Fusion starts off with an Alex Kane press conference as new champion. Kane is accompanied by Mr Thomas. He said he made Hammerstone his bitch when he made him tap out. He still doesn’t respect Hammerstone. Also that Bomaye and title is for the people! We then go into the intro music for the show.

Announce Team is Joe Dombrowski and Matt Striker. Dombrowski hypes match coming up in a MLW Women’s Featherweight Championship rematch between Delmi Exo and Taya Valkyrie. Dombrowski notes Exo is now a duel champion after Never Say Never. This match was from the April 8th Battle Riot V taping, so Delmi only had the Featherweight belt on her at the time.

Valkyrie cuts a pre-recorded promo on Delmi Exo ahead of their title rematch. Valkyrie comes to the ring with John Hennigan and then we get a Delmi Exo interview with Sam Laterna. She talks about her medical status after being attacked by Taya from behind and confirms the match is on. Now Delmi comes down. Hennigan joins announce team at announce table.

MLW Women’s Featherweight Championship Match: Delmi Exo (c) vs Taya Valkyrie

Taya and Delmi begin the match by slapping each other. Taya rolls to outside and Delmi dropkicks her through the ropes. Taya grabs hold of Delmi and throws her into the ring post. Taya has now taken control of the match outside. We go to a break.

Back from the break, Taya is still in control as she gets Delmi back in the ring, working her in the corner. She then gets Delmi’s upper body in between the ropes and hits 10 forearms to the chest, shades of Sheamus in WWE. Hennigan even made mention of it while announcing.

Momentum changes when Taya goes to hit Delmi with knee, however, she misses and her leg gets stuck in the rope. Delmi hits Taya with backstabber and then completes a suplex. Taya now makes a comeback and hits a curb stomp to Delmi while holding her arms. Goes for Rode to Valhalla but Delmi reverses it into a role up to two count.

Hennigan gets up from announce table and goes onto the ring apron. He goes to get involved but gets knocked off the top rope. Delmi gets Taya in an arm bar and after wrenching back on it, Taya taps!

Result: Delmi Exo submits Taya Valkyrie to retain her title.

We are shown clip from last week’s Fusion when MSL turns on Microman and Davey Boy Smith Jr kicking Microman, then power slamming him. We then get the clip of Matt Cardona being drafted and introduced as joining MLW at Never Say Never. We go to a break.

Now back, we are shown the MLW title match recap from Never Say Never and how Don King is BFC’s financial backer. We go to Sam Laterna waiting outside Court Bauer’s office where there’s arguing and screaming. He comes out and says to Laterna, never do business with Don King!

O’Shey Edwards is announced as next person drafted officially to MLW. We then go to April 6th War Chamber taping in NYC for the Ken Broadway vs TJ Crawford match.

Ken Broadway vs TJ Crawford

TJ Crawford tries to get off to a quick start, however, Broadway uses his size and strength in the early going. Crawford makes a comeback by taking out Broadway’s leg. Crawford now has control of the match. Broadway comes back with a huge clothesline, creating the distance he needs, as both wrestlers are down. Now both are getting up and reach their feet at the same time, trading blows. Both competitors are going back and forth, hitting moves, and getting near falls. Broadway ends the match with a bridged German suplex for the three count.

Result: Ken Broadway def. TJ Crawford via pinfall.

We are shown clips of MLW Tag Team Championship match from Never Say Never and The Calling becoming new champions. We then get advertisement for opening round of Opera Cup 2023 starting next week.

Mance Warner joins commentary team. The main event is a Triple Threat Match for # 1 Contender. Willie Mack is introduced first to the crowd chanting his name. Next, Lio Rush is introduced. Lastly, John Hennigan is introduced with Sam Adonis. Adonis and Mancer exchange words at ringside.

Triple Threat Match for # 1 Contender Match: Willie Mack vs John Hennigan vs Lio Rush

All three tease a three-way test of strength, but Rush, and Hennigan roll out of the ring, leaving Mack in the ring. Rush and Hennigan are comically doing rock, paper, scissors to see who will go in with Mack. Sam Adonis comes on the apron and distracts Mack, Rush and Hennigan now come from behind to attack Mack. Hennigan and Rush are now going at it in the ring as Mack is outside. Mack enters back in the ring and now all three men are going at it. Mack hits a Samoan drop on Hennigan as we go to a break.

We get a commercial for MLW Fury Road coming up in September.

Back from break, Mack does a standing moonsault on Hennigan, but Rush breaks up the count. Rush and Hennigan join forces briefly until Hannigan double crosses Rush and superkicks him. That sends Rush falling out of the ring. Hennigan and Mack are going at it again.

Rush uses his flying ability by doing a suicide dive onto Mack on one side outside of the ring, and then to Hannigan on the other side outside of the ring. Rush goes up on the top rope and attempts a frog splash to Mack but he misses. Hennigan is back in the ring. Adonis interferes and tries to hold Mack while Hennigan goes to hit him, however, Mack moves out and Hennigan hits Adonis instead. Mack rolls up Hennigan for the three count.

Result: Willie Mack def. John Hennigan & Lio Rush

We go off the air quickly while Willie Mack is still in the ring victorious.
