Joseph Sawyer will not be at tonight’s Game Changer Wrestling event in Alaska.
GCW has announced a replacement for GCW World Champion Joseph Sawyer in tonight’s event in Alaska. Vipress will now be facing Atticus Cogar in Anchorage in a non-title match. Vipress was originally announced to face Brandon Steel, while Cogar was scheduled for a championship rematch against Sawyer.
Following the replacement, GCW owner Brett Lauderdale tweeted, “I had hoped that joseph sawyer would be in alaska tonite, at least to address the gcw fans, but it didn’t work out. As for what happens next, im hopeful this situation will be resolved in a way that makes everyone happy – most importantly the fans. The ball is now in Joe’s court.”
Two days ago, Sawyer tweeted that he will not be appearing at tonight’s Anchorage event. Since then, speculation about the future of the GCW World Championship has been made. Will we get any answers tonight?
GCW’s “The Last Frontier” is scheduled to stream live tonight at 11pm Eastern on TrillerTV.
