Wrestlers’ Lab is halfway through season 2 and MV Young has already defended his championship three times. Pimp Daddy Apple Cinnamon is banned from the building and has been trying to find a way in and Alec Price is becoming a breakout star. This is my recap of the first four episodes, which you can find on IWTV. The new episodes premier Saturday mornings at 10 am on IWTV.

We open with Ziggy Haim stating that Bobby Orlando is underestimating her, and she is going to take him down and his little goat too. Which leads us to Ziggy verse Bobby. Bobby Orlando, as always is accompanied to the ring by Bobby Jr, his stuffed goat. He shows little respect to Ziggy as the match starts but Ziggy shows little fear and has the crowd behind her. Bobby has Bobby Jr start the match, but Ziggy gets rid of him quickly with a stunner. This angers Bobby resulting in him going after Ziggy a little too aggressively as Ziggy is able to avoid him and turn the match into her favor and hit him with a cannonball dive on the outside, but Bobby is able to drop her spine first on the apron and get the advantage. Bobby stays on Ziggy until she is able to fire up and hits a shining wizard.  Bobby tries to pick Ziggy up, but Ziggy slips out and pins Bobby with a backslide for the win. After the match Ziggy apologizes to Bobby Jr and Bobby gives the ref an airplane spine, but Ziggy is the one that walks away with the win.

Devantes says that one of the best tag teams, The Rep, asked him to fill in for Mr. Grim as their partner against 3 people that he does not like, MSP and Alec Price. The match is lucha rules and starts out very chaotic, as all 6 men battle it out. The Rep show their dominance as they pick up both members of MSP and hit the collider, smashing them both into Price. Once it calms down and the ref gets some control in the match, MSP and Price use their team work to isolate Devantes. Devantes makes the tag, and The Rep is able to take out MSP. Price enters the ring and Devantes picks him up, but MSP hit him with a double superkick and dive onto The Rep on the floor. Price uses this opportunity to hit the surprise kick on Devantes for the win.

The main event is a PolyAm Rules 2 out of 3 falls match for the Wrestlers’ Lab Championship between the leader of the PolyAm Cult, MV Young, and Anthony Gangone. First fall is pinfall, second fall is submission and the third fall is anything goes. They are very cautious early in the match, as the crowd is firmly behind MV. Gangone gets the advantage and locks in multiple submissions to try to break MV down. The match then becomes more of a striking battle and MV hits a flying dropkick from the top. Gangone suplexes MV over the top driving him spine first on the apron, but also hurting his neck on the rope in the process. They battle in the ring and Gangone pins MV with a superman pin and gets the first pinfall while grabbing the rope for some extra leverage. Gangone tries to capitalize on the early advantage and goes right after MV to start the second fall. MV answers with a violence party in the corner and hits a superplex from the corner, but Gangone is able to reverse it into a Kamora. MV tosses Gangone out of the ring and goes to grab him, but Gangone hits him with a chair and gets disqualified, evening up the match 1-1 leading into the third fall, which is no DQ. They battle in the crowd and MV grabs a door from under the ring.  MV goes for the MV Bomb, but Gangone backdrops him onto the floor. He then hits a spear onto MV on the apron and brings a chair in the ring. MV uses that chair against Gangone and hits him with a twisting brainbuster on it. He starts picking up some speed, but Gangone hits him with a low blow and a swanton, but MV answers with a huge lariat. MV sets up the door in the corner and gives Gangone a MV Bomb, but the door does not break. He spears Garngone through the table, but Gangone kicks out at two. Gangone fights back with a spinning TKO for a 2 count of his own. Gangone dumps a bag of thumbtacks on the ring. That backfires for Gangone as he gets backdropped on the tacks. MV then hits a drop toe hold on Gangone dropping him headfirst on the tacks, then MV forces Gangone to tap out in the tacks. After the match we see MV state that he will not rest and wants to take on Alec Price on episode two.

Episode 2 starts with Alec Price stating that MV made a mistake by issuing the challenge as he will put his foot through MV’s skull, and everyone’s eyes will be on The Prize.

