AAW has announced that they are forced to cancel tonight’s event due to the venue being shut down by the city of Chicago.

Irving Hall was shut down yesterday by the city following last night’s Freelance Wrestling “Freelance vs The World 9” event. The show featured talents such as Alec Price, EFFY and Sandra Moone, and can be watched on IWTV. Following the event, a notice was put on the door stating “Business Closed By Order Of City Of Chicago.”

The notice also states No PPA Activity with an effective date of 6/9/2023. Apparently the venue didn’t have the proper license needed to host events of any type of amusement to the public.

This had left AAW with the difficult task of trying to pull something together on short notice, which they were unable to do. Their “Crush & Destory” event has been canceled. The show featured matches such as Robert Anthony vs Mance Warner in a Pure Wrestling Rules Match, Alec Price vs “BIG BEEF” Gnarls Garvin, Silas Young vs Silas Mason, Sierra & Heather Reckless vs Shazza McKenzie & B3CCA, and more! The refund process will start soon.
