Throughout the past couple of weeks, Create A Pro has uploaded both the first and second half of their CAP TV Live special, Steamboat Willie. The show can be seen on the Create A Pro YouTube channel in its entirety. The main event of this show saw “The Sweeper” Eddie Prevete defend his Create A Pro Mayhem Medal against the “Money Dragon” Angelo Carter.

Part 1 of Create A Pro TV Live: Steamboat Willie

The show kicks off with Create A Pro announcer Ryan Peterson telling the fans he was informed by Create A Pro management to introduce Kal Starvins into the ring. Starvins, who may or may not be Evil Kip in disguise, thanks all of the Create A Pro fans who have supported him, and hopes that on February 18th, Bryce Donovan will re-instate Evil Kip. Starvins says if Kip was there he would appreciate everything everyone has done for him by signing the petition and tweeting at him.

An up-and-coming Create A Pro wrestler, Scott Maverick, makes his way down to the ring and tells Kal that Kip will never be back. This draws out Bryce Donovan and Donovan makes referee Steve Dumeng call for the bell and make this an official match.

Bryce Donovan vs. Scott Maverick

Winner: Bryce Donovan

Now this wasn’t much of a match. The former Create A Pro Champion, Bryce Donovan, finished this match as soon as it started. As soon as Maverick turned around and saw Bryce, he landed a massive chokeslam for the three-count. After the match, Starvins gets back into the ring to celebrate with Starvins. Bryce grabs a mic and says a lot of people want him to sign this petition for Evil Kip, however there have been some holdouts.

Donovan calls out a couple of audience members who don’t want him to sign the petition and tells him to stand up. He says he always does what the fans want, and asks the fans what he should do. Just as it looks like he is about to sign it, he hands the petition back to Starvins and tells him he’ll see him on February 18th at the next CAP show. This was a fun opening segment for CAP TV Steamboat Willie and the fans enjoyed it, as did I.

Create A Pro Television Championship #1 Contenders match: Phil Cardigan vs. JGeorge

Winner: Phil Cardigan

The match starts with a little bit of fun between the two men. Phil Cardigan called for his coffee almost instantly, but JGeorge talked him out of it. The two men then proceed to get some chain wrestling in, as Cardigan lands a big corner dropkick after drinking some of his coffee. Cardigan attempts a “can’t believe it’s not cutter” move but JGeorge moves out of the way to regain composure. After a bit more back and forth, Cardigan trips JGeorge and attempts to pin him for just a two-count.

Cardigan attempts a baseball dive to JGeorge who’s on the outside, but JGeorge catches him and uses the ring apron to his advantage. This changes the momentum of the match in JGeorge’s favor. Cardigan tries to fight back, to no avail, as JGeorge catches him with a big backbreaker. Cardigan drinks some more coffee, but JGeorge hits him with a massive superkick leading to Cardigan spitting out all of it.

Phil once again calls for his coffee which leads to a tug of war between the two men. Cardigan sends JGeorge into the corner facefirst and is able to finally change the course of this match. Cardigan lands a rock bottom on JGeorge for just a two-count. However, JGeorge quickly changes the course of the match and lands a back cracker for just a two-count. JGeorge attempts a pin attempt but Cardigan picks up one of his own for the win.

After the match, JGeorge and Cardigan shake hands, which draws out the artist himself, Jake Lang. Lang, who’s the current CAP Television Champion, attempts to hit Cardigan with his belt, but Cardigan ducks and hits a “can’t believe it’s not cutter” move of his own. This match will be taking place on February 18th.

This match was a lot of fun to watch. Phil Cardigan continues to be one of the most over talents in Create A Pro and JGeorge plays an amazing heel. Both of these men are immensely talented, and Phil Cardigan has earned the right to challenge for the CAP Television Championship. Phil Cardigan and Jake Lang are going to have a barn burner of a match when the two finally meet.

Pat Fitzpatrick, JJ Doze, and Liam Davis vs. Cliff Marshall, TK Wylde, and Nick Robles

Winners: Pat Fitzpatrick, JJ Doze and Liam Davis

Nick Robles starts the match with JJ Doze and the two kick things off with a collar-elbow tie-up. Fitzpatrick tags in and Robles quickly takes him out with a dropkick as well. Robles makes the tag to Wylde, who tags in Marshall and the three have their way with Fitzpatrick. Davis tries to get involved, but Marshall just shines his flashlight in his eyes to get rid of him. This allows Fitzpatrick to regroup and take out Marshall with a big clothesline.

