A rematch with Burger Weekly is more satisfying than a rematch between YAMATO and CIMA. Just sayin'.

Masaaki Mochizuki vs. Cyber Kong [Quarterfinal Match]
This being clipped makes me more sad than I can possibly explain. It’s joined in progress with Kong in control. He hits the Cyber Driver for 2. Later, Mochizuki blocks the Cyber Bomb but gets hit with an avalanche. He hits high kicks to regain control. He hits the Sankakugeri to the face for the win. Less than a minute of the over fifteen minute match was shown. The crowd was quiet during the portion of the match shown, so maybe it wasn’t so great.

After the match Mochizuki asks Kong to join the team. Kong accepts his offer and shakes Mochizuki’s hand.

CIMA © {BW}, Dragon Kid © {BW} & Ricochet © {BW} vs. Masato Yoshino, BxB Hulk & PAC [Open the Triangle Gate Championship Match]

Rating: ***½

After the match Kid gets on the microphone and runs down Mochizuki’s stable. He does the Blood Warrior Uuuu but the rest of the Warriors don’t do it with him. He tells them to get with it but again they let him do it on his own. Doi attacks Kid and all the Warriors stomp him. Gamma lets him know he’s out of the group. Horiguchi goes up to Metal Warrior and takes off his mask, revealing Takuya Tomakomai as Kid’s replacement. He’s got a mohawk and facepaint and gloves that go up to the elbow. His name w

ill be Tomahawk TT from now on. TT chops Kid in the corner. His gloves blunt the sound, and given that chops are his signature thing I’d say they made a wardrobe mistake with him. CIMA then calls out Kong, saying he’s a Blood Warrior too. Kong hits Kid with the Pineapple Bomber. Mochizuki and his team rush the ring. The Blood Warriors leave. Kid wakes up and gives Yoshino a hug. He says he was wrong and runs down the Blood Warriors. He asks Mochizuki to join their team. Mochizuki accepts.

Saito attacks Hulk before the match. He hits a German suplex. Hulk hits an enziguiri. Saito hits a hurricanrana but Hulk rolls through for 2. Saito shoves Hulk off the apron. He and Kid get into it a bit. He blocks a spin kick but eats a dropkick. Hulk hits an axe kick. He sweeps the leg and hits the BxB Star Press for 2. He hits a powerslam for 2. Saito hits an overhead suplex into the corner. Hulk hits the Mouse. Saito hits a German suplex. Hulk hits the nameless slam for 2. He hits the EVO for 2. Saito blocks the EVOP and hits a dragon suplex. Hulk hits a big boot. He hits an axe kick to the head. He hits the Avalanche EVO for 2. Saito ducks the First Flash and hits a dragon suplex for 2. Hulk blocks the Premium Bridge and hits a roundhouse kick. He hits the H Thunder for 2. He hits another axe kick and the First Flash for the win at 7:15 shown of 11:26. Not much flow to this one, but Hulk was left looking strong, which would be important later.

YAMATO vs. CIMA {BW} [Quarterfinal Match]
Yes, YES, YES!!! They trade shoulder tackles until YAMATO goes down. YAMATO catches CIMA’s chest kick and puts on the heel hook. CIMA thinks about tapping immediately but gets to the ropes. CIMA goes to the floor but YAMATO gives chase and attacks the leg. Back in the ring YAMATO misses a dropkick and CIMA kicks his face. CIMA elbows YAMATO on the apron and hits a boot to the side of the head. He chokes him with an umbrella. He hits a head kick for 2. He avoids the punt and an enziguiri. YAMATO stomps on his foot and hits an enziguiri. He hits a dragon screw. CIMA avoids the Galleria and puts on a dragon sleeper. YAMATO gets to the ropes. CIMA hits elbows to the back of the head. He hits the Tokarev. He hits the Schwein for 2. YAMATO unloads with elbows. CIMA hits a superkick. YAMATO puts on the sleeper hold. CIMA hits a low blow and the Nakayubi. He puts on a double underhook. YAMATO won’t go down so CIMA hits another Nakayubi and the Meteora for the win at 10:43 shown of 18:53. The real crime is that half of this match was clipped. YAMATO pretty much got taken to school here, I guess paying CIMA back for making him a legitimate main eventer in early 2010. I’m very much looking forward to seeing the rubber match they had DGUSA now, as this was very entertaining considering the time it got.

Don Fujii vs. KAGETORA sees KAGETORA nearly pin the Don with the Kagenui. Fujii hits the Thesz Press to get the win in the end, however. After the match Mochizuki asks both of them to join up with him. Fujii surprisingly declines, saying he wants to focus on helping out the new generation from the Dragon Gate Dojo. He says that once Mochizuki is done fighting the Blood Warriors they can reform their tag team.
