Welcome back to the 2nd edition of the brand new INDYSpotlight! Today we feature another young Indy talent from South Carolina. A lifetime wrestling fan inspired by Dean Malenko and other Cruiserweight greats, gives us his favorite opponents(and ones he loves to hate) as well as his story from starting at the Old WCW PowerPlant to his current career  this week the spotlight shines on…..

Hometown:  Aiken, SC
Height:  5’9″
Weight:  185 Lbs
Years Pro:  3

Wrestling Influences:  “Mr Perfect” Curt Hennig, Ricky Steamboat, The Great Muta

Favorite Opponent(s):  “Seth Delay, and even though the guy is a jerk
I’ll throw Anthony Henry in there

Personal Favorite Matches: “The tag match in Union for Trans-South where myself and Anthony Henry took on George South and Baron Bullard. It was a great learning experience and a lot of fun. And anytime I faced Rick Michaels and Sal Rinnauro, it was always a learning experience. Actually, anytime you can learn something  mid-match is a great thing.

Favorite Matches(Not involved in): “Shawn Michaels vs Shelton Benjamin, Kurt Angle vs Marty Jannetty, Dean Malenko vs any Cruiserweight in WCW, early to mid 90’s Super Junior stuff like the Super J Cup and the Best of the Super Juniors tournaments, and anything mid to late 90’s All Japan.”

Promotions Worked: Pro Wrestling EVO, NWA Anarchy, Trans-South Wrestling, APW Royston, APW Chester, APEX Wrestling

Titles Held: APW Southern States, APW North Georgia, and AWA Southern States

Trained By: “Mr. Hughes or Big Cat Curtis Hughes at WWA4 in Atlanta, the old WCW Power Plant. I was lucky enough to have several guest trainers stop by and help me out. Guys like Rocky King, Glacier and Mark Jindrak. I’ve also participated in several training seminars with guys like Terry Taylor and Mike Quackenbush.”

How did you get started in Wrestling? “I’ve been a fan since before I can remember. It’s the only thing I’ve ever wanted to do. So at the encouragement from an ex-girlfriend I decided to sign up at WWA4 and make the 5 hour round trip to Atlanta five days a week. I did that for a year while accepting bookings along the way and trying to get my name our there and build up a reputation as a solid guy.”

Year In Review: It’s beginning to be a breakout year for Kameron Kade who has claimed several titles along with recognition from other promotions in the latter part of 2012. The youngster, defeated David Coleman for the AWA Southern States title  on July 6th before competing in an successful  Open tryout with Pro Wrestling EVO on August 25th.  Kameron impressed EVO Officials & talent earning a spot in a 6 man match on their Ippv ‘This is Wresting’ which you can see at www.evoondemand.com Kade then defeated Seth Delay for APW North Georgia title on September 7th. Following these impressive outings,  Kade was given the opportunity to compete in the inaugural Augusta Wrestling Association Heavyweight Title  tournament being eliminated by NWA Anarchy mainstay Anthony Henry. Kameron Kade is starting to travel the road all Indy wrestlers  travel to get their name out there & just try to have consistently great matches. Look for more from Kameron Kade in 2012 and for many years to come.
