On Sunday, July 30th, Create A Pro held its big event, “Beyond Boundaries.” This show had it all, it had a bunch of fantastic wrestling, a lot of fun moments, and even saw a brand new championship (we’ll get to that later). The show started with an incredibly fun match between Birds of the Sun, which consists of Leo Sparrow and GKM, defeating the team of Bobby Orlando and Dr. Cool Jay Klang.

The Birds of the Sun are one of the hottest young tag teams that Create A Pro has seen in quite some time. Sparrow notably went up against MJF back at Homecoming and that put him on the map. He’s always been talented, but now the world gets to see. GKM is another incredibly young talent on the Create A Pro roster. Still fairly new to the scene, he has taken the world by storm already.

Bobby Orlando and Dr. Cool are two of the best fan favorites in Create A Pro. The fans love to root for the eccentric Orlando, and the Doctor of Cool, Jay Klang. However, the bigger story came after this match when Dr. Cool turned on Bobby Orlando. Turning heel in the process, a rivalry between Orlando and Dr. Cool will be very, VERY fun. The future is indeed bright for all four of these men, and this match showcased exactly why. Following this match, fans saw Bronson defeat Liam Davis in another incredibly hard-hitting match. Bronson and Davis are two of the more experienced wrestlers in Create A Pro and putting them one-on-one made for a GREAT match.

Up next, we saw a triple-threat tag team match. This match saw the Even Stevens (Stephen Azure and Steve Somerset), defeat Vlog Bro University (Jack Tomlinson and Dante Drago), and JGeorge/Sebastian Amor. This was a big victory for the Even Stevens, as it showed that they are still in the running for the tag team titles, and are still one of the top teams in Create A Pro. It’s always a pleasure to see Vlog Bro University as they kill it in whatever they do.

JGeorge and Sebastian Amor made for a decent tag team. It’s nice to see Amor featured on a Create A Pro show again. He’s brand new, but he has already shown a lot of improvement, and it’s a great thing to see. We then saw one of the first major matches of the night when Brian Myers teamed with Phil Cardigan and the Create A Pro Champion, Bryce Donovan, to take on Vargas, Jey Mesias, and Pat Fitzpatrick. The good guys won this match (Myers, Cardigan, and Donovan), and the fans love Cardigan. Vargas continued to look dominant and like a force to be reckoned with.

Up next, we saw a great singles match between Nick Robles and TJ Crawford. Crawford was victorious and continued to look great. However, Robles, despite being very new still, absolutely looked great. I hope to see more of Robles in singles competition at Create A Pro, he’s off to a great start.

The final match before intermission was for the Create A Pro Tag Team Championships. The Midlife Express (CPA and Kevin Tibbs), successfully retained their titles over Adrenaline Express (Eric James and VSK). This was a very fun match, and hopefully, it leads to Birds of the Sun winning the titles from the Midlife Express in due time.

As soon as we got back from intermission, “Your Homie THE GNOMIE,” Gabby Forza, and “Latina Spice” Nat Castle went one-on-one. This was a great match as it marked the first-ever singles match for both women. However, it would end in no contest as Ariela Nyx came out and attacked Forza with Castle. This led to Zuleyka making the save and all hell breaking loose.

I LOVED this. Brian Myers made his way down to the ring and unveiled a new Create A Pro Women’s Championship. Myers announced a tournament would take place to crown the first-ever Create A Pro Women’s Champion. While Nyx is more experienced and has shown her talents already, Forza, Castle, and Zuleyka are brand new. While that may be the case, each of them has a real chance to win this belt.

Castle has impressed so far in the ring, showing that despite being new, she is picking it up quickly and oozes charisma. The same can be said for Zuleyka and of course Gabby Forza. Forza has shown so far that she can hang with anyone you put in front of her, and yes… That includes Liam Davis who got body slammed at Homecoming. Create A Pro is the place that one of the greatest women’s wrestlers around today, Kris Statlander, trained at and it’s awesome seeing the division come back to life and seeing some new people showcase their talent.

We then saw a fun match between The Sweeper and Evil Kip for the Create A Pro Mayhem Medal. Which IS a championship at Create A Pro, right Evil Kip?

The match was very fun. It was the very first “Good House Keeping Rules” match, and it was chaotic in the best way possible. Anything you could imagine happening probably happened during this match. The Sweeper continues to be one of the hottest things going on in Create A Pro and continues to get adoration from the fans. Kip, on the other hand, is one of the best heels in Create A Pro. From One Tough Nerd to Evil, Kip has shown he can excel in really any character. Fans should take note and check him out.

The main event featured Aaron Rourke defeating EFFY. This was billed as the “Battle for the Gayges,” and it lived up to the hype. EFFY coming to Create A Pro was an amazing thing to see, and Rourke was the perfect person to work with him. If anyone doesn’t know Aaron Rourke check him out, he’s the future of this business and that is a statement I will standby until the end of time. This match saw a lot of fun moments, including Rourke and EFFY sharing a kiss in the ring, and other fun mockery of each other.

However, the important thing to note is just how important this match was. Rourke and EFFY made this match incredibly fun but also absolutely killed it in the ring. This was an excellent main event. It was a sight to see, and it was awesome to see LGBTQ+ wrestling on the rise right in front of my eyes. EFFY has been a bright light in a rather dim industry when it comes to that. As things have progressed, things have gotten better. However, in no way is it perfect by any means yet.

The importance of this show was in the name… Beyond Boundaries. At the end of the day, wrestling is here for EVERYONE. All races, religions, ethnicities, nationalities, sexes, anything. Boundaries don’t exist in wrestling and this show displayed just that. Rourke and EFFY were the perfect main event, for honestly a perfect show. I hope to see EFFY back in a Create A Pro ring. What a show, and what a night.

Hello, my name is Scott Mitchell and I have been a professional wrestling fan since 2005. Like everyone the first promotion I really fell in love with is the WWE. However, as I got older, I got largely into the greatness known as independent wrestling. Independent wrestling has turned into one of my biggest passions. Please enjoy!