The first match of episode 2 is the veteran Veda Scott against the rookie Abby Jane. They are both Vloging as they enter the ring and very wholesomely take selfies with each other before they start the match. Veda gets the early advantage using some veteran tactics taking advantage of Abby’s inexperience and possibly her naivety. She lays in some big kicks, but Abby ducks the last, hits a kick of her own and a twisted forearm to briefly get the advantage but that does not last long as Veda hits a spear, a shining wizard and makes Abby tap out. Veda came out to cheers from the crowd, but after some questionable tactics was met with some boos after the result.

Alexander Lee says that MSP is no longer the vibe that is guiding them, but the stars are leading them to violence and Max Zero will experience this violence. Max Zero comes to the ring dressed incredibly stylish to the song “I’m too sexy”. Alexander Lee comes to the ring with a barbed wire crown on their head. They take the battle to the floor early as Lee slams Max’s head on a chair and goes to run around the ring but gets met with a clothesline from Max. In the ring Max hits Lee with a clothesline, then a springboard moonsault. Max hits Lee with an Alabama Slam into the corner, followed by a boot to the face and drives Lee’s spine into his knee, getting him the pin for the win.

We now have Big Callux’s talk show. Callux’s first guests are the scrunchie squad, Erica Leigh and Becca, who bring some plants to the ring to spruce up the talk show. The talk show is quickly interrupted by Katie Arquette, Big Dan, and Isana. Katie says that her and Isana are the OGs of the Lab and the only stars. Callux challenges the three of them to a trios match and gets a scrunchie from Becca to form the Big Scrunchie Squad.

Pancakes is trying to figure out a way to beat Trevor Aeon. Sam Laterna tells Pancakes that Trevor is not at actually a vampire, and he will need to beat Trevor by wrestling, which Pancakes thinks he can do. Trevor has a very intimidating gothic presence. Pancakes is very hesitant and puzzled by Trevor, but is able to get an early advantage. This seems to only anger Trevor as he shakes off shots from Pancakes and drops Pancakes with a huge clothesline. Trever picks Pancakes up but Pancakes counters with a stunner, Superman elbow and a spear, but can only get a 2 count. Trevor makes Pancakes eat a huge knee, but Pancakes shows his toughness by kicking out. This angers Trevor who hits Pancakes with a suplex followed by a Superman elbow for the win.

In the main event MV Young defends his championship once again, this time against Alec Price. Alec starts off fast and takes the advantage early. MV starts fighting back with some chops, but gets met with a bicycle kick from Price. MV finally takes over the match with an overhead T-Bone throw followed by some kicks, a forearm and a stomp. Price goes to the top, but is met by MV, who hits him with a superplex followed by 2 additional suplexes. Price hits MV with 2 big kicks in the corner. He misses the third and tries to hit MV off the ropes but gets met with a dropkick from MV. Price comes back with an impressive diving double stomp off the second rope. MV hits a jumping lung blower, but Price comes back with the Prized Possession. MV kicks out at two and Price goes for it again, but MV counters and hits Price in the back of the head for his second title defense of the season.

Pimp Daddy Apple Cinnamon has been banned from this season because of prior actions, but through the first two episodes we see that he has made it to the building and is trying to find a door to sneak into the building.

Episode 3 opens with Façade stating that he is glad to be in the Lab where he will be showing the world a new Façade. He surely has his work cut out for him as he is giving up a lot of size against a very angry Logan Black. Façade uses his speed to get the advantage early but gets caught with a straight right hand from Black on the outside and Black brings the fight to him before throwing him back in the ring. Façade shows that he can strike along with fly, as he lands multiple kicks on Black before hitting him with a Burning Hammer. Black comes back with some flying of his own as he hits a spinning punch from the middle rope, but Façade retaliates with some kicks and locks in the Ninja Lock for the submission win.

We see Pimp Daddy Cinnamon still trying to get in the building. He thinks that he finds a back entrance but is stopped by two referees.