Davis tags in and continues to beat up on Marshall. Davis goes up top and attempts a massive move, however Marshall meets him and sends the big man crashing down to the mat. Robles makes the hot tag into the ring and meets Doze in the center of it. Robles tags in Wylde and the two hit the “PD” on Doze and attempt a pin. However, Davis breaks it up in time and all hell begins to break loose between the two teams.

Wylde hits his finisher on Doze, but he fails to realize Davis is the legal man. Davis locks in his submission move which forces Wylde to tap out. After the match, Davis attacks Marshall and locks in his submission move on him, but Robles makes the save. Robles challenges Davis to a submission match at “Top Guys Only” on February 18th. This was a fun match featuring a lot of the talent Create A Pro has to offer.

Dan Barry vs. Iutik Sucio

Winner: Dan Barry

Dan Barry quickly gets the better of Iutik Sucio with his strikes. However, Sucio uses his strength to try and stop Dan Barry, however this doesn’t have much of an effect. Barry continues to beat up on the Create A Pro newcomer, however, Sucio is eventually able to land a powerslam to switch up the momentum of this match.

Sucio continues to target the back of Dan Barry. However, Barry is able to land a big DDT on Sucio to buy himself some time, This allows Barry to get back into the swing of things and hit some of his unique offensive maneuvers on Sucio. Barry goes up top, but Sucio is able to knock him off the top rope. After some more back-and-forth wrestling, Barry lands a tombstone to pick up the win.

This was a very impressive match by Iutik Sucio, and his future is very bright. The world truly already knows how good Dan Barry is, and he continues to truly be a national treasure.

Aaron Rourke, Jake Lang, Nat Castle (w/ Sebastian Amor) vs. Dante Drago, CPA, and Gabby Forza

Winners: Aaron Rourke, Jake Lang, and Nat Castle

This was the main event of the first part of Steamboat Willie, and it did not disappoint. Gabby Forza and Nat Castle started off the match for their respective teams, however, Castle quickly tagged in Aaron Rourke. The current Create A Pro Champion gets in Forza’s face and tells her she isn’t on his level. She then tags in Dante Drago and the two kick things off with a collar-elbow tie-up. Rourke quickly gains the upper hand, but it doesn’t last as Drago uses his athleticism and lands a big dropkick on Rourke.

Forza tags in and calls for a spear on Rourke, but Rourke quickly tags out. Jake Lang makes his way into the ring, taking his sweet time, as Forza tags in CPA for her team. CPA tries to trip Lang, but Lang catches him and kicks him in the gut. However, CPA lands a flapjack on Lang and attempts a pinfall, but it gets broken up in two and everything breaks down between the two teams. CPA then trips Lang and attempts a big move, but Castle makes the save and it leads to Jake Lang landing a big fisherman suplex on CPA for a two-count.

Rourke, Castle, and Lang beat up on CPA for a good portion of the match. CPA lands a big move on Rourke and both men are down. Drago and Lang make the hot tags for their teams. Lang lands a running dropkick on Drago in the corner and controls the match. The heels beat up on Drago some more while CPA brings himself to the apron. Drago lands a blue thunder bomb on Lang and makes the hot tag on Forza.

Forza and Castle are now the legal competitors and Castle catches Forza with a slap to the face. However, Forza slaps the hell out of Castle in response and takes her out with a big clothesline. Castle attempts a satellite DDT, but Forza counters it with a suplex of her own. Forza finally gets her standoff with Rourke, and just as he tries to run away, Forza lands a big spear. We then get a double-modified version of the 619 from CPA on both Lang and Castle.

Drago hits a massive chokeslam on Lang, but Rourke hits a massive dropkick on Drago. All hell breaks loose again between the teams. Ultimately after more great back-and-forth wrestling, Rourke rolls up CPA after Castle throws some of the Latina Spice, to pin him for the three count. This was a terrific main event to Part 1 of Steamboat Willie and showcased the top talent of Create A Pro very well.

Part 2 of Create A Pro TV Live: Steamboat Willie

Picking up at the end of the six-person tag team match, Sebastian Amor is in the ring hyping up Nat Castle. Amor is incredible on the mic and gets heat like nobody else, which is very impressive for how young in the wrestling world he still is. Amor has the potential to be the next big heel at Create A Pro, following in the footsteps of MJF. Jay Lyon makes his way down to the ring next, and we get a match between Amor and Lyon.

