AAPW is a locally owned and operated professional wrestling company that will begin its fifth year of operation this October. Local talent includes “The Main Attraction” K.C. Jackson, Heath Hatton, Bull Bronson, Mike Masters, Playboy Paul Rose, and Edmund “Livewire” McGuire.

THIS is the episode of Collision I personally have been waiting for. In this episode Brandon Espinosa faces off against Christian Rose, with the winner picking the stipulation for their tag title matches at Zero Hour on Oct 20th. Edmund “Livewire” McGuire and Mike Masters sign their title bout contract for Zero Hour. In one of the biggest matches in AAPW history, Heath Hatton gets his shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Title when he takes on “Scrap Iron” Adam Pierce. To quote one of the greatest announcers in wrestling history… “THIS is going to be one for the record books”…

Alex Castle

Vs.

Edmund “Livewire” McGuire

Recap: Alex Castle takes off right from the bell rushing Livewire, who easily steps out of the way and goes on the attack. After a big splash in the corner from Livewire, Castle rolls out of the ring, but is quickly followed by McGuire. The 2 men begin going back and forth on the floor with Castle in control. Livewire is eventually able to get back in the ring, and is able to take control as Castle tries to re-enter the ring. Castle regains control after a hard strike to the head and gets Livewire on the mat keeping him grounded. The 2 go back and forth with strike after strike before Livewire gets 2 quick 2 counts on Castle. Castle regains control and tries to go to the top rope, but is quickly taken down when McGuire stumbles against the ropes as he attempts to regain his feet. After a top rope hurricanrana to Castle, Livewire hits his Superkick for the win.

Winner by pinfall: Edmund “Livewire” McGuire

Review: This was an excellent match, and shows why Livewire is always a fan favorite. After Castle being in control much of the match McGuire was still able to pull it out and get the win. He deserves another shot at the title in my opinion. Maybe he should get masters in a steel cage with no disqualification and see who the best wrestler REALLY is…..

Next is Heath Hatton talking about his match later on in the show with “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce for the NWA World Heavyweight title…

After a break is the next part in the series of interviews with “Serial Thriller” Shane Rich….

Christian Rose

Vs.

Brandon Espinosa

Recap: This match takes off the second Espinosa comes through the curtain. Espinosa immediately hits the ring and spears Rose and takes control, until Zakk Sawyer grabs his ankle and distracts him. At this point Ace Hawkins comes out of no-where and blind sides Sawyer fighting him back to the locker room area. While Rose has the referee distracted Cage slips into the ring and hits Espy with a RKO/Diamond Cutter followed by a kick from Rose. The 2 men begin battling back and forth at this point trading strikes, as Matt Cage sits at the announce table talking trash. Rose gets several 2 counts on Espinosa while keeping control of the match. Espinosa attempts a come-back, but is quickly stopped by the double stomp from Rose. The men trade strikes back and forth with each man’s frustration beginning to show. Espinosa is able to get control and begins hitting Rose with strike after strike, before Rose is able to stop the momentum once again. Espinosa hits a flying cross body block from the top rope, but is only able to get a 2 count. Rose regains control once again and keeps Espinosa in the corner wearing him down. Rose hits a super plex from the middle rope, but as he goes for the pinfall Espinosa is able to trap him in a small package for the win. According to the stipulation of the match Espinosa and Hawkins gets to pick the stipulation for the match at Zero Hour on Oct 20. Espinosa says that since Cage and Rose like to use the belts for weapons, they are taking the weapons away and suspending them over the ring in a ladder match….

Winner by pinfall: Brandon Espinosa

Recap: This was an awesome match between Espinosa and Rose. Both men gave it all they had, and went at one another with move after move, strike after strike… In my opinion, AAPW has some of the best tag teams in wrestling right now…

We begin to see The Great Cheyenne, but she is quickly attacked and left lying by a male and female pair…..

