Highlights:

Alex Colon vs Crazy King
Unlucky 13 Staple Gun Match

Only Sami Callihan and WR can think of something this sadistic and fucked-up. Each armed with a staple gun, pin falls and submissions were only permited when human flesh, be it of Colon or King was stapled 13 times.

A la Zona 23, dollar bills were punctured into heads, 13 plus staples left teeth marks in the maimed skin of both conestants, bodies went through tables, doors and chairs topped with light tubes hammered into the gut of Crazy King as a result of Colon landing a vicious double barrel dropkick to take the win.

The excitment level was already boiling hot by this point as the show was going splendidly. King and Colon proceeded to blow it up to the sky and light everyone watching on fire.

This was violent, exciting and fun death matched tinged hardcore wrestling.

Tag Team Match-WR vs Prestige
Motor City Machine Guns-Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin (Prestige) vs The ABC-Ace Austin & Chris Bey (WR)

It would be an understatement to say things are going well as of late for both members of Motor City Machine Guns. Fresh off their victories and capturing of the Impact Heavyweight and X-Division champiomships respectively, the former and latter went into WR and Ring of Destiny reeling and it showed.

This was a mixed bag of bar-raising tag wrestling and story telling on both ends; a master class squeezed into one fight between 2 of the finest duo’ today. But a respectful and heartfelt tip of the hat and salute go to the Guns for displaying heel wrestling greatness to all lucky enough to be watching.

REVOLVER Title Match
Jake Crist vs Steve Maclin

My first concern would be for the new WR champion Jake Crist’ health as I was quite sure Maclin killed him about 3 times during this bone crunching slugfest.

I don’t know what was more awe inspiring; Crist’ courage, resilience and tight, exceptionally executed move arsenal or the frightening power of Maclin and his stiff as fuck offensive attack.

This could have gone either way as it looked like both were about ready to die before accepting defeat. Crist pulled it off in movie like fashion despite being nearly mauled to death by the former champ; a former champ who embraced his fall with dignity by embracing his opponent after the match, acknowldging his warrior spirit and long overdue flowers and gold.

Closing Comments:

Finally, a shout out to Bork Torkelson & Veda Scott for ringing out amazing, playful and entertaining commentary from start to finish.

This was another shiny asterisk in the books for WR as they continue to elevate the game for indie wrestling.