Sebastian Amor (w/ Nat Castle) vs. Jay Lyon

Winner: Sebastian Amor

The Create A Pro faithful is very much behind one half of Mane Event, Jay Lyon, and boo the hell out of Sebastian Amor. Amor gets frustrated as he tries to gain the upper hand against Lyon. Lyon lands chops to the chest of Amor and continues to take the fight to Amor. Amor is able to hang up Jay Lyon over the top rope and quickly land a big lariat off the rope to change the momentum in this match. Amor targets the back of Lyon and continues to maintain his control over the match, and even uses underhanded tactics to continue to damage Lyon.

Lyon tries to fight back to no avail. Amor does an excellent job of staying on top of Lyon, however, Lyon lands a high-risk move on Amor to regain composure in this matchup. Lyon lands a fantastic leaping kick by Lyon and pins Amor for just a two-count. Amor rakes the eyes of Lyons and hits the three amigos on Lyon as fans voice their displeasure. He then lands a backstabber on Lyon and pins him for a very close two-count.

Amor calls for a Sister Abigail, but it gets countered and Lyon sends Amor flying. Amor rolls to the outside to regroup, but Lyon hits a big tope suicida on Amor. Lyon looks for another high-risk move, but Amor sends the ref into the ropes to knock Lyon off. Amor makes his way up top and lands a big frog splash for the three-count and the win.

This was an excellent opening match, for the second part of Steamboat Willie. Jay Lyon is truly a remarkable talent, and the potential Sebastian Amor has is astronomical. Amor has big shoes to fill, but with the heat he’s been getting from the Create A Pro faithful, we may have another MJF situation on our hands. It’s exciting to see how this will play out for Amor and Nat Castle.

Will Straus vs. Vargas

Winner: Vargas

Will Straus gets interviewed in the middle of the ring and acknowledges his lack of success. Straus says he has been going through a lot. One year ago Straus made his debut, and he lost, and tonight he doesn’t even know what he has. Straus says this year he will go undefeated and challenges anyone in the back who wants to come out and fight him. He says he will show everyone why CAP is the house of Straus, and Vargas comes down to the ring.

The match starts with Vargas intimidating Straus. Straus shouts at him that he will win and it’s his year, and Vargas isn’t fazed in the slightest. Vargas lands a big slam on Straus and covers him but won’t let the referee count to three. Vargas attempts a big splash, but Straus moves out of the way. Straus charges the big man and attempts to gain the upper hand, but it doesn’t work. Vargas lands a big chokeslam on Straus, followed up by a destroyer bomb.

Fans chant for one more, and Vargas listens. Vargas lands a second destroyer bomb on Straus and calls for one more. After the third destroyer bomb, Vargas lays his foot on the chest of Straus and pins him. This was fun. Straus has been very fun to watch lately, and Vargas continues to look as dominant as ever.

Tristian Kyle vs. Bobby Orlando

Winner: Tristian Kyle

The match starts with both men playing up to the crowd. The boos rain down on Tristian Kyle as Bobby Orlando gains all the cheers. Kyle grabs a mic and says he’s grateful for Create A Pro, for how amazing he is, but not all of the fans. He says someone as beautiful as him shouldn’t have to be in the ring with Bobby because he’s ugly. Kyle tells Orlando he’d rather kiss Bobby Jr, Bobby’s stuffed goat, over him. Orlando grabs the mic, calls Kyle ugly, and gives Bobby Jr. to a fan for protection.

The two start with a collar-elbow tie-up. Bobby runs outside to the bathroom to wash his hands, much to the dismay of Kyle. Kyle lands a side-headlock on Orlando and the two engage in a feeling-out process of sort. After some more fun back-and-forth between the two men, Kyle sends Orlando face-first into the middle turnbuckle to gain control of the match. Orlando tries to fight back, to no avail as Kyle stays two steps ahead at all times.

Kyle attempts two elbows on Orlando, missing both of them. The two men engage in more great back-and-forth action, but this ends when Kyle regains the upper hand, countering a Bobby Cutter. Kyle steals Bobby Jr from the fan and kisses it. Orlando lands a dropkick and saves the goat from Kyle. However, as Orlando was more focused on saving Bobby Jr, Kyle rolled him up for the three-count and picked up the biggest win of his career.

This match was also a lot of fun. Bobby Orlando is one of the most over-stars in Create A Pro, and that’s not changing any time soon. The new, up-and-comers have been making a very good name for themselves, and Tristian Kyle is a prime example. Despite all the heat he gets, Kyle is one of the most talented young guns in Create A Pro today, and it’ll be a lot of fun to see where his career goes in the future.

