Expect The Unexpected will be coming to The Mecca in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey this Sunday July 30th for the sixth event titled “Summer Madness.”

The title of the show is fitting as ETU is bringing a stacked card which includes the top independent wrestlers in the world today as well as noticeable names across several major promotions. Here’s a look at the entire announced card.

ETU Key To The East Championship Match: Masha Slamovich (c) vs. Marcus Mathers

A huge title match as Masha Slamovich defends the ETU Key To The East Championship against the challenger and number one contender Marcus Mathers.

Marcus Mathers is calling this match the biggest match of his career. “This match means everything to me. I’ve worked so hard. It’s my time.” As for Masha Slamovich, one of the top wrestlers in the world today, it’s just another title defense.

The champion currently holds 7 different championships across the wrestling world. Masha captured the Key To The East Championship back in September in a tournament to crown the first ever champion. Who did she defeat in the tournament finals? Marcus Mathers.

Since winning, Masha has yet to defend the championship inside an ETU ring, with two title defenses outside the promotion, both being back in December. She successfully defended against Billie Starkz at ACTION Wrestling and Danny Demanto at ICW NHB Pitfighter X 14.

Since then Marcus has been grinding in ETU, defeating Jordan Oliver in a huge feud which ended in a TLC Match for a shot at the championship. Now “The Young Prodigy” is cashing in his title shot and is looking to become the top dog in ETU.

Will Marcus finally have his moment or will Masha continue her dominace of the wrestling world?

IWTV Independent Wrestling Tag Team Championship Match: Miracle Generation (c) vs. The SAT

The Sons of a Generation put the gold on the line against the Fathers of the Style Today.

The IWTV Independent Wrestling Tag Team Championships will be on the line as the champions Kylon King and Dustin Waller of Miracle Generation, defend against Joel and Jose Maximo, The SAT. The Director of IWTV Championship Committee Avery Good have heard the complaints of the titles being mostly defended in Worcester and made this one official.

The SAT have been a staple at ETU since the beginning, only missing one event due to injury. That event being ETU’s “New History” where they missed out on being in the T4 Summit Tournament to crown the inaugural IWTV Tag Team Champions. Now the Maximos get their long awaited title shot.

The two teams have squared off before in trios action at “We Don’t Belong Here” back in October. The SAT came out on top in that match against The Miracle Ones (Miracle Generation and Ichiban). Can they do it again? Will we see new IWTV Tag Team Champions or will Miracle Generation have their 11th successful title defense?

Alec Price vs. Lee Moriarty

One on one for the first time ever, “The Northeast Beast” Alec Price will take on “TAIGASTYLE” Lee Moriarty.

This one has big fight feel written all over it. One of the top independent wrestlers in the world today versus an AEW superstar. A true dream match.

The two have been going back and forth on social media, first with Lee Moriarty posting a video on Twitter saying he’s going to teach Alec Price what it feels like to be in the ring with a beast. Alec replied saying taigastyle ain’t gonna do him any good after he breaks every bone from his body. Moriarty fired back with another video saying he wasn’t gonna just hurt Price, he was going to embarrass him.

So who is the true beast? We find out this Sunday.

Danny Demanto vs. Homicide

Grudge Match time as the “Cold Hearted Playa” Danny Demanto takes on “The Notorious 187” Homicide.

Danny Demanto took to Twitter to tell the story behind this match and trying to earn Homicide’s respect for years. It’s been 9 years since they’ve wrestled one on one.

“I was in the worst shape of my life both mentally and physically. I was embarrassed of my performance that day and it’s haunted me ever since.”

9 years later the two veterans will meet inside an ETU ring. Both men have a combined experience of over 50 years in professional wrestling.

“If this is our last dance let’s make it the best one ever Homicide.”

For the show you can expect the unexpected but for this one expect it to get dangerous.

Above The Rest vs. Rip City Shooters

Three out of the four men in this match will be making their ETU debut. Gabriel Skye has competed at ETU before but only as a singles competitor. Him and his tag team partner, Tristen Thai have been tearing it up across the independent wrestling scene at Beyond Wrestling, Limitless Wrestling and Deadlock Pro.

The Rip City Shooters made up of Joshua Bishop and Wes Barkley have been doing the same, competing in AIW, Enjoy Wrestling and even the NWA. They’re also former AIW Tag Team Champions.

This is a styles clash between the two teams and styles clashes can make for the best fights. No matter who wins, this one will be a must-see.

4 Corner Key Contender Match: J Boujii vs. ??? vs. ??? vs. ???

Taking influence from the old school Ring of Honor days, the Four Corner Survival match has become a staple at ETU.

We only have one announced entrant in this match, and that’s all we’re gonna get.

J Boujii has been running his mouth on Twitter, so in his debut match with ETU, as a punishment, he enters the four corners match without knowing his opponents.

Possible entrants include Billie Starkz, PB Smooth, Dezmond Cole and Akira, who have all been announced for the event. The winner of the match will become number one contender for the Key To The East Championship.

Another possible entrant is the wildcard Ken Broadway, who seems to have an issue with ETU management, and in particular The Struggles.

Broadway went and got his own graphic made saying he is the undefeated king of ETU and his presence will be felt on July 30th. “I’m bringing THE MADNESS to Summer Madness.” Broadway is undefeated in ETU, where he has only competed in multi-man matches.

These are the six announced matches for the huge event but aren’t the only matches scheduled to take place, as confirmed by ETU promoter The Struggles in interviews promoting the event. If you’re in the area, make sure to be there in person. You can purchase tickets for the event at ETU6.Eventbrite.com.

If you can’t be there live, tune in to IWTV at 3pm sharp. The show will start off hot with plenty of unexpected moments and surprises. As the title says, Expect The Unexpected.