After a break we see Adam Pearce talking about his match against Heath Hatton. Scrap Iron is considered by many to be one of the greatest NWA champions in recent history. Pearce talks about his respect and admiration for Hatton, but that will only get him so far in their match…

We then go to the contract signing between “The Masterpiece” Mike Masters and Edmund “Livewire” McGuire for their steel Cage match at “Zero Hour”. Livewire is called out first and makes his way to the ring shaking hands with Chris Hagstrom. Next out is Mike Masters, who is hated almost as much as Livewire is loved. Masters walks out with a chair in his hand and throws it into the ring. Masters eventually gets into the ring and the 2 men begin arguing back and forth about who is best. The 2 sign the contract and things quickly break down into a brawl leaving Hagstrom out cold in the middle of the ring….

Heath Hatton

Vs.

“Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce

NWA Heavyweight Title Match

Recap: Hatton is out first to the delight and adulation of the fans. Scrap Iron comes out next and is immediately booed and jeered by the fans. The 2 men begin playing to the crowd with Hatton getting the louder pop, much to the chagrin of Pearce. The 2 men finally lock up with Pearce taking Hatton down into a front face lock. Hatton quickly turns it around into a hammer lock, which Pearce quickly claims Hatton pulled his “hair” to get into. The two lock up again with Pearce getting Hatton into a wrist lock, which Hatton turns around after several minutes. Hatton is able to get Scrap Iron down into an arm bar, and begins to work on the arm of Pearce. The two eventually move to the ring with Pearce on top before breaking the hold. Pearce attempts to go after Hatton in the corner, but Hatton ducks the shot and strikes back at Pearce. This throws Pearce off his game, and he quickly exits the ring to regain his composure. Pearce lures Hatton into a test of strength, which he quickly uses to try and gain control of the match. Hatton turns it around though and hits several strikes before sending Pearce out of the ring with a drop kick. Pearce once again attempts to regain his composure by leaving the ring and heading to the back, followed close behind by Hatton. Hatton drags Pearce back out to the ring and sends him face first into the ring apron. The two make it back into the ring and Pearce quickly takes over with a spine buster. At this point Pearce is firmly in control and begins working on Hatton with chop after chop. Pearce sends Hatton to the floor and follows quickly with a boot to the head as he drops from the ring apron. Scrap Iron continues working on Hatton sending him into the guard rail. After several minutes the two make it back into the ring where Hatton reverses what appears to be a clothes line attempt into a swinging neck breaker, leaving both men lying in the middle of the ring. The 2 reach their feet at the same time, and Hatton is bale to gain control with several lariat cloths lines, a flying axe handle, and finally a clothes line over the top rope. Hatton sends Pearce back into the ring and makes his way to the top rope, hitting Pearce with a missile drop kick. Hatton hits Pearce with a face buster and goes for the pin, but the ref is distracted by J Wellington Beauregard. Gaylord Stevens hits the ring and goes after Hatton, but Hatton is able to take the umbrella and hit Stevens with it. Pearce is able to hit his finisher in Hatton and get the pin for the win. Hatton is pissed at this point and challenges Stevens and Axe Allwardt, who has come out at this point and is embracing Pearce, to a tag team match at Zero Hour. J. Wellington Beauregard accepts for the 2 men. Hatton takes the mic back and announces his tag team partner…… Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana!!!

Winner by pinfall and still NWA Heavyweight Champion: “Scrap Iron Adam Pearce

Review: This was the match of Heath Hatton’s career. He stood toe to toe with one of the greatest NWA Champions in recent history and almost got the win several times. I would love to see this match happen again sometime with a no interference stipulation. Pearce is always great to watch and Hatton has come a long way in the few short years he has been in the business. He knew what he wanted and went after it….

This was a great episode of Collision. The matches for Zero Hour are shaping up nicely and things are getting heated. I can’t wait to see what happens between Masters and McGuire at this point…