Vegan Stevens (Leo Sparrow, Stephen Azure, and Steve Somerset) vs. El Magnifico and Security Inc.

Winners: Vegan Stevens

Leo Sparrow cuts a promo alongside the Even Stevens. Sparrow says GKM sent him there with a special message, and his message is CAW-CAWWWWWWW. He says that he is the son of the sun and the world revolves around him. Stephen Azure says that while some people may be wondering why he’d associate himself with Sparrow, Sparrow taught him that if you want to make it in Create A Pro you have to be willing to injure your opponents and do anything you can to win.

Despite Sparrow accidentally breaking Azure’s jaw in the past, he wants to stand side-by-side with him tonight. Steve Somerset says that the Even Stevens are there to win. He says no more jokes and no more games. Somerset reiterates the point that they are the “vest in the world” for a reason, and it’s time they’re treated like it. El Magnifico and Security Inc. (Moses and Murray) make their way down to the ring as their opponents.

Murray starts things for his team and squares off with Stephen Azure. However, Leo Sparrow tags himself in and gets in the face of Murray. Murray sends Sparrow flying, and Sparrow has a hard time getting the upper hand against the big man. Murray lands a shoulder tackle on Sparrow, and Sparrow is not in a good way in the early going of this match. Moses makes the tag in for his team and continues to beat up Sparrow.

Sparrow is able to finally tag in Somerset, but Moses remains in control of things. After some more back-and-forth, Magnifico attempts a triple 619 type of move, but Azure catches him with a massive spinning spinebuster. The Even Stevens continue to beat up Magnifico and stay in control of this match. Sparrow tags in and lands a shining wizard on Magnifico. Magnifico tries to fight back, to no avail as Sparrow remains two steps ahead.

Sparrow calls for a broccoli buster on El Magnifico but just gets a faceful of foot instead. Magnifico is finally able to tag in a fresh Murray. Murray takes out both members of the Even Stevens. Security Inc. lands a big move on Stephen Azure for just a two-count. Ultimately, Sparrow hits a splash on Magnifico for the three-count. The new side of the Even Stevens is awesome to see and they looked as dominant as ever, and Leo Sparrow continues to make a name for himself and impress everyone since his showdown with MJF last May at Homecoming.

Create A Pro Mayhem Medal match: The Sweeper Eddie Prevete (c) vs. Angelo Carter

Winner: AND STILL Create A Pro Mayhem Medal holder, The Sweeper Eddie Prevete

The Sweeper Eddie Prevete starts the match off by doing what he does best, sweeping the ring. Angelo Carter throws his jacket down in the ring and tells Sweeper to sweep it. However, Carter attacks Prevete from behind and the match officially kicks off. Carter takes the fight to Prevete right off the bat and mocks him by sweeping with his broom. Prevete tries to fight back in the early going and lands a leg kick, followed by a big dropkick to send Carter to the outside.

However, Carter drops the Sweeper on the apron back first and regains control of the match pretty quickly. Carter sends Prevete back into the ring and attempts a pinfall, but just gets a two-count. Prevete tries to fight back, but gets taken down by a clothesline by the “money dragon.” Carter lands a big suplex with ease on Prevete. Sweeper once again tries to fight back, but Carter continues to target the lower back and maintain his control over the match.

Sweeper is able to land a back-body drop on Carter to swing the match in his favor. The two meet in the ring and exchange punches. Sweeper fires up and lands a Russian leg sweep and other unique offense on Carter to get just a two-count. Carter hits a big kick of his own, followed by a big DDT, spiking Prevete on his head, and finishes it off with a brain buster for just a two-count. This was a very cool sequence.

Sweeper removes his overalls and calls for a big move, but Carter moves out of the way. Carter lands a massive spear, cutting Prevete in half, but only gets a two-count. The Money Dragon then tries to submit Prevete, but Sweeper is able to grab the rope with his feet and break it up. Carter calls for his big move, but Sweeper ducks and lands a big Go To “Sweep,” followed by a big running knee to pin and retain his Mayhem Medal. The show ends with Sweeper sweeping in the ring.

This was a terrific back-and-forth main event. The Sweeper continues to impress fans by showing that he’s more than just a funny wrestler, he can go in the ring. Also, I think I speak for many Create A Pro fans when I say that we hope we see more of Angelo Carter in a big way. Carter is immensely talented, and he should be booked all over.

Hello, my name is Scott Mitchell and I have been a professional wrestling fan since 2005. Like everyone the first promotion I really fell in love with is the WWE.
