However, this match was an outlier as Terry Yaki and Corinne Joy tore the roof off of the 20th Century Theater in Cincinnati, OH, for Game Changer Wrestling’s big event, “The Score.” GCW held two shows this weekend, and “The Score” was certainly the better of the two. We saw the likes of VNDL48 square off with Unsigned And Don’t Care in a trios war main event, Nick Gage and Slade team up to face off with the team of Bang & Matthews, Davey Bang and August Matthews, Joseph Sawyer put his GCW World Championship on the line in not one match, but two, Vipress go one-on-one with Marti Belle, Richard Holliday team up with the GCW World Tag Team Champions, KJ Orso & Sam Stackhouse, to face off with Ryan O’Neill and Bustah & The Brain in an absolute banger of a trios match, Marko Stunt compete with Shotzi Blackheart in singles action, Brick Savage face Isaiah Broner in a HOSS fight, and a scramble match to kick it all off. However, seeing Yaki and Joy go at it was truly one of the best matches I’ve seen in quite some time between two of the young guns on the scene today. It’s no secret how talented each of them are. Terry Yaki is going to make major waves in the world of professional wrestling. He’s got the skill, charisma, and above all else, the wrestling ability, to do some great things. Seeing him come into his own the past couple of years has been such a welcomed sight to see. Yaki is going to do huge things in this world, so certainly be on the lookout for him. A lot of the same can be said about Joy. Corinne Joy is one of the top women on the independent scene today. She, alongside Ravenna Vein, Kenzie Paige, and countless others, have brought back the women’s scene specifically in the Southeast, and has made it the hottest it may have ever been. The potential, talent, and ability that Joy has is truly remarkable, especially at her age. She’s going to be one of the best to ever do it when all is said and done, mark my words. 3. Lio Rush vs. Gringo Loco from House Of Glory’s “Windy City Warfare”

Coming in at number three on this list, we saw Lio Rush put his newly-won House Of Glory Cruiserweight Championship on the line against another one of the top high-flyers today, Gringo Loco. Man, oh man, I love matches like this. That’s why when I saw Lio Rush was set to defend his HOG Cruiserweight Championship against Gringo Loco in House Of Glory’s return to Chicago, IL, for its big event, “Windy City Warfare,” I was sat. This whole night was an absolute banger of a show. We saw a fantastic main event between Killer Kross and Charles Mason, Shotzi Blackheart put her House Of Glory Women’s Championship on the line against Nikki Storm, Motor City Machine Guns, Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley, make their return to House Of Glory to face off with two young upstarts, The Skywalkers, Raheem Royal & Jodi Aura, HOOK make his return to battle Aaron Rourke, a suicidal six-way scramble, and Amazing Red putting his House Of Glory Crown Jewel Championship on the line against Angel Jacquez to kick it all off. Lio Rush and Gringo Loco had exactly the match I was hoping they would, and then some. Similar to what I said above about Danny Miles and Tyree Taylor, this was exactly the type of match I’d like to see booked. Lio Rush first won the HOG Cruiserweight Championship back in August when he knocked off Daron Richardson. It’s no stranger how great Rush is. Now in his first title defense, he had a tall task in front of him as Gringo Loco was waiting in the wings. Rush has been on perhaps one of the best runs I’ve ever seen in professional wrestling. I am completely into this “Blackheart” character. The man is just money. He’s so good, so good. His character work is impeccable, and he has all the skill and ability to back it all up. He’s just on another level right now. As for his opponent, Gringo Loco, he remains one of the top luchadores in the United States today. He can do just about anything in that ring and every time I see him compete, always pulls out some sort of move to make my jaw drop. These two meshed together very well. Go back and check these two compete in a singles, high-flying, affair, and watch in awe. It’s available on the House Of Glory YouTube channel.

2. Ahura vs. Joey Janela from wXw’s “Extreme Wrestling Party”

This weekend also marked one of the biggest times of the year for wXw. Of course I’m talking about their big Konig Der Catcher, Femme Fatales, and now World Tag Team Championship tournament. While all three of these tournaments were simply great, no match stole the show like Ahura’s putting his wXw Unified World Wrestling Championship on the line against Joey Janela in an absolute banger of a match. This match took place on the non-tournament, “Extreme Wrestling Party” event. This was such a fun event. We saw the likes of Hyperactive vs. Planet Gojirah, Kuro facing off with Leedz Lewis, Kanji facing off with Katsuya Murashima, Steph De Lander put her wXw 24/7 Hardcore Championship on the line against Killer Kelly in a Falls Count Anywhere match, CSI put their wXw World Tag Team Championships on the line against Sinner And Saint, and Myron Reed face off with Zoltan. However, no match even came close to the absolute war we saw in the main event between Ahura and Joey Janela. Entering this match, Ahura has held the wXw Unified World Wrestling Championship for 45 days. He first defeated Elijah Blum for that title back in August at “Shortcut To The Top 2026.” He had a very busy weekend, as he was set to defend his title with Janela, and then the next day against Myron Reed. His match with Janela did him no favors on staying fresh, as he and Janela went to a 39-minute war. Yeah, this one was simply insane. Ahura is extremely talented and I always love seeing him compete in the ring, however often I am able too. Living in the United States, it’s much easier to see Joey Janela compete in the ring, and I don’t ever take that for granted. Janela may be one of the most polarizing figures in professional wrestling today. Love him or hate him, you cannot deny his talent. Having 25-40 minute matches just comes easy for him. The good thing too is they’re not boring, long, and drawn out matches. They keep you hooked, and that’s exactly what we saw in this match. Ahura and Janela complimented each other so well, as they are two very similar wrestlers. Both can go, and for long periods of time too. This was a 39-minute war. There’s no other way to put it. Janela and Ahura brought the best out of each other and then some. Go back and check this one out on the wXw YouTube channel.

1. Michael Oku vs. Luke Jacobs from RevPro’s “Live In Paris”

Entering at number one on this list, we once again saw Michael Oku face off with Luke Jacobs. The last time I saw this match was at PROGRESS Wrestling’s big Las Vegas event in 2025. That was my personal match of the year, so I knew this one would be good. Spoiler alert, it was and then some. This match took place at Revolution Pro Wrestling’s big event, “Live In Paris.” This event was absolutely stacked, and in conjunction with APC. The main event of the show saw Connor Mills put his newly-won Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship on the line against Kuro, Trew & Lacey put their APC Tag Team Championships on the line against C.P.F., Erin Ordo put his APC European Championship on the line against JJ Gale, Big Dawg Mecca face off with Jay Joshua, JGU face off with Aluna to find out who gets to challenge for the Undisputed British Women’s Championship next weekend against Kanji, Leon Cage face off with Maverick Mayhew, and a bonus match between Amedeo and Nate Prince. Luke Jacobs may be one of the best pure professional wrestlers around today, and it’s not close. He is simply on another level in that ring. Ironically, one of the only wrestlers who can match up with him is Oku, so it should be no secret that this match was as good as it was. In each and every match of Jacobs for the past year and a half now, we saw an absolute war, and this match was all it was hyped up to be and then some. Oku is another very talented wrestler from across the pond in his own right. It is only a matter of time before Oku and Jacobs are competing on the national stage. Oku took part in AEW’s entrance for Will Ospreay at All In, so you know they’re already watching him. As they should. It’s just a matter of time for both of these men. This one was a blast. This match delivered on every front and stood head and shoulders above the rest. Go back and check this one out, only on RevPro On Demand.
