One week prior to it’s return, The Bamboozle Festival has been canceled. According to NJ.com, in a statement released this afternoon, a spokesperson for Atlantic City, where the three-day festival was to be held May 5th-7th, confirmed Bamboozle would not receive it’s final permits after organizers failed to submit necessary paperwork by the city’s deadline.

In a statement released on Bamboozle’s Instagram page, it states “After extensive discussions, we have made the heartbreaking decision to cancel Bamboozle 2023. An incredible amount of time, dedication, passion and hard work was invested into making this comeback a success. We appreciate everyone who supported this festival. Refunds should be requested at point of purchase.”

This effects Game Changer Wrestling as they were set to have three events over the course of the three day festival. Announced for those events were GCW World Champion Masha Slamovich, Joey Janela, Nick Gage, Brandon Kirk, Akira, Jeff Cannonball and Lowlife Louie. All three events were scheduled to stream live on FITE+. There’s no word yet as to if GCW will be holding alternative events that weekend.
