Alex Hammerstone took to Twitter yesterday to confirm his request for release from MLW after rumors and reports surfaced on Saturday.

Hammerstone’s last official MLW match was at Never Say Never in July when his long MLW World Title reign ended against Alex Kane. He has wrestled for other independent promotions since then but has been missing from MLW.

It is worth noting Lance Anoa’i and Juicy Finau, two fellow MLW wrestlers, requested and have been granted their release from MLW.

Nothing has been confirmed as of this writing if or when MLW will grant Alex Hammerstone his release. We will keep you posted as new details emerge.
