With companies shifting towards weekly programing, Enjoy Wrestling has put together a great show with Canned Heat. This show was a four week tournament to award The Enjoy Cup and was filled with bad blood and great wrestling. The diverse contender field was filled with prominent names (Lee Moriarty and Solo Darling) and up-and-comers (Mr. Grim and Ziggy Haim). Each episode contained two distinct matches that kept me wanting more. Episode Four culminated in a highly contested Finals between Lee Moriarty and MV Young. After a hard fought battle to determine Pittsburgh’s best wrestler, Mr. Grim came in, wrecked shop and took the trophy for himself.

One match that still sticks out most to me is company’s first ever match: Shawn Phoenix vs Mr. Grim. These were names I wasn’t familiar with and after the match I wanted more of both. Mr. Grim in particular left a lasting impression as he put Phoenix in a bodybag and carried him off. Another high mark of the show was Ziggy Haim taking a dark turn and unmasking the former Still Life after losing to her. Luckily for the now Edith Surreal, Solo Darling and Willow Nightingale would not let this stand and ran Ziggy off. Edith would have her revenge though as she cut a handful of locks from the head of Ziggy post-match on Episode Four.

Episode Three was an absolutely excellent total package which showcased the tournament’s Semi-Finals. MV Young took on Mr. Grim in a hard-hitting PolyAm Cult Street Fight where both men pulled out all the stops to win. On the flip-side of that coin you also had a highly technical matchup between Lee Moriarty and Edith Surreal. In-between matches there was also adverts from “The Gavel” David Lawless which seemingly felt out of place. That was until the very end of Episode Four where he pulled out The Enjoy Cup that Mr. Grim stole.

Now add some big league production value to this action and you have yourself an excellent show. The stunning production quality Enjoy put down cannot be overstated enough. This tremendous camera quality highlighted the already beautiful venue housing the show. Commentary, handled by MLW’s Rich Bocchini and GCW star Effy, was a joy to hear and added to the already exciting action. With episodes clocking in at under an hour and being readily available via Enjoy’s YouTube channel, there is no reason why fans shouldn’t give this company a chance. I eagerly await whats to come from this company and look forward to seeing what other talent will join their ranks.
