After two shows in October, Glory Pro is back at it on November 11th, from their new home of the Collins Club, in Collinsville, IL. This is a really good looking card, and all kids 10 or under get in FOR FREE! I’ll have a review for Unsanctioned up soon, but in the meantime, Fear of the Dark takes place this weekend.

Alpha Omega vs. #NoNewFriends

The team of Danny Adams and Mike Outlaw recently lost their chance at being #1 contender’s for the Tag Titles, but they followed it up by facing the nWo at Unsanctioned. Alpha Omega still haven’t had their breakout match, but if they’re given the chance to shine here, it’ll look good, and put Alpha Omega in the tag title picture. #NNF never disappoint, and you’re always guaranteed a fun match, and we’ve seen glimpses of great stuff from Alpha Omega, so I expect this to be a fun tag match, that could either be used to give #NNF a rebound win, or position Alpha Omega as future tag title challengers. I’ll take the first option.

Prediction: #NoNewFriends

Kobe Durst vs. Tyler Colton

Kobe Durst is just 22 years old, but already has been in the business for 5 years. He was apart of the Gateway to Glory tournament, but was eliminated in the first round. His only other appearance was in a 7 way match at Strike First, but now it’s time for Durst to impress in a singles match. His opponent, Tyler Colton, is the current Resurgence Champion (which seems to have died?), and will be making his official debut in Glory Pro. I haven’t seen much of Colton, but he’s had about double the in-ring experience than Durst, and should probably get the win here, unless Durst will be used more regularly moving forward. Don’t sleep on this one!

Prediction: Tyler Colton

Clayton Gainz vs. Brian Pillman Jr. vs. Kevin Ku vs. AJ Gray

There’s tons of amazing singles matches on this card, but this four way has tons of potential to steal the show. Back at Strike First, I was super impressed with Clayton Gainz and AJ Gray. Both showed tons of potential, and have the chance to prove that here. Brian Pillman Jr. has been quite the character to follow in MLW, and he’s been getting more and more bookings as of late. I was first exposed to Kevin Ku by Dojo Pro, and he’s got a great story, and was really solid on that series, leading me to believe he’ll kill it here. All four are great, and the winner is a toss up, but I’ll stick with a Glory Pro regular, that being AJ Gray. I could easily see anyone walking out with the win, which makes this match so awesome.

Prediction: AJ Gray

Paco vs. Jake Something

Paco is one of the most over acts you’ll find in the midwest, whether it be in Glory Pro or AAW, the crowd just loves this dude. He’s such a great babyface, and his in-ring work has grown tremendously. Jake Something is the longest reigning Crown of Glory Champion, but hasn’t done much since losing the title to Curt Stallion back at Strike First. This is a really fun mach, with two great babyfaces, and could set up a Jake Something heel turn? Glory Pro is filled with good guys, and outside of Stallion’s Stable, there isn’t much depth to the heel division. Paco just got a huge win over Eddie Kingston, and while a win here would get him into the title picture, I see Something winning, and maybe a heel turn is in his future.

Prediction: Jake Something

Airwolf vs. Zachary Wentz

Airwolf won the Gateway to Glory Tournament, and while I was harsh on him at the time, he’s grown into a much better performer, and I find myself to always enjoy his matches. This one is all about Zachary Wentz, who makes his Glory Pro debut here. Wentz is a great talent, and his tag work with Dezmond Xavier is exceptional. I’d expect an absolutely great high flying sprint here, with Airwolf looking good, but Wentz picking up the win in his debut.

Prediction: Zachary Wentz

Warhorse vs. Puma King

Warhorse is coming off a Crown of Glory Championship loss to Curt Stallion at Horsepower, but looks to rebound here in a big way. Puma King is getting his name out there more on the US indy scene, and this one should be amazing. Warhorse is over huge, and really found his stride with the series of matches against Gary Jay. Now, Warhorse faces arguably his biggest challenge to date, but I don’t think he’ll have enough in the tank to beat Puma King, who I hope continues to be booked on these Glory Pro shows moving forward. Expect this one to be great.

Prediction: Puma King

KLD vs. Brody King

KLD is pulling a Michael Elgin, putting himself in all of the high caliber matches, but I absolutely love it. KLD recently faced PCO and the nWo, now moves onto one of the hottest names on the indies, that being Brody King. I absolutely love Brody King, and this should be phenomenal. KLD works extremely well with other big men, so expect an all out hoss fight, and for once I see KLD getting the win. Brody King is welcome back anytime, this dude could have so many great matches in the promotion.

Prediction: KLD

United Glory Championships: Myron Reed and Stephen Wolf (c) vs. The Besties in the World

Myron Reed and Stephen Wolf are such a fun team, and they’re making defense number two of the titles in this one. The Besties in the World recently won a three way to crown themselves number one contenders for the United Glory Championships, and now they’re finally getting their shot. The Besties were the first ever United Glory Champions, and had some great matches, most notably their match against The Lucha Bros at Something Wicked. They went on to lose the straps to Michael Elgin and Everett Connors, but I don’t think they’ll retain here, as Reed and Wolf are just getting started as champions. Don’t be surprised if this one ends up being match of the night.

Prediction: Stephen Wolf and Myron Reed

Crown of Glory Championship: Curt Stallion (c) vs. DJZ

Curt Stallion has held the Crown of Glory for over 110 days now, and I personally believe his reign is just getting started. DJZ will be a fun opponent, and this is a match that should be great, as long as there isn’t a chemistry issue (which I don’t expect). DJZ has been kept in the tag division so far in Glory Pro, but after losing the titles recently, he’s branching out to singles competition, and is put in a big time match here. Stallion has already defeated the likes of Jake Something, Warhorse, and Marko Stunt, and I expect DJZ to be the next on that list.

Prediction: Curt Stallion