Our next matchup is the gamer, Big Game Leroy, against the baseball player, Boomer Hatfield. Leroy starts the match while playing his Switch and frustrates Boomer as Leroy gets the advantage while still playing his game. Boomer takes Leroy’s Switch away and takes Leroy to the mat. Boomer works on Leroy’s arm. Leroy comes back with some strikes and hits a twisting driver, but Boomer goes back to the arm and gets Leroy to tap out with the Rings of Saturn.

Hippy Dicky Moon gets his promo about his match with Eel O’neal interrupted by The Big Scrunchie squad who is headed to the ring for their trios match that comes from their altercation with Katie Arquette, Big Dan Champion and Isana during the debut of Big Callux’s talk show. The scrunchie squad looks to be working well as a team as they hit a double bulldog on Katie and then bring Big Callux in the ring, but he is met by Big Dan and Dan’s team takes control of the match as they isolate Becca. Becca makes the tag to Erica, who takes out Katie and Isana, but her offense is brought to a sudden halt by Big Dan. Katie and Isana then take their turn working over Erica before she makes the tag to Callux, who hits all his opponents with big chops to the head. .He then drops Becca onto Isana for the win.

Eel O’neal, the African American Horror Story, states that Hippy Dicky Moon is not serious enough and that will be his downfall. Eel attacks Moon as the bell rings and is ruthless with his attack early. He is brutal with his attack on Moon and focuses on his arm. Moon makes a brief comeback and goes from sliced bread, but Eel escapes and goes to the ropes. He then punches Moon behind the ref’s back and locks in an arm submission for the win.

We open episode 4 with Pancakes in at his training gym frustrated that he has been working so hard but cannot seem to get a victory and is trying to figure out how to get better. He decides that he will take on one of the best that The Lab has to offer, Alec Price. Price is asked about how he feels about facing Pancakes after losing to MV Young, which angers Price as he states that Pancakes is the bottom of the barrel and that he will eventually meet MV again and defeat him for the championship. First, he has to deal with one of the most popular wrestlers in Wrestlers’ Lab, Pancakes. Pancakes looks a little more confident in this match than he did against Trevor Aeon and takes the fight to Price. They go to the outside and Price starts trash talking the fans, he then rolls Pancakes in the ring, hits him with a huge clothesline and takes over control of the match. Price takes his time dissecting Pancakes and dropping a knee on him from the middle rope. Pancakes is able to fight back with a Superman forearm and a spear, but Price kicks out at two. Pancakes goes to the top rope, but Price kicks out his leg, hits a double stomp and finishes him off with the surprise kick for the win.

Becca is talking to Sam Laterna in the back and Veda interrupts them and says that they know Becca wants them in the scrunchie squad and if she can beat Veda, Veda will join the scrunchie squad. Becca and Sam are a little confused as Becca never actually invited them to be in the squad. Veda comes into this match very cocky and is using their veteran experience to gain the upperhand. They put Becca on the turnbuckle, but Becca comes off it and takes Veda down with a Thesz Press. She then hits a crossbody on Veda for a near fall. Becca hits Veda with some kicks and goes to the top but is brought down to the mat with a Fisherman’s Suplex. Veda then takes a scrunchie out of Becca’s bag and forces her to tap out by chocking her with it.

For MV Young’s third title defense of the season he takes on one of the Ugly Ducklings Rob Killjoy. MV starts off hot and hits a kick on Killjoy from the apron. Both men fight on the outside and MV cracks Killjoy’s spine on the side of the ring. They exchange suplexes in the ring, then they both go for kicks and clotheslines and remain even. They exchange strikes in the middle of the ring. MV hits a big clothesline, but Killjoy answers with a pair of powerbombs, followed by a coast to coast. Killjoy goes to the top, but gets caught by MV, who gives him 3 suplexes, the 3 third in the corner, followed by a powerbomb of his own, but Killjoy continues to fight back. Killjoy goes for a springboard moonsault, but MV kicks him in the head mid-rotation and hits him with a suplex with a bridge for the win.
