Prestige Wrestling’s next event will take place on Sunday, February 25th, 2024, emanating from The Vermont Hollywood in Los Angeles, California. It will stream live on IWTV starting at 10:00 PM EST (7:00 PM PST).

Coming off their last show, the super-hot Roseland 7, Prestige has set the full 8-match card well in advance for A Moment of Violence. With a mix of some Prestige regulars and some big-name independent wrestling stars, this card should be another entertaining one as Prestige looks to continue their positive momentum. Let’s get to a preview and some predictions for the show.

Jordan Cruz vs. Gregory Sharpe

At Roseland 7, Jordan Cruz looked dominant in a revenge victory over Jaiden, defeating him in under 4 minutes. I think that feud still has some juice to it, as it’s tied at 1-1 with Jaiden scoring an upset win in their first matchup. Sharpe has appeared in Prestige before, and is local to the California area. To me, this feels like a spot for Cruz to go over strong and continue looking like the beast he has in recent months. Ultimately I see Cruz coming out on top here and likely continuing his series with Jaiden in the near future.

Prediction:  Jordan Cruz

Prestige Tag Team Championships: Sinner and Saint (c) vs. West Coast Wrecking Crew

This match is brought to us by the power of the Twitter machine, as Prestige asked fans who they wanted to see Sinner and Saint have their first title defense against. The answer is the West Coast Wrecking Crew, consisting of Royce Isaacs and Jorel Nelson. WCWC were recently the West Coast Pro tag champs until December when they dropped the belts to Los Suavecitos (who we’ll get to later). Sinner and Saint meanwhile broke through at Roseland 7, winning the Prestige Tag Team Titles for the first time from C4. I expect a really good, hard-hitting match between these teams. Ultimately though, Sinner and Saint are just getting started on their reign as tag team champs, so I don’t see them dropping the titles here. Still would like to see WCWC around in Prestige more regardless.

Prediction: Sinner and Saint

Sandra Moone vs. Jordynne Grace

Grace is of course the current TNA Knockouts Champion, and made a recent memorable appearance in the Royal Rumble match. Moone has worked several Prestige shows, and others on the west coast. My exposure to Moone has only spanned over the last 6 months, but I’ve not seen her have a bad match yet. I’d really like to see Sandra get an upset win here to set up big things for her, but it just feels very unlikely that Grace will lose given that she’s a TNA champion and has a lot of momentum. I do expect a really good match however.

Prediction: Jordynne Grace

Mascara Dorada vs Rey Horus

Dorada, a youngster at only 22 years old, faces off against the veteran Lucha star in Horus. Chances are if you’ve been a follower of independent wrestling for a while, you’ve seen Horus in action, as he’s made a name for himself putting on great matches for over 15 years. Of course we can expect this match to have a lot of high flying, lucha style maneuvers that are sure to entertain the LA crowd. This one could go either way, but I say we go with the youngster in this one.

Prediction: Mascara Dorada

Sonico vs. Kushida

Yet another dream match of sorts as these two meet for the first time. I feel like this will be a much better matchup for Sonico than his last Prestige bout against Sami Callihan. Kushida’s history is well known, from his long successful run in New Japan, to his stint in NXT, to now being a part of TNA Wrestling. Sonico can work any style, and this should be another crowd-pleasing match. Let’s go with the local guy in this one to get a huge win.

Prediction: Sonico

Chris Sabin vs. Alan Angels

Ok, I have a theory for this one. Right now I think Angels is the biggest threat to Alex Shelley’s Prestige World Championship. These two were involved in the Fatal Four Way title match at the most recent Prestige show, Roseland 7. While I know that Sabin is the TNA X Division champion, I feel like Angels should get the win here to set him back up for another showdown with Shelley in the near future. The man deserves it.

Prediction: Alan Angels

Kevin Blackwood, Alex Shelley & Tiger Mask vs. Los Suavecitos

The legendary Tiger Mask makes his way to Prestige Wrestling. I can’t see any way this match isn’t a ton of fun. Suavecitos are another young tag team on the rise. Every time I’ve seen them they’ve been great heels and they really seem to be building a lot of momentum on the independent scene. I think they’ll be great heat generators here again, with the crowd firmly behind the babyface team. I’ve got to imagine this will be a feel-good match on the night with Tiger Mask, Blackwood and Shelley getting the win.

Prediction: Blackwood, Shelley & Tiger Mask

Mike Bailey vs. Mustafa Ali

This is an insane match that we wouldn’t have been able to see until Ali finally was able to part ways with WWE. Bailey is one of, if not the best independent wrestler in the world today. Ali is setting off on a set of independent dates that are selling out left and right. Ali is someone that everyone saw a lot of promise in during his time in WWE. When given the opportunity, he certainly showed that promise. Lots of people are very interested to see what he does on the indie scene with no restrictions, myself included. This one has a lot of hype behind it, and I’m betting it will live up to that and then some.

Prediction: Mustafa Ali

There we have it. The card is set for A Moment of Violence and I expect it to be another great one from Prestige Wrestling. Make sure to check it out on IWTV on February 25th!
