Overall: Everything Burns was an attempt to kick-start FIP once again. While it would be impossible to say if FIP has any legs as a promotion anymore, this was a decent show to introduce or reintroduce everyone to the product. More specifically, Everything Burns felt like an FIP show – the pacing of the show felt laid back and the gimmicky personalities were easy to spot. Although some matches suffered from miscommunication and sloppiness, there were definitely standouts in FIP that will provide a solid foundation. Guys like Nation, Taylor, Cruz, Fox, and Davis are more than capable of making FIP relevant again – it just depends on how often they can run shows. I cannot recommend this show based on match quality, but it was a fun watch and the main event is worth going out of your way to see.
