The Week in Women’s Wrestling 8/28/23 – 9/3/23

Kennedi Coepeland will make her return to the White Eagle in Worcester, Massachusetts at Wrestling Open on Thursday, September 7th. Also appearing will be Zayda Steel.

Joseline Navarro and JC Storm will face off in the main event at ACW’s “Welcome to Jamrock” in Kingston, Jamaica on September 9th. Also appearing on the event will be Cassandra Golden, Vanessa Kraven, and WOAD.

Lexus Synn will make her pro wrestling debut at IWC’s Basebrawl on September 9th as she takes on Catie Brite.

An 8-part documentary series “Wrestlers” will debut on Netflix on September 9th. It will be about the independent wrestling promotion OVW, which currently has such women’s wrestlers as Hailey J, Shalonce Royal and Tiffany Nieves.

Renee Michelle will be heading over to the UK and will be facing Session Moth Martina at Progress’ “Steal Yourself” on September 10th.

There will be a 4-way match for the C*4 Underground Championship, as Alexia Nicole defends her title against Stu Grayson, Jody Threat, and Vaughn Bertigo at C*4 “Walking The Edge” on September 15th.

AIW’s JLIT Tournament always gives us some unusual matches and this year is no exception. We will see “The Queen of the Siver Screen” Katie Arquette face Mance Warner and Ziggy Haim against Magnum CK in the first round on September 15th. Also competing in the tournament will be Joseline Navarro.

GCW Ultraviolent Champion Rina Yamashita will take on Session Moth Martina when GCW is in the UK on September 16th. Also announced for this show are Masha Slamovich and BUSSY.

Alejandra Lion will defend her RCW Pheonix Championship against Emmy Camacho at RCW Wrestling’s “Go RCW Go!” on Sep 16th. Also, in what should be a very exciting match, Danni Bee will take on Madi Wrenkowski.

Labor of Love Wrestling will be returning to Philadelphia on September 17th and will feature Edith Surreal, Vita Vonstarr, Abby Jane, and much more.

Allie Katch will finally be making her EVE debut on September 20th.

Clara Carrera looks to make a big impact in her Pro Wrestling Magic debut, as she faces Rebecca Scott at “Take On Me” on September 23rd at The Mecca in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. Rebecca Scott has already advanced to the finals of “Keys to the Queendom” on 12/23.

A big 6-person tag will take place at Beyond Wrestling’s “Wrestling Beach Face” on September 24th. Teddy Goodz, Channing Thomas and Lil Mean Kathlean (with her new husband, Sidney Bakabella in their corner) face Waves and Curls & Willow Nightingale

Zayda Steel looks to settle her rivalry with Jarret Diaz, which has gone on in CZW for 8 months, and has challenged him for an I Quit match on October 1st.

Enjoy Wrestling will be presenting “Killing in the Name” on October 7 in Pittsburgh. This event will feature Edith Surreal defending her Enjoy Championship against Killer Kelly, Ray Lyn, Ziggy Haim, the Enjoy debut of Kidd Bandit, and more.

The Undead Bride, Su Yung, will return to NGW: Tennessee on October 8th for “Nightmare in the Old City.”

Haley Dylan will be making her return to Blitzkrieg! Pro for “Fall Children ‘23” on October 14th.

PCW Ultra’s next event will be “Creature Feature” on October 28th and will feature former NXT UK Superstar Xia Brookside, Viva Van and Zamaya.

Coming off the heels of her impressive Paradigm debut, Alexis Littlefoot looks to keep her momentum going as she faces one of the cornerstones of Paradigm, Jordan Blade at “Time Warp” on November 3rd.

International superstar, The Pink Striker, Miyu Yamashita will make her Pandemonium Pro Wrestling debut in LA on December 17th in a huge first time ever match against Mike Bailey. Also on this card will be AEW’s Taya Valkyrie taking on one of the fastest rising stars, Brooke Havok.

Haley J def Riley Matthews in quick fashion. After the match Haley makes a challenge for a tag match with her and her mother, Amazing Maria, against Shalonce Royal and her attorney, PJ Jones.

Tiffany Nieves w/ Layla Gray and Jada Stone def Arie Alexander. Arie hit Tiffany with a German Suplex and looked to have the match won, but Layla put Tiffany’s foot on the rope. While Arie was arguing with Jada, Tiffany rolled her up with a handful of tights for the win.

Gabby Forza def Tina San Antonio. Tina did not take the loss well and attacked Gabby after the bell.

Hardway Heeter def Jordan Blade when he rolled her up for a pin as Jordan had him locked in a submission.

Masha Slamovich & Rina Yamashita def Los Macizos (Ciclope & Miedo Extremo). This was a great match that included lots of doors and other weapons being used.

Amira def Xia Brookside with a small package after Xia was getting a little too confident, as Xia had pulled Amira up from 2 pinning attempts.

Hoodslam “Psycho-Phoria”

Johnnie Robbie def Cereal Man when she reverses a superplex and crashes onto Cereal Man on top of a pile of Frosted Flakes.

The CAUTION (Anton Voorhees, Dark Sheik & Vipress) def The Boom Gang (James C, Rick Scott Stoner & Scott Rick Stoner).

Best Athlete In The East Bay Title Three Way Match: Sawyer Wreck def Mylo (c) and Brooke Havok when she hits Mylo with a choke bomb onto Brooke and pins them both to become the new holder of the Golden Fanny Packs.

Intergalactic Tag Team Title Match: Lara Frazier & The Lost Treasures (Joe DeSoul & Matt Carlos) (c) def Da Squaaaad (Alpha Zo, Hip Hop Harry & Kenny K) to retain the tag titles and control of the FTF event.
