The Wrestling Observer reports that sources backstage are reporting the current average number of buys per TNA Wrestling pay-per-view event is approximately 17,000 in North America only. In comparison TNA was doing an approx of 26,500 North American buys in 2007.

These are not confirmed numbers as TNA does not release PPV buys.

Pro Wrestling Torch is reporting that TNA Wrestling officials are considering a younger focus for the company. Since Hogan and Bischoff joined the focus has been on “big name” veterans but that could all be about to change and starts such as AJ Styles, James Storm, Robert Roode and Kazarian could all be thrust into top babyface positions.

A source at TNA said “The key is the ratings,” which Dixie Carter panics over, especially when they dip. Carter is said to be okay when ratings dip one point as they did last week (from a 1.3 to a 1.2) but when they dip two more points could be when she puts into action the new younger focus.
