It is time for Beyond Wrestling’s biggest show of the year, Americanrana. This year will be the 9th edition, and it features eight huge matches as well as a wedding. Among the matches are two championship matches, grudge matches and a bunch of first time ever matches. This year’s card is filled with stars such as Alec Price, B3CCA, Miracle Generation, Rickey Shane Page, and more!

Americanrana ’23 Perfect Day will take place later today, Sunday August 13th from the White Eagle in Worcester, Massachusetts. The event will stream live on IWTV. Here is a preview of the entire card.

Stepping into his 12th title defense, the IWTV Independent Wrestling World Champion Matt Tremont will be defending the title in the same building he won it at back on December 30, 2022. Challenging for the championship would be the number one contender “The Northeast Beast” Alec Price. After spending 95 weeks on the PWI IWTV Championship ratings, Price gets his well deserved and well earned title shot.

It’s been a rocky start to Tremont’s IWTV World Championship title reign, but since Avery Good has become the new Director of the IWTV Championship Committee, Tremont has been defending the championship more, defending the title five times since.

Alec Price has been a top contender for nearly two years. He had a title match back in October of last year at Wrestling Open’s “Turn The Page” where he squared off against then champion AC Mack. B3CCA cost him the match and he hasn’t had a shot since. Now he enters the White Eagle as the fan favorite in Beyond Wrestling’s biggest show of the year. He’s looking to take the title and take Tremont’s head off. Will we see a new champion or does “The Bulldozer” add another victim to his championship reign?

Another huge championship match will be Miracle Generation putting their IWTV Independent Wrestling Tag Team Championships on the line against the tag team that have many names, B3CCA and Aaron Rourke.

The top tag team in the New England area is going into this match with 12 successful title defenses. Kylon King and Dustin Waller have defended the championships in Beyond Wrestling, Wrestling Open, Pro Wrestling Magic and ETU. They’re going into the match with more tag team experience than their opponents.

B3CCA and Rourke, aka Y2Kutie aka Best Hoes aka GBFs, are going into the match undefeated in Beyond Wrestling, defeating the teams of Best Bros and YoKai. The team of the International Pop Star and the Dimepiece have had great success as singles competitors but are ready to take over the tag team division. Will the Gay Best Friends hit the slay button and leave the White Eagle with new gold around their waists?

The card is subject to change. Originally scheduled to be Rickey Shane Page versus Masha Slamovich, the Beyond Wrestling match makers came through with a huge team warfare match. Rickey Shane Page will have his stablemates in The Calling joining him in renewing his rivalry between 44OH.

Forming in MLW, the MLW Tag Team Champions of Rickey Shane Page and Akira, joined by Delirious have been running roughshod in the promotion. Both RSP and Akira have history with their opponents. Akira even fought 44OH member Atticus Cogar inside White Eagle during Wrestival at Prestige Wrestling’s “The Things We Carry.”

RSP’s history with 44OH goes deeper and further, being the former leader of the group. 44OH began to form during 2019, originating in GCW. The two carried independent wrestling throughout the pandemic. Fast forward a few years and RSP turned on Atticus Cogar and left 44OH after Atticus captured the Circle 6 Championship. Atticus went on to be the leader of the new 44OH.

In this match Atticus is joined by members the Young Studs, Eric Ryan and Bobby Beverly. Beyond Wrestling promoter Drew Cordeiro stated that Young Studs vs Team Beyond in Elyria, Ohio helped put Beyond Wrestling on the map. Now the trio also know as Death By Chimera, will be stepping into a Beyond Wrestling ring to seek revenge on their former 44OH leader.

A match one year in the making. The current Wrestling Open Champion Ichiban will take on AEW star Ortiz.

At the end of last year’s Americanrana, at the conclusion of the main event featuring Wheeler YUTA squaring off against Timothy Thatcher, the new blood of Beyond Wrestling/Wrestling Open (Alec Price, Miracle Generation and Ichiban) faced off with the OGs and AEW stars (YUTA, Eddie Kingston and Ortiz). The two groups had to be separated as Americarana ’22 went off the air.

The Wrestling Open Champion is going into this match with a ton of momentum. His win/loss record in Beyond and Wrestling Open in 2023 is near perfect, with wins over Gabriel Skye, Steven Stetson and Dan Barry. He also has previous wins over AEW stars Max Caster and Anthony Henry.

Ortiz was last seen inside a Beyond Wrestling ring at “Motherlude” where he finished a best of three series against Alec Price. Ortiz is a former Ace of the Beyond Wrestling tag team division. He is the only wrestler to compete at every Americarana in Beyond Wrestling history, going back to 2013, eight in total. He is walking into his 9th Americarana, will he walk out of Worcester with the victory?

Two monsters making their Beyond Wrestling debuts. Krule was originally scheduled to make his Beyond debut back when he held the IWTV Independent Wrestling Championship in November at “Motherlude” but ended up getting injured. Now he’s back and is set to face someone that’s been making her name in the death match scene. There’s not much to say about this match other than it might play out like two kaijus doing battle.

Since announcing that he is in remission of stage four Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and returning to Beyond Wrestling back in May, Richard Holliday has been on a mission to prove that he is the top free agent in independent wrestling today.

Brad Hollister has been on a roll since returning from injury and coming back to Beyond. He says he’s worked hard to get to this point. “This past year I have been in Worcester week in an week out. I own the White Eagle. You’re in MY house.”

Both men are making their Americarana debut. The question is, will Brad Hollister go it alone or will Big Business members make their presence felt during the match?

Here is a grudge match over a year in the making. This match was scheduled to take place in early 2022 but then Matt Makowski got injured, putting him on the shelf for that entire time.

At the time Marcus Mathers and Makowski was scheduled to square off, Makowski felt like he was being overlooked for an IWTV Independent Wrestling World Championship title shot that he earned. He went as far as stealing the Mathers’ briefcase which could be used to cash in a title match at any time.

During Makowski’s injury, Marcus has working hard on becoming one of the top names in independent wrestling, earning gold in both singles and tag team competition. Now Makowski is back, and is looking to tie up loose ends. This might be Marcus Mathers’ toughest test to date.

Here’s a match that sorta got thrown together at the last minute. Dan Barry was originally scheduled to face LuFisto, but she pulled from the event following a controversial interview. Ryan Clancy was also set to compete in singles competition against Jonathan Gresham but Gresham had to pull due to injury.

Now it is four way action with Dan Barry, “Fancy” Ryan Clancy, Big Business’ TJ Crawford and “Big Boofa” Dezmond Cole. Dan Barry have been to the dance before, competing at four past Americanranas. Ryan Clancy competed in tag team action at last year’s Rana. As for TJ Crawford and Dezmond Cole, they are both making their debuts.

TJ Crawford has been dangerous since aligning himself with Brad Hollister and Big Business. Dezmond Cole has been on a role lately, since putting The Church of Greatness in his rear view. Ryan Clancy has also been on quite a role himself. And as for Dan Barry, he has the most experience out of all the competitors. Anyone can get the win in this one.

On top of all the action, there’s a wedding set to take place between Love Doug and LMK, Little Mean Kathleen. This wedding is going to be completely unpredictable. I’m sure like most wrestling weddings, this one will go off without a hitch. Be sure to tune in.
