Here are the results and recap of another great week of MLW Underground Wrestling on REELZ TV:

We start off with Alex Hammerstone making his way down the ramp. Commentator Joe Dombrowski announces tonight’s main event for the MLW World Heavyweight Championship: Alex Hammerstone (c) Vs. Lance Anoa’i. This takes us into the intro music for the show.

Lio Rush comes out and is introduced by ring announcer Tim Barr. The announce team of Joe Dombroswki & Matt Striker introduce themselves, as well as Alex Hammerstone who joined them for the match. Tim Barr then introduced Jacob Fatu. We get a package showing the history between Fatu & Hammerstone. Their title match is promoted for the March 21st edition of Underground TV.

As Fatu comes down and circles the ring giving fans high fives, Rush does a dive through the bottom rope on Fatu. He follows this up with a moonsault. Rush goes back into the ring and Fatu enters. There are a mixture of chants from the fans for both Fatu and Lio.

Jacob Fatu vs Lio Rush

Match starts off with Rush using his quickness to avoid Fatu & then proceeds to slap Fatu. The crowd chants “Fatu’s gonna kill you”! Rush jumps but Fatu catches him and slams him to the canvas. Fatu slaps Rush and uses his power to take control of the match. After hitting Rush with a hip attack, Fatu starts talking to the crowd again, as the crowd chants “Fatu”! Fatu runs to the corner Rush is in, however Rush takes out his legs. Rush continues  trying to work Fatu’s leg, however he is too powerful and whips Rush into the ring corner. The force sends Rush through the middle ropes onto the floor. With that they go to a commercial.

Coming back from the break, Rush is back in the ring and once again is using his speed to gain some momentum on Fatu. Rush goes to the top rope and hits a big cross body for a near fall. Then a springboard stunner for another near fall. Crowd chant for “Fatu” begins again. Rush goes again to the top rope but misses and Fatu hits him with a super kick. Then a standing moonsault for a two count.

Fatu goes for the alley uce but Rush counters with a rewind poison-rana. Rush comes off the ropes, however this time Fatu is able to perform the alley uce. He finished with his double spring moonsault to pick up the three count and victory in what was a fantastic match!

Result: Jacob Fatu defeats Lio Rush via pinfall.

Fatu grabs the mic and tells Hammerstone who has not made his way fully to the back yet, that the belt is coming back to him. Hammerstone comes back down and into the ring. After a verbal exchange in the ring at each another, it turns into a brawl. Officials come to the ring to try to separate them, as we go to commercial break.

Returning from the break, officials are still trying to gain control and separate the two who are now on the outside of the ring.

We then get a video package showing a replay of last week’s Openweight Championship Match, and Hannigan defeating Richards to win the championship.

From there we go to the back where Sam Adonis introduces Cesar Duran. Duran said he told everyone just you wait and everyone waited. Now they’re dripping in gold! In comes Taya Valkyrie and John Hannigan. Valkyrie said it’s been heating up since she became champion. So it’s only natural to bring the hottest free agent to MLW, her husband, John Hannigan. Hannigan said is there a dr around because something is wrong? Hannigan then proceeds to say someone better call one, cause these pythons are sick, as he poses! We close the segment with everyone laughing.

We go back to the ring where announcer Tim Barr does the introductions to the next match. Coming down to the ring first are Myron Reed & Mr Thomas from the Bomaye Fight Club. They are accompanied by Alex King. They show a replay of the brawl last week between BFC and the New Bulldogs. King joins the commentary team for the match. Next, the Billington Bulldogs are introduced and come to the ring. BFC attacks the Bulldogs before the match even starts.

Bomaye Fight Club (Myron Reed & Mr Thomas) vs The Billington Bulldogs (Mark & Thomas Billington)

Match starts with Thomas Billington and Myron Reed in the ring. After a tag to Mark Billington and shoulder tackle by Mark to Reed, Reed rolls to the outside of the ring and converses with Mr Thomas. As they are outside, Mark hits a moonsault off the top rope onto both of them, as we go into a commercial break.

Back from the break, BFC takes control of the match with Mark Bellington in the ring. Mark gets tossed around high in the air from Mr Thomas. Mark makes a tag to his brother Thomas, but ref didn’t see it.

Mark finally makes a hot tag to Thomas. All four men are in the ring. Thomas Billington slams Mr Thomas. Both Billingtons clothesline Mr Thomas to floor. Mark and Thomas both do dives through the middle rope on each side of ring to their opponents outside.

Alex Kane tried to interfere in the match however Davey Boy Smith Jr comes down. Mark Billington has Mr Thomas up as Thomas Billington hits a missile drop kick from the top rope for three count. All three babyfaces celebrate in the ring. As stipulated, if the Bulldogs won, Alex Kane would have to give Davey Boy Smith Jr a match. Kane is stunned outside of the ring and can’t believe he has to face Smith Jr.

Result: Billington Bulldogs defeat BFC via pinfall on Mr Thomas.

We are shown clips from previous weeks between Real1 and Mance Warner. Real 1 then cuts promo in wheel chair and said how he is suing Mance Warner, and everyone including MLW.

Tag Team Title Match is announced for next week. Hustle and Power (c) Vs Samoan Swat Team. We go to the back where Hustle and Power cut a promo. EJ talks about being disrespected by Fatu and about his world title match. Tankman interrupts him and asks, “what about these tag titles?” Enough with this I stuff, it’s suppose to be us!

We have a sit down with Hammerstone talking about being champion and his journey to get there. As well as the pressure of being and staying champ. He states in 2023, there are some dream matches he would like to have. This was an interview previously shown on an MLW Fusion episode. Fatu vs Hammerstone 2 world title match is again advertised for the March 21st edition of MLW Underground.

Clip is shown from last week showing calling card attackers attacking MSL, Dorado, and Microman. They cut to hallway stairs and Mance Warner is with Microman. He cuts a promo on how no one messes with Microman. He has Microman’s back and challenges the attackers to show up next week. He says whether it’s one on one or all them, he’s going to lay them out cold. The main event is advertised and we go to commercial break.

Back from break we get a package showing the calling card attackers being revealed as Raven, Akira, and Ricky Shane Page.

A replay of the brawl between Fatu and Hammerstone is shown from earlier on. The main event is announced. Lance Anoa’i comes down with his fellow Swat Team members.

We get a package going over the history of the Samoan Swat Team and take a look at this New Samoan Swat Team comprised of Jacob Fatu, Lance Anoa’i, & Juicy Finau. Hustle and Power are shown in the audience. Fatu joins commentary as Hammerstone is introduced and comes down.

MLW World Championship Match: Alex Hammerstone (c) vs. Lance Anoa’i

Match starts off with some tie ups. Lance hits a drop kick. Alex comes back with belly to belly and clothesline to Lance outside. Hammerstone comes outside, exchange words with, and starts fighting Fatu again. Officials come out to break them up. Hustle and Power now come out of the crowd and start brawling with Lance and Juicy from the Swat Team.

Result: Alex Hammerstone & Lance Anoa’i battle to a no contest.

Officials finally get Hustle and Power to the back. The show ends with Hammerstone in the ring holding up the championship, while Fatu and the rest of the Samoan Swat Team stare at him on the ramp.

Overall View Of Episode: Each week continues to get better as far as content, storylines, and matches being shown. MLW is doing a great job hyping and promoting the long awaited rematch between Hammerstone versus Fatu on March 21st. Looking forward to next week’s episode.
